Q3 – 15:00: San Diego gets possession to start the second half. Matt Prater’s kickoff hits the crossbar and goes out of the end zone for a touchback. The Chargers will start at their own 20-yard line.
Q3 – 14:06: San Diego starts out with four wide receivers. Philip Rivers is flushed out of the pocket and delivers a three-yard shovel pass to fullback Jacob Hester. Rivers moves into the shotgun on second down, but has his pass batted at the line of scrimmage by Andra Davis. Facing 3rd and 7, Rivers returns to the shotgun, but his pass falls short to Darren Sproles. Jarvis Moss had good tight coverage on the running back, and Mike Scifres is in to punt.
Q3 – 13:54: Royal takes Scifres’ kick at the 26-yard line and returns it upfield to the Broncos’ own 36-yard line. That’s where Kyle Orton and the offense will get their second-half attack started.
Q3 – 13:06: Orton starts out of the shotgun, with Jabar Gaffney, Brandon Marshall, and Eddie Royal flanked to his left. He hands off to Knowshon Moreno, who runs right for one yard before being stopped by Shaun Phillips. Back in the shotgun, Orton delivers a quick slant to Royal, who fights for a nine-yard gain. Facing 3rd and 1 at their own 45, a Charger is down on the field, prompting an injury timeout.
Q3 – 12:23: Out of the break, the Broncos line up in an eye-formation set. Spencer Larsen paves a hole for Moreno on the left side, and the rookie takes advantage, rumbling 36 yards downfield to the Chargers’ 19-yard line.
Q3 – 11:59: In the red zone, the Broncos go back to the run with Correll Buckhalter, who goes off left tackle for a modest gain. The Chargers are whistled for offsides, but Daniel Graham is whistled for holding, signaling a replay of first down.
Q3 – 10:54: Orton takes a three-step drop and finds an open Royal on the right side for a seven-yard gain. Into second and short, the Broncos use two tight ends. Correll Buckhalter rumbles up the gut for six yards and a first-and-goal.
Q3 – 9:59: Moreno takes the inside handoff on first down, but runs out of room at the five-yard line. Out of the shotgun, Orton takes a three step drop and looks for Marshall in the back of the end zone. The ball grazes his right hand, but flies out of bounds, setting up third and goal. Again out of the shotgun, Orton looks for Gaffney over the middle, but the play is broken up by strong safety Steve Gregory.
Q3 – 9:56: Matt Prater nails the chip-shot 23-yard field goal, getting the Broncos on the board.
CHARGERS 13, BRONCOS 3

The Broncos attempt the on-side kick, but Chargers receiver Legedu Naanee recovers it. Josh Barrett had a chance to recover it, but the bail sailed through his hands. The Chargers now have favorable field position at the Broncos’ 41-yard line.
Q3 – 8:57: LaDainian Tomlinson takes the first down carry up the middle for four yards, before being dragged down by Elvis Dumervil. Tomlinson is back in on second down, but Rivers goes to the pass, finding Antonio Gates on a quick slant for seven yards and a first down.
Q3 – 7:25: Tomlinson slithers his way through the middle of the defense, running out of room at the 25-yard line after a five-yard gain. Rivers pitches to Tomlinson on second down, who throws it back across the field to Rivers. With the Broncos defense out of position, Rivers spots Antonio Gates in the open field for a 24-yard gain. San Diego now has a 1st and goal at the one-yard line.
Q3 – 6:47: Rivers goes back to Tomlinson, but Andra Davis stops him in his tracks for no gain. Tomlinson tries it again on second down and breaks the plane for the one-yard touchdown. Renaldo Hill and Wesley Woodyard had Tomlinson by the legs, but he used his arm and some extra effort to break the plane. Nate Kaeding tacks on the extra point.
CHARGERS 20, BRONCOS 3
Q3 – 6:46: Kaeding’s kickoff sails to the right side of the field and skirts out of bounds for a touchback. The Broncos will get started at their own 20-yard line.

