I think that overall people dislike Orton. I was at the game and he is not very good. He holds the ball for an amazingly long time, but a lot of that is because the offense is predictable. Most of the game Cleveland didn't even play a safety deep because they don't even respect Orton's arm. they booed Orton a lot because of his decision making. He was not impressive at all. BUT, we are playing good D. and even though Doom had a lot of sacks, we are not very good at rushing the QB. Some of you will disagree because of the sack totals, but the secondary play is fantastic and causes the QB to hold the ball for a very long time. Overall though 2-0 even with KO. We should probably run the ball a whole lot more.

For those of us who like what we are seeing out of Orton, you people have faith in this team. And I just don't finish reading comments posted with all of the negative chat about Orton. Because those people don't have faith in this team, because team means all of the Players,Coaches, and Management. Not just the players that you'd like to see play because some of the other players can't throw the ball 40+ yards.
That's just my observation, and you have the right to not finish reading my comment.

I had a lot of fun last week at work because Cutler threw all of those picks, lost the game and Orton didn't lose the game and had no picks. There is a guy in the office that is a Bears fan and he was just thrilled when McD. traded Cutler to Chicago. I told him that Cutler would throw more picks this year than t.d's. We beat the Bengals 12-7 and then they turn around and beat the Packers yesterday. Then the Bears turn around and beat the Steelers.

Have A Great Day Broncos Country.

GO Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm liking what I'm seeing on both offense and defense, don't get me wrong because the offense still has a long way to go to be perfect, but no picks and they scored on a suspect defense. Another good win as this should build confidence. I'm still wondering about B-Marsh's production though. Gaffney looked good and so did Stokley. I don't know if they'll make it to the playoffs this year but I'm sure that they'll make me proud.
Heck man I'm already proud of them and always will be.

haha, that's what was funny!! Doom had 4 sacks and we had a team total of 7 sacks. We also didn't have any sacks on us!! Orton moved very well and escaped the rushers several times!!! BELIEVE IN ORTON!!

a great home opener for our Broncos, we got the total package this week, offense with 27pts on the board and D which only allowed 6 points. Orton definitely stepped up his game and is starting to look comfortable, a good sign at week 2 with a 2-0 record. While a victory over the Browns is not so notable, Cinci played a great game this week making our victory last week look much better. Now we face the Raiders who are looking much better than last year and should be a bit of a challenge (we'll squash them like we always do). We have a tough schedule ahead of us but if we keep showing improvement like this we will own the division.
As for the folks complaining about Orton bashing, get over it, this is football, we respect him when he plays well and bash him when he doesn't just like any other player so rub some dirt in it and shake it off :-) .

DOOOOOOOOOM!!!! Outstanding football today D!!! Stick together and Stay together and the offense will take care of itself. If the opponent can't score, we'll always have a chance and that's what wins games!! 4 sacks in one game, OFF-THE-CHAIN!!

That's was a great game, especially in the 2nd half.

I am little disappointed to read so many comments about how bad Orton is. I guess I'm watching a different game. Yes, there were a few bad throws, but I also saw quite a few dropped passes. How about that one that Stokely dropped in the red zone??? You can't blame that one on Orton. The ball went right through Stokely's hands.

Honestly, I don't know what you guys are expecting. A win is a win is a win, I don't care who they've played. And technically, beating Cinci was a GREAT win, especially since Cinci not only put up 31 points in Green Bay yesterday (validates our defense holding them to 7 last week), but they WON! This is the same GB team that beat Cutler last week, right? Come on....give the Broncs some credit. They're not as bad as everyone seems to think.

Back on the Orton thing. I'm really getting pretty tired of the "franchise QB" BS. Look back at Super Bowl history. How many teams have won the SB without a franchise QB. Tons of them! Hell, the Broncs have lost some Super Bowls to them! Phil Simms, Doug Williams....are those franchise QBs??? What about Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien?? They've WON Super Bowls. Are you surprised??? Look at all the teams that have franchise QBs now. Phillip Rivers, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer, even Jay Cutler... What kind of playoff/Super Bowl success have they had?? Exactly. None. It takes more than a franchise QB to win a Super Bowl. In fact, more teams have had success WITHOUT a franchise QB than with. You win playoff games with a great running game and defense. You don't with just a franchise QB. Go ask Dan Marino, John Elway and Fran Tarkenton. They'll tell ya.

broncosfreak30... We have played the worst two pass/run defense teams in the league. Im not taking anythng away from the win, Our D has really stepped up, but Orton is not going to be the answer when were going to have to have a qb shoot out on our brutal 8 game stretch. He cant throw with out a finger injury much less with one. I just dont think he is the answer still... Go Broncs

Wow. That was a great perfomance by our D and hats off to DOOM for a terrific game. Orton has done more than I ever expected, no INT's. How many other teams can say that about their starting QB? Looks like we will be a force in the AFC this year.
