6:11 p.m. EST: Good evening from the Cleveland Browns Stadium press box on the shores of Lake Erie as the Broncos prepare to take on the Cleveland Browns.
So far this season you have mostly heard from Gray Caldwell and Adam Zinser in our Live Game Blog, but tonight I am taking over the reigns. Hopefully I can live up to their high standards.
The web team and I have had an enjoyable trip so far in Cleveland. Last night we were able to check out the Cavs – Bulls game. Not sure if you have heard of this player that the Cavs have named LeBron James. I think he might have a good future in the NBA. We were all “WITNESS” to him dropping 41 points.
As most of your know, tonight’s game is being broadcast on the NFL Network. They have their studio set-up right near the Broncos bench and cameras all over the field. Mostly covering every move that Jay Cutler and Brady Quinn make.
Speaking of Quinn, to say that Cleveland is excited about his first start, would be a severe understatement. My guess is Cleveland Browns Stadium will have several #10 jerseys.
7:04 p.m. EST: Here are a few shots from pregame-

7:07 p.m. EST: Inactives are not far away and it looks like both Tony Scheffler and Selvin Young will be in action tonight.
7:24 p.m. EST: I have just been handed the inactives from one of the best PR men in the league, Patrick Smyth:
For the Broncos-
Chad Jackson, Glenn Martinez, Marlon McCree, Champ Bailey, P.J. Pope, D.J. Williams, Josh Shaw and Tim Crowder are inactive.
Also, Wesley Woodyard will start for Williams, Karl Paymah will start for Bailey and Calvin Lowry starts for McCree.
For the Browns-
Travis Daniels, former Bronco Hamza Abdullah, Lawrence Vickers, Beau Bell, Eric Steinbach, Steve Sanders, Martin Rucker and Ken Dorsey is the third quarterback.
As mentioned Quinn will start at QB for Derek Anderson, Seth McKinney will start at LG for Steinbach and Charles Ali will start at FB for Lawrence Vickers.
7:29 p.m. EST: He is 72 years old and hasn’t played in over 40 years, but Jim Brown still has an amazing presence about him.

7:43 p.m. EST: As the Broncos left the field, Brandon Marshall stopped by to visit with Commissioner Roger Goodell.
8:05 p.m. EST: The Broncos have taken the field to a chorus of boos, except for a small section of Broncos fans near their tunnel. The Browns are about ready to be announced … and no surprise, the loudest cheer came for Quinn.
8:12 p.m. EST: Browns kicker Phil Dawson’s wife — Shannon — sang the National Anthem.
8:05 p.m. EST: Coin toss time… The Broncos call “tails” and win the toss and will receive.

Will Young and Tony S play tonight?
I have seen them both in uniform, so looks like they are both active.
Thank you so very much for the info, greatly appreciated!
Come on Broncos….lets get this season turned back around tonight!!!!!! I hope Torain goes off tonight!!!!!!!
Kyle,
good job so far
I was just watching the pregame show, and the receivers were all in a huddle doing like pregame stuff, and there was one guy, white guy, who wasnt in uniform
was that stokely?
also where are the inactive??
thanks a lot man good luck in the blogging tonight and most important of all GO BRONCOS
Broncos declared WR Chad Jackson, WR Glenn Martinez, LB D.J. Williams, S Marlon McCree, DE Tim Crowder, DT Josh Shaw, and CB Champ Bailey inactive for Thursday night’s battle in Cleveland. They don’t have a third QB.
according to rotoworld
WR Chad Jackson WR Glenn Martinez S Marlon McCree CB Champ Bailey LB D.J. Williams DT Josh Shaw DE Tim Crowder
inactives tonight..
LOL, that was Martinez
Biggymac609-
Thanks for the kind words… my guess is they were showing Glenn Martinez.
ooooo kk your right
i really hope stokely can bounce back
is shaun rogers playing? he didnt pratice tuesday wednesday
Biggymac you made me spew my cold one on the floor with that…..
Oh boy, am I excited!!! I just have a really good feeling about this game tonight… I hope this game goes our way from start to finish.
REALLY glad to hear Scheffler will be in action and the same goes for Young. Again, the more weapons Cutler has the better off we’ll be. Just one (obvious) request, guys: NO TURNOVERS!!! please.
Defense needs to come out strong and play strong. I believe in all of our Orange & Blue in action tonight. Tonight is our night guys – make it happen.
Crush ‘em and bring home a WIN!!!!!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!
hrdnokd
what do you mean?
Rogers was not listed as inactive, so looks like he is a go
Brady Quinn will should get blitzed on every other play, under a lot of pressure he will suffer, and Dre Bly can cover well so Champ shouldn’t stop the broncos from winning. If the broncos dont win I dont think playoffs is likely prediction.
This was funny… On the pregame show they showed footage of ‘The Drive’ with a very young Elway and it was really awesome to see. And the funniest part, I think, is when they mentioned Adam Schefter was was at some restaurant (I think) and was asked by a Browns fan to not show any footage of The Drive but they did anyway!!!! HA HA, I’m glad they did – those were the good ‘ol days!!!!
And I’m really starting to scare myself with these short comments. I don’t think I like it very much. Oh well, on to better and brighter things… WINNING this game!!!!!!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!
Is Young starting or Torain? And what can we really expect of either of them for us to win??
Roller- In all honesty I am not sure. My guess — and keep in mind it is my guess — is that Torain will get the nod with this being Young’s first game back from his groin injury.
please just block Shaun Rogers thats all I ask, thats it thats all you gotta do.
is nfl.com showing the game tonite? and is anyone getting it to work?