Q3 – 4:00: Facing significant pressure, Orton eludes several Chargers and throws the ball away. Orton goes back to the run on second down, but Kevin Burnett breaks through the line and stops Correll Buckhalter for no gain. Out of the shotgun on third and long, Orton sets up the screen with Buckhalter, but he’s five yards shy of the first-down marker.
Q3 – 3:54: Head Coach Josh McDaniels sends the offense out onto the field for 4th and 5 from the San Diego 40-yard line. That prompts the Chargers to use their first timeout of the second half.
Q3 – 3:51: Out of the timeout, Orton drops back to pass and spots Gaffney open over the middle of the field. The pass sails a few yards behind him, and the Chargers will take over on downs at their own 40-yard line.
Q3 – 3:00: Tomlinson gets the call on first down, following Hester up the middle for five yards. Sproles gives him a breather on second down, going off left tackle for a couple of yards. Elvis Dumervil was offsides on the play, giving San Diego a first down at midfield.
Q3 – 2:19: Following TE Brandon Manumaleuna, Sproles goes off left for a few yards. But the play is whistled dead, as Kenny Peterson was offsides. With 1st and 5 at the Denver 45, Tomlinson re-enters the game. Rivers shakes off the run, and looks to go deep for Vincent Jackson, but the ball sails a few yards long into the end zone.
Q3 – 0:37: On 2nd and 5, Tomlinson rumbles for five yards, reaching the marker for another San Diego first down. Nate Kaeding comes in and converts a 28-yard field goal. After the conclusion of the play, Ronald Fields is called for an unsportsmanlike conduct play, which will be enforced on the kickoff.
CHARGERS 23, BRONCOS 3

Q4 – 13:33: Orton looks for Marshall on first down, but the pass is broken up along the right sideline by Chargers safety Steve Gregory. The Chargers show blitz on second down, and Kevin Burnett comes up with a seven-yard sack. Q4 – 13:22: Mitch Berger’s punt goes for 45 yards. It is picked up by Sproles at the 42-yard line, and returned six yards before he is met by Darrell Reid. San Diego will get started at its own 48-yard line.
Q4 – 12:06: Tomlinson takes the first-down carry for San Diego, finding running room on the right side for 13 yards and a first down. Mario Haggan drags him out of bounds after a three-yard gain, backing the Chargers into a third-and-goal scenario. Sproles tests the middle of the Broncos’ defense, but he is met by a trio of defenders at the one-yard line to set up fourth and goal. Chargers tackle Jeromey Clary is down on the play, leading to a break in the action.
Q4 – 10:28: Clary is carted off the field and Kaeding is in to attempt his fourth field goal of the game. The 19-yard attempt is good.
CHARGERS 26, BRONCOS 3

He springs free behind the blocking of Russ Hochstein and Casey Wiegmann for a 25-yard gain and a first down at the San Diego 26-yard line. Chargers ILB Kevin Burnett is down, leading to a stoppage of play.
Q4 – 7:49: Out of the shotgun, Orton finds Moreno in the left flat. The rookie picks up six yards and gets out of bounds to stop the clock. Again out of the gun, Orton finds Marshall over the middle for six yards and a first down into the red zone.
Q4 – 7:42: Orton takes a shot to Marshall in the back right corner of the end zone, but the ball sails incomplete. On second down at the San Diego 14-yard line, Ryan Clady is whistled for a false start. With 2nd and 15 from the 19-yard line, Orton lines up with four wide receivers and throws incomplete. The closest receiver to the ball was Gaffney. Orton tries a right-side fade to Marshall on third down, but Quentin Jammer breaks up the pass.
Q4 – 7:37: Trailing by three-plus scores, the Broncos go for it on 4th and 15. Orton fields a low snap, but then throws low to Marshall at the foot of the goal line. The Chargers will take over on downs at their own 19-yard line.
Q4 – 5:40: The Chargers hand off to the upback Tolbert on first down for a five yard gain. Milking the playclock down as far as he can, Rivers hands to his other fullback, Hester, for a one-yard gain. Hester gets the call again on third down and converts, sneaking his way for a 14-yard gain and a new set of downs.
