Hello from Paul Brown Stadium on the banks of the Ohio River, near the beautiful state of Kentucky (sorry had to give some props to my home for many years). We will keep you updated throughout the day on the latest as the Broncos kick off the 2009 campaign for real. You can also follow us on Twitter and Facebook throughout the game.
It was interesting walking into the stadium this morning as we saw several familiar faces from this season’s “Hard Knocks” on HBO. Seems as though Chad Ochocinco’s catch-phrases are a hit amongst t-shirt makers. Dozens of “Kiss the Baby” and “Child Please” shirts were seen across the city as the buses pulled in.
10:49 a.m. EDT: Kyle Orton is warming up with Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Stokley while several defensive lineman are getting loose.
11:28 a.m. EDT: Field has pretty much cleared before the full pregame warmups get underway.
11:32 a.m. EDT: Here are the inactives for the Broncos; Josh Barrett, Chris Kuper, Chris Baker, Brandon Gorin, Brandon Lloyd, Jarvis Moss, Le Kevin Smith and Tom Brandstater is the third quarterback. Bengals inactives coming soon.
11:43 a.m. EDT: Head Coach Josh McDaniels stressed the importance of hydration all week and looks like that was a good thing. Chris Hall just texted from the field and said it was getting hot.
11:48 a.m. EDT: Here are the Bengals inactives, CB David Jones, HB DeDe Dorsey, s Tom Nelson, OT Scott Kooistra, TE Chase Coffman, WR Jerome Simpson, DE Frostee Rucker and Jordan Palmer is the third quarterback. Also, the Bengals have announced that Rey Maualuga will start at linebacker in place of Rashad Jeanty.
11:55 a.m. EDT: The specialist have taken the field and looks like the Broncos will be in their home blue jerseys. The home team gets the chance to pick which jersey they are going to wear and the Bengals are going to go in their away whites to try and fend off the heat.
12:09 p.m. EDT: The bright noon sun is giving the returners some problems as they try and catch punts and kickoffs.
12:20 p.m. EDT: The entire team has taken the field, but before they did Brian Dakwins gathered everyone up for a pregame talk. I think calling it passionate would be an understatement.
Just got some pregame photos from Chris Gentilviso-

12:40 p.m. EDT: The field has cleared except for some pregame entertainment and the Bengals mascot dancing to Stevie Wonder.
12:52 p.m. EDT: The Broncos are taking the field and announcing the defense as a unit. The Bengals are announcing their offense, I have a feeling Ochocinco might get the loudest cheer — well maybe Carson Palmer.
12:53 p.m. EDT: Click here, to check out the remaining pregame photos.
12:56 p.m. EDT: I am going to have to give the loudest ovation to Palmer, Ochocinco danced a little, but the crowd roared for their signal caller.
1:00 p.m. EDT: Captains are heading to midfield for the coin toss. The Broncos picked heads, but it comes up tails. The Bengals have deferred to the second half so the Broncos will receive. See you in the first half blog.

All right Bronco Buddies. The day has finally arrived. I hope we prove all the critics wrong. I’m starting to feel like a gaiders fan with all the hate my team is getting from the analysts. Lets shut them up and show them that all of our success does not rely on Cay Jutler.
GO BRONCOS, VICTORY BABY!!!!!
I think LT will have a good year, not like he had a couple years ago, but another 1200 yard season
Just turned on the TV and… this is too awesome… I get to watch the game on Sunday ticket… FOR FREE!! hahahahaha Hallelujah!!!
Did shannon sharp say we would win or lose?
LT has something to prove…. he kind of lost that mantra in years past, but i think your right boedavi- 1200+ and 10+ TD’s
5 min!!!! TIL KICKOFF
Im excited, and yet nervous on how well we will do. I guess the only thing to do is just wait and see.
AHHHHHHHHH IM so excited =-(!!!!!!!!!!!! Moreno better play lol and marshall better do well.
I was wondering the same thing about Lloyd and Moss. What happened? I didn’t know they were hurt.

LET’SSSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

A guy with #76 on his back shouldn’t take kickoffs.

Great runs but why are we wearing home jersys!

Home team gets pick on jerseys. Bengals want light colors in the heat.
