15:00: The Browns start the second quarter with a first down at their 45-yard line.
Jerome Harrison gains 16 yards then 13 yards and the Browns are in business at the Broncos 26.
13:57: After a first down incompletion, Lewis takes it up the middle and is horse collared down by Jamie Winborn. Flags quickly fly and the Browns have the ball at the 11-yard line.
13:00: Lewis gets 4-yards on the next play and then Quinn misses to Braylon Edwards and Steve Heiden. On comes Phil Dawson who burries a 24-yard field goal giving the Browns a 10-7 lead.
12:45: After dropping the kickoff, Royal can only get the ball to the 15-yard line. Out comes Cutler and the Broncos offense. Cutler’s 128 first-quarter passing yards are the most first quarter passing yards of his career and the fifth highest total in the NFL this season. (Thanks to stat guru Patrick Smyth)
12:39: Cutler starts the drive looking for Marshall, but he is well covered and the pass falls incomplete. On second down, Daniel Graham is flagged for holding after a Torain 8-yard run and it is now 2nd and 13. Timeout Broncos.
12:04: After the timeout, Cutler is picked off by Brodney Pool. Looks like a miscommunication between the two.
10:50: After a short gain by Lewis and a 4-yard pass from Quinn to Heinden, the Browns add onto their lead as Quinn and Winslow hook up for their second touchdown on the evening. Extra point is good, Browns 17 – Broncos 7.
10:24: Broncos start their drive at the 23-yard line … Torain gets seven on first and second down giving the Broncos a first down.
9:01: Torain continues his big gains, getting 9-yards on first down and patting each of his lineman on his way back to the huddle.
8:01: After a gaining six yards on first down, Torain remains on the ground. It looked from here that a Browns player fell on his legs. Torain is able to get up and jog off the field.
7:32: Cutler finds Scheffler for 24 yards, and the Broncos are in the red zone.
6:48: Cutler just misses Daniel Graham on what would have been a touchdown had he caught it … on third down Cutler throws a jump ball for Scheffler who interfered with Mike Adams of the Browns. Now it is third and 18.
5:52: Marshall is able to pick up a few yards on third down and on fourth down Prater hits from 35-yards out narrowing the lead to 17-10.
5:48: Prater negates the dangerous Cribbs with a deep kick in the endzone that goes for a touchback. First down Browns at the 20.
5:42: The Quinn – Winslow connections continues, with 15-yard reception on first down … after short gains, the Browns move into Denver territory as Quinn and Heiden hook up for 14 yards.
2:00: Two-minute warning and Browns facing a 3rd and 5 from the Broncos 38-yard line.
INJURY UPDATE: Ryan Torain has a left knee sprain and Selvin Young has a groin injury. Both are questionable to return.
2:00: The Browns are unable to pick up the first down and there is some debate on the Browns bench about whether or not to go for it on fourth down. The debate is going to go a bit longer as the Browns call a timeout.
1:14: Decision made and out comes the field goal unit. Phil Dawson splits the uprights from 52 yards. Browns go back up by 10, 20-10.
1:09: Dawson, fresh off his field goal, sends the kickoff through the endzone. First down Broncos at the 20… Cutler finds Marshall wide open on first down, but Marshall couldn’t hang on.
1:04: After completions to Stokley and Marshall, the Broncos have the ball at their 37-yard line. Timeout Broncos.
0:41: Broncos in hurry up … 9-yards to Marshall … Cutler with a sneak gets the ball into Browns territory and the Broncos call their final timeout.
0:16: Cutler incomplete to Marshall, and he got rocked after the throw by Willie McGinest. The half ends after a Cutler run. Broncos trail 20-10.

i think that this is the worst i’ve seen the run D all season, they’ve been bad, but this is terrible, already allowed 86 yards
At least we held them to only 3 pts and not a TD. Our D is very young people… keep that in mind when you start to questioning their playing. Some of them are hopefully temporary replacements for some BIG SHOES. And there is plenty more of this game left.
Here comes #6 to take charge again… hope he can give ATV some chances to get our running game back together.

I’m doing good, could use a good massage after 2 back to back basketball games last night. Yeah our D needs to learn to body tackle, we are so light but fast, just need to use their bodies more, arm tackles don’t work on cheerleaders!
Like I said maintain your gaps guys, they just keep using the cut back lane. They are going to run a lot then pass, when they do pass it will be shallow routes and a lot of slants to get Quinn going. Jump the passing lane guys when that comes!

Gee whiz… another INT. That was on Marshall though, another case of bad miscommunication. And even more disturbing news our 20th turnover of the season, ICK. Does that not give you the heebie geebies??? Very ugly number for us. It needs to get fixed ASAP or were headed down a very steep hill in this game. We can pull through this. NO more mistakes – we just can’t afford it.
Oh crap, ATV is down on the field. This night is turning out to be our enemy. This is not pretty. I hate injuries.

Can’t blame that on anyone, its just life but it sucks!!! Shanny said he didn’t think Young would make it all the way through this game. It is his first game back from his injury… he’ll probably see as much playing time his first time back as ATV did last week. The first game back wouldn’t be easy… this is big contact sport.

Did you see Cutler run for that 1st down, he he, I love this kid. He’s fun to watch… absolutely unpredictable!!! Just makes a girl smile.
It is sad about the injuries but its not the end of the world… we’ll recover, we’ll find someway to fill the holes but its going to take complete dedication from the young guys to pull off a miracle.
Too bad we couldn’t score before the Half… very jittery last drive but 2nd half is coming. Hold on to your seats… it should be very interesting.

The 3rd quarter let down is just around the corner. So sad to see what’s happening. If it were not for bad luck there wouldn’t be any luck at all. Injuries pilling up, this team is not on the same page. One’s dippin, one’s dappin and no one else knows whats happenin! Man I cannot take much more of this anguish. 07elway, can’t believe how positive you are at this point!!!! Glad to see you still believe though. Even though I rip this team i still love them. Just makes me sick to my stomach to see us this bad. This was supposed to be a special year, and all that happens is dismay. Sorry guys, Cutler has to get some swagger in his step and needs some serious help. He cannot do this by himself. Without a running game we are sunk. Good luck, in the next half boys, you will need it.

I love this team and I’ll always be a fan, but I am disappointed with B Marsh. Two drops and he is responsible for the pick. Too many injuries and our defense cannot get pressure on Quinn. It’s unfortunate that most people/fans will put the blame on Cutler, but it’s not his fault. We need to get pressure on defense and we need a running game. Go Broncos!

The running game was starting to become something there with ATV, he just got hurt though so we’ll see if he comes back, he’s such a fighter I bet he does. Also Young is not in there for the paycheck, shut up about that, he has a pulled groin I mean that’s bad enough but that injury as a HB is just the worst. Shanny knew he wouldn’t be for a whole game today, but we needed 2 backs so we brought him in.
We just need to tackle better! 2nd half here we come! D will step up and Marshall with Cutler will be on the same page. We’ll make a game of it!

I’m as positive as a fan as you can find, but even I’m so mad I can’t see straight. This has been the most frustrating month of football I can remember. I don’t care if the Broncos lose, but at least look like a professional football team for god’s sake.