Q4 – 3:59: San Diego continues its rotation with its fullbacks, handing to Tolbert for a six-yard gain on first down. Under the five-minute mark, the Chargers line up in the I-formation and go again to Tolbert, who pushes the pile two yards forward. On third and short, Hester is stopped short of the marker by Le Kevin Smith, prompting the Broncos to call their first timeout of the second half.
Q4 – 3:51: Scifres comes in to punt, delivering a low line-drive kick that bounces into the end zone for a touchback. The Broncos will get another chance on offense at their own 20-yard line.
Q4 – 3:39: Orton starts in the shotgun with three wide receivers and Buckhalter as the lone setback. With time, his pass is broken up by Chargers ILB Stephen Cooper. Sporting the same personnel, Orton fires a quick pass left to Royal, who gets out of bounds after an eight-yard gain.
Q4 – 3:29: On third and short, Orton looks downfield for Gaffney, but the play is broken up by Quentin Jammer. Orton looks again for Gaffney on fourth down, but the ball can’t get by the outstretched hand of Steve Gregory. San Diego takes over on downs at the Denver 28-yard line.
Q4 – 2:00: Rivers goes back to his fullback Hester, who carries upfield for nine yards. Using a three tight end set, Tolbert comes in and runs for enough to move the chains. With 1st and 10 at the Denver 17, Hester takes another handoff for three yards, bringing us to the two-minute warning here at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
Q4 – 1:02: Out of the break, Tolbert goes up the gut for three yards, setting up 3rd and 4 at the Denver 11-yard line. Continuing the rotation, Hester takes a counter carry off his left tackle. The officials call for a measurement and he is just about a full yard short of the first down.
Q4 – 0:34: Holding a 23-point lead, the Chargers line up on 4th and 1 at the Denver 8-yard line. Out of the I-formation, Rivers gives a quick handoff to Tolbert who bursts through for an 8-yard touchdown. He fumbled the ball in the end zone but recovered it in time before Darcel McBath could pounce on it. Kaeding’s extra point is blocked by Marcus Thomas and recovered by Renaldo Hill, equaling a dead ball.
CHARGERS 32, BRONCOS 3
Q4 – 0:33: Kaeding’s kickoff is fielded in the end zone by Royal, and he takes a knee. The Broncos have 1st and 10 from their own 20-yard line.

Thanks for following our blog, and be sure to return to DenverBroncos.com later this evening for complete postgame coverage.
FINAL: CHARGERS 32, BRONCOS 3

This is what I have to say….This team is being led by a coach who has absolutely no idea what he is doing. A coach who has hit panic mode, who has mismanaged this team from the very beginning. You cannot call me a fairweather fan, because even when we were 6-0 I said this team was not very good. People bashed me for saying that, but I only based it on football. As a fan, you root for you team, even when they are not good and that is what I am doing. too many people on here ebb and flow in their comments. I believe we set a trend where as we will NOT improve over the next few seasons. Seriously, although we finished 8-8 last year, we had a team that was poised to actually be pretty good this year. The defensive problems have been shored up some, because they are not playing as poorly as last year, but amazingly, we now have no offense. McDaniels was no offensive genius in New England, he was the beneficiary of Brady, Moss and Welker. Have you noticed that they have not missed a beat in New England without McD. Five straight 300 yard passing games for Brady I believe. 15 catches 180 for Welker this week. Are you serious. this move away from Shanny was ridiculous. How can you “fans” be happy with 8-8 with McD when we ALREADY had a 8-8 team. You do not bring in someone new to do the same as the old coach, you bring in someone new to get better. Moreno is a joke. Do you realize how potent our defense would be if we would have drafted Orakpo, a proven pass rusher to be on the opposite side of Doom. The makeshift misfits we have on the DL (which I said would not work out early) are not going to cut it. So let me ask you this fans. We have a team with a roud history. Say what you will about Simms, he got our team as close to the end zone as Orton did. The problem was, McD had no idea how to deal with a left handed QB. He was getting killed on the blindside by the man Polumbus was “blocking”. He completed half of his passes and Orton, well didn’t. Also for the uneducated fans who believe we will have two picks in next years draft, We traded away the Chicago pick, which at this team would have been the better of the two, for a CB who is not even good enough to be our third corner. You don’t do that in a good organization. We have no future because of bad decisions. Let’s look at the corners, Champ is not playing at the level he used to which is expected because he is getting older. Goodman, is not good man. Dawkins is pivotal this year, but is already feeling the affects of not being as young as he used to be. There is no depth behind them. At LB WIlliams and Davis play well, then what and there is no depth. QB is a lost cause. No matter who goes in next year we are starting over. Not good if you expect to play well. We do not have an answer at running back. So what Moreno leads rookies in rushing, there are no other rookies starting. The direction this team is going in is abysmal. The fans IN Denver see that and don’t come out. The fans on here are dilusional it seems. Be Real, it’s the only way to be TRUE. Expect more, don’t settle for less.
We traded our own pick, kept the Chicago pick.
An uneducated fan. LOL.
quality call out baylin…..remind me never to go to the restroom midrant, throws my facts in a jumble.
I have a something to say that really troubles me, and it doesn’t have to do with aging players, which, granted, is a problem but rather with how much we have been stymied by youth, namely at two positions: Running back and Head Coach. Follow me, if you wish, McD and Moreno, like any youth, can at times be brilliant but unfortunately will very often do utterly stupid things. This game was a microcosm of that.
McD: All week long he says this is not a must win game, we will not lose the division or be eliminated from the playoffs with a loss, etc…. So he starts Simms to rightfully let Orton heal, then mid game HE BRINGS IN AN AILING ORTON!!! Well if Orton could play to start with, start him if you think this is a must win game, but if you don’t start him but he could start then obviously it’s because you don’t believe this is a must win game. WHICH WAS IT COACH? He is coaching around with his head cut off right now, no doubt in my mind. He needs to have a much clearer picture of where he and his team stands, but I truly believe youth is standing in his way at that position. The onside kick with 10 minutes to go in the third quarter and only down 10 points is a perfect example of it. My guess is he watched his mentor Belicheck all week going for it on 4th and 2 at their own 28 and fail last week, and he just wanted to show he could outdo him.
Moreno, I said already plenty about him on this blog’s previous page, so I will make it short ans sweet. He has to be the most game killer rookie RB I have ever seen. Acts like a kid, runs like a kid and does all the stupid things you’d expect a kid to do.
Now, couple that with the fact McD made Moreno his fisrt draft pick and will play him no matter what because of it, we are now in a total quagmire, with absolutely no easy way out, because TO GROW UP TAKES TIME. Yes, fans, age does matter. You don’t buy or learn experience, you acquire it over time. We could be waiting a while…
Simms could only complete 2 passes of course we gonna lose, and Moreno has to stop with all the fumbles, it kills us and the penalties come on guys! we can play better, we have to if we have any shot of making it to the playoffs. It also seems apparent that we do not know how to handle injuries, Ryan Harris toe can not be that severely injured, and Orton managed to play hobbled, it all comes down to toughness, and coah MCD cannot try to save the players for the playoffs if were not even in the playoff hunt, Pittsburgh and the Baltimore; understandable, but Washington and San Diego, why is our formula for being 6-0 changing, nothing was broke obviously, why are we approaching games differently, and we have to get Eddie Royal the ball more, he has the same skill set as Wes Welker why don’t we run the screens to him he can make plays we have to give him the ball, you look at our offense and you can see it mirrors the Patriots with players and their skill set but for some reason we just are not getting it done offensively, I f Orton cn’t go again Brandstater should get the nod, I mean at least see what he has to offer I’m sure he can complete more than 2 passes.
Robert Ayers was a waste I don’t see many post on him but I thought I let it be known we could of drafted Rey Maualuga.
In my book Orapko was the one we should of picked, he got picked right after Moreno. I live near Austin, so I knew a lot about Orapko with the Longhorns.
The loss hurt real bad today. THere are always low points in a season. I’m going to keep hope that this is the lowest point this year and we are going to turn things around on Thursday against the Giants. Come on McD, get our players to play with the passion to win. Just win please!
broncos will lose to the giants this week…with two slow QBS who ever starts is going to get creamed all night by OSI and Tuck!!! 6-5 here we come…i kinda hope we just keep loseing so we get decent pics…please keep drafting defense and lets get a QB for the future…ORTON WOULD MAKE A SWEET BACK UP!!!
u fans better stop ripping on Knowsean cuz over the last few weeks he has been amazing and that fumble was a freak fumble!!! just imagine if we still had shanny and made those moves…we would have KNOW running the zone sceme more then delays and counters….KNOW would have 1500 yards in that system…in this system he will just get a thousand….he needs more touches…..avg 8.0 a carry vs SD….give the man a chance!
Hello Bronco Country!
Well posting once then I’m done until Thursday! So here goes:
JMac, I love ya as my team’s head coach. However, your on side kick call has got to be the dumbest move I have ever seen! PERIOD! Let’s give Rivers the ball on our own 35 yard line early in the 3rd qtr with the score 13 – 3 WTF are you doing? LOL!
USE HILLIS AND LARSEN IN THE BACKFIELD DURING OUR GOAL LINE OFFENSE! PLEASE! PLEASE! HECK, I think I lip read Norv Turner say “Why aren’t they using Hillis & Larsen here?”
I’m not going to throw this team under the bus, there’s plenty of that going on right now. I saw some very good football during weeks 1 – 6. Now, if someone can tell me what happened between 6 – 10 that would be great! LOL
I honestly believe we would have been more competitive had Orton started. I think JMac got a wake up call with Simms. Move him to 3 and Brandstater to 2
Guys/Gals I don’t know where this team will end up. I still believe that locker room has leadership it has talent. I don’t play in the NFL but you can’t tell me people like Champ, Dawkins, Williams etc are “ok” with this.
What’s it gonna take? Not sure, but what I do know is they have it! It’s gotta get turned lose again! This isn’t about age, it’s not about JMac signing ex-patriots and that kind of garbage. Tell Dawkins he can’t play anymore….LOL!
Hang in there BRONCOS COUNTRY! we’re all dissapointed! Be realistic! It’s OK to come on this blog and vent! Totally understand! But don’t give up! our organization is better than that! We as fans are better than that!!!!
I’m not calling anyone out that is not my intent. All I am saying is the last 4 weeks HAS SUCKED LOL! NO DOUBT!
BUT….we are 6 – 4 and have a very, very, very good shot at the playoffs. The season is far from over! Besides considering our situation, we still have a lot to CHEER FOR! a lot to YELL FOR! a lot to stand in the stadium, in your home or in a bar and get LOUD! CRAZY! HAPPY! MAD! ….LOL!
Bottom line is we’re still here…..let’s see where it ends up…in the mean time 3 days and we’re kicking off again.
Time to move to 7 – 4
Broncos 31
other team 24
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
Good news….
I have never been to a Broncos game (in Denver, Mile High or Invesco) in which the Broncos lost. We won some nail bitters… and we won others with decisiveness.
I’m going to the game Thanksgiving night against the Geeeee-Meeeeen.
Let’s hope the undefeated streak (based off my attendance) continues. LOL.
Look heres the thing on the onside kick…We get the ball back..McD is a genius…we lose the ball like we did..McD is an idiot..its all about how the game is played…let it lie….
BTW..where the heck is 07Elway??Im interested in her take..
She just posted earlier on the Cooper blog.
No 83> I hope your right about that streak. I forgot what it likes to have a W> This freaking sucks. My heart hurts, my head hurts, and whiskey is numbing the pain anymore. WTF is going on????
I just cant believe the bad luck we have been having, the fumble by moreno, sims in the red zone. Pathetic! The onside kick in the 3rd, with 10 to go? Seriously?
Mc D is coaching like a apple that fell far from the Bellichek tree.
I just dont get it. I cant sit here at work much longer at work and try to expalin what is happening to our team after every idiot comes up to me and asks. I dont have any answer besides ” WE SUCK AGAIN”! At this point im rooting for 8-8
Who would have thought?!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! Im thankful that we get the Bears 1st round pick because they bad if not worse than us.
You know how you feel when you’re a kid and you do something wrong and while your dad still loves you he has that “I’m disappointed in you” look, that’s how I feel right now.
ok, well, another disappointing loss. well here is my take.
first of all, i myself have come to terms with this season being a “rebuilding” year. before the season started i thought we would be able to go at least 500 on the season. i still think we make that which in my eyes is a good season considering all the offseason changes that occured.
next, McD… i STILL like this coach very much and am looking forward to him being our coach for quite a while. I think he has a winning attitude, and knows what it takes to put together a team. BUT….. he is sometimes his own worst enemy. i think he is just a wee smidge full of himself, and he really needs to be a bit less stubborn when it comes to the idea of his scheme. prime example being the zone blocking scheme. he knows it works, we are winning the battle in the trenches with it, so why not incorporate it into his own scheme? just because its unfamiliar doesnt make it bad! also, i feel like his age has him feeling a bit invincible. thus the onside kick in the 3rd quarter. course as someone else stated earlier, if we recover that and score then he looks like a genius. high risk high reward….. wait a minute didnt he get rid of a quarterback who played that way? lol my next complaint is this… if orton was good enough to play, then he should have been in there the whole game. all McD managed to do was alienate simms! now you better believe simms has NO confidence! im not sayin he should have necessarily stayed in the game, i personally thought he looked VERY SHAKY. if orton was healthy enough to play backup, then he should have been starting! at this point tho, i dont see how McD can justify keeping simms as the #2. he has no confidence in him now. may as well cut him, move brandstater to #2. or at least drop simms to the #3 spot.
on to the running game… i have to disagree with everyone that is hatin on moreno right now! look, the kid is just that, a kid!! he has made quite a few mistakes this season, but i cant ignore his upside either! most of his mistakes have been rookie mistakes imo. some dumb fumbles, missed blocks, things like that. those will be overcome with experience!! i especially have to back him up on that fumble yesterday!! this is my broncos blog stand for the season! i cant believe that everyone is so upset about that play? he ran hard, had that ball tucked away tight(1 hand on each corner) as he goes down he stretches the ball out to break the plane, then his own guy knocks it outa his hands! now i dont know if the ball actually broke the plane or not, but keep in mind that if it was called a TD, then i bet the call would have stood then as well!! but here is what has me a bit riled up over here….. i know that there are tons of marshall fans on this blog, hell im one of them! now marshall coming over to moreno after that play to B*%CH out moreno for the fumble is a bunch of crap! anybody care to remember how many fumbles marshall had last year because he was trying to make plays? thats all moreno was tryin to do was make a play! another inch literally i think and moreno has a TD with that 2nd and 3rd effort!! and we are all singin a different tune! i thought moreno did a good job yesterday. he looked fast, was running tough, and i love that hit he put on someone off the right side! thats what i expect to see him doing. i hope he doesnt hesitate to reach for the goal line next time he is down there! i guess my point is i think we all just need to step back, take a breath and remember that this season (no matter how many games we won early in the season) is ultimately a rebuilding year! for me at least it takes some of the pressure off and gives me an opportunity to just enjoy some broncos football!
not tryin to step on toes here, just my 2 cents. now lets go kick some giants butt!
Go Broncos
“DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS”
All I’m gonna say is really. Talking trash to players really??? YOUR THE HC and you talking trash to the players?
For all those getting on Marshall about Fumshawn. When Marshall was fumbling alot of players got on him on the sideline. Cameras were to busy looking at Shanny. I don’t care if youy run into the ref and fumble. It’s your fault! When someone walking around on the sideline acting like it’s not their fault. I’m glad someone got on him. After that they kept showing the sideline. Noone except Orton and Marshall had a since of urgency on their face. Till we lost now everyone feels it. Wasn’t stupid penalties, nonchalantness, status quo on players and coaches. Last yr was why we got a new coach?? Samething going on now. This isn’t college. You can blame this on the other coaches players. Talking bout you need the right players to run your system. No excuse!!!
You guys blame the loss on Moreno because of a fumble, when he was trying to make a play. What about Orton he’s pathetic,he’s a free agent after this year,I say na na na na hey hey hey GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Either start Brandstater or take Snead or Bradford in next years draft,Orton and Simms both should be gone.IMO
I went to the game on Sunday. I can’t say I remember everything clearly, of course that might be a good thing consiDering the product on the field. This message is not to bash the team though. I truly believe that this is a good team and better than the team that left mile high dejected. No my rant is going to be toward the fans at mile high this Sunday last. I am able to go to 1-2 games per year. I typically sit in the north-east stands about 4 rows up from the field. I noted this because it has specific importance to this particular expierence. It was san deigos 1st drive and they were on the 2 yard line about to score. So me being the 12th man that I believe we should all be was standing, stomping screaming and trying to be as disruptive as possible. Unfortunately they scored and the game moved on. After that score I had another Bronco fan that was seated about 4 rows behind me come down to my seat and tell me that I needed to sit down during the game because the people behind me could not see! Now my parents taught me to be respectful to the elderly and anyone who might be disabled. These people behind me were neither. So I decided to ingage this man in the arguement that I thought I would never have to have with a fellow Bronco fan at the stadium. I explained the whole 12th man theory and how if we are loud and disruptive that this actually helps our team, and that the players actually request this when they waive their hands up and down. This arguement went on for about 5 minutes, enough time for event staff to be called down and they asked what the problem was and then proceeded to looked as confused as me at what was transpiring. This is the 2nd time in to years that I have been told to be queit or sit down during a game while our defense was at work on the field. The other was at the dolphin game last year. There were 2 dolphin fans 3 rows in front of us that were tawnting the fans behind them everytime the dolphins would do something positive. Me being a Bronco fan took offense like I thought I was supposed to and began to tawnt back. Long story short, the event staff had a police officer come down to talk to everyone involved and at the end of our conversation, I was told that I was not allowed to tawnt them for the remainder of the game, and when I asked about their conduct I was told that they were allowed to cheer for their team! So in a nutshell I was told to not cheer at mile high for the Broncos, but allow some dolphin fans to not only cheer but also tawnt Broncos fans at mile high. I am taken back by all this especially on the heels of finding out that a couple of Broncos fans were ejected from baltimore’s stadium for standing an cherring when the NFL cameras would pan the crowd. I don’t know how we can call ourselves fans if we are not allowed to stand and defend our house from the flood of fans pooring into it to cheer for the other team. I am so tired of watching other teams fans take over our stadium and we as fans just sit on our hands while they run a muck in our house. I know everyone talks about mile high magic, but I stopped beleiving in magic when I was 8. Their is no mystic force that is going bring back the glory years it is the voices of the people in the seats that will carry this team back to it’s once storied glory. But if all were going to do is bicker about the team to each other on air and everywhere else and sit on our hands at the stadium, then don’t expect this team to be any better that the fans who supposedly support them! I have been a Bronco fan my whole life and have never thought I would see the day that Broncos fans would allow ourselves to get bullied and pushed around at our own stadium! I for one am ashamed of our fans. If you have season tickets and have the notion to sell them to your friends, family members, co-workers, etc… Please do not sell them to opposing teams fans, because it has become the opinion of the staff that they have more rights then the home town fans! I hope that BRONCOS COUNTRY can rise again to it’s level of greatness, but I don’t think that it will come from a better product on the field! I may not like the team from week to week but I do love this team and will back them no matter what! Some of us fans need to do some deep soul searching and find your absolutes, and if by chance the Broncos are not on that list, maybe consider doing something other than waisting seats at mile high on Sundays! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no limit soldier, thanks for sharing your experience, I feel for you, I have never been to Invesco field and from what I hear I am not missing much. I used to attend two or three games a year at mile high stadium for over 15 years, I think I better keep those experiences in my memory box. Our world now lives in a state of political correctness, and things like you discussed today happen in our daily lives everyday, making you feel as if you have to operate in the world constantly hand cuffed, and I dispise it, because people have always called me brutally honest, I say it like it is, so imagine the tough times I’m finding myself dealing with. But I adapt and thank the Heavens I was born and lived a lot of my life at a time when it was much easier to be who you are. Progress, not always so grand….
If McD puts Brandstater in at QB & Hillis at RB I fill McD will set them up to fail, just to try & shut everyone up.
