The sun is shining, the clouds are few and it’s a beautiful day for football today at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The Broncos and Bengals kick off at 2:15 p.m. MDT. This will be the first afternoon start for the Broncos as all four preseason games and the lone regular season game kicked off at night.
Players from both teams have begun to come out onto the field for early warmups with kickoff two hours away. The Broncos will be in their blue jerseys with white pants.
12:19 p.m. MDT: The wide receivers have come out of the locker room. Brandon Lloyd is warming up, running routes and catching passes.
12:29 p.m. MDT: Kyle Orton, Eddie Royal and Quarterbacks Coach Adam Gase are walking towards the end zone in conversation. Orton then huddles with Eric Decker and Matt Willis.
12:31 p.m. MDT: Tebow just ran a few end-zone routes for Orton, who threw 15-yard passes to the backup QB.
12:40 p.m. MDT: The scoreboard is a split screen, with one side showing the NFL RedZone channel and the other showing advertisements.
12:46 p.m. MDT: The Bengals specialists are out. Looks like Cincinnati will be in their away whites.
12:49 p.m. MDT: The Broncos have released their inactive players. They are: running back Knowshon Moreno, wide receivers Brandon Lloyd and Demaryius Thomas, cornerback Champ Bailey, defensive end Elvis Dumervil, linebacker D.J. Williams and defensive tackle Marcus Thomas.
12:59 p.m. MDT: Most of the players have gone into the locker room to get ready for team warmups. Punter Britton Colquitt, dressed in full uniform, is the lone Bronco player on the field. As I typed that, kicker Matt Prater and long snapper Lonie Paxton came out of the tunnel to join their teammate.
1:07 p.m. MDT: Prater just drilled a 53-yard field goal with at least 10 yards to spare.
1:10 p.m. MDT: The Bengals have released their inactive players. They are: safeties Taylor Mays and Robert Sands, linebacker Dontay Moch, guard Otis Hudson, tight end Donald Lee, wide receiver Ryan Whalen and defensive end Robert Geathers.
1:19 p.m. MDT: More players have come out of the locker room as the field starts to populate. Jeremiah Johnson, Cassius Vaughn, Lance Ball and Matt Willis are receiving kicks. There has yet to be a kick return in Denver this season. Will the first be today?
1:27 p.m. MDT: The defensive backs have come out onto the field and doing twisting and turning coverage drills. The tight ends are also out there. On the other side, the entire Bengals team is out of the locker room and they are going through their team stretching routine on the south side of the field.
1:33 p.m. MDT: The Bengals huddle on the 5-yard line before dispersing to their respective individual drills.
1:34 p.m. MDT: The rest of the Broncos have come out onto the field and Brian Dawkins brings them together in the north end zone for a pregame huddle. The players break and now the team is in their stretching lines.
Below are some photos from the early warmup session.

1:43 p.m. MDT: Referee Ed Hochuli just walked over to Broncos Owner and CEO Pat Bowlen and the two appeared to enjoy a friendly conversation which ended with them shaking hands.
1:50 p.m. MDT: Both teams have headed into the locker room and Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and band have come onto the field.
1:55 p.m. MDT: The Denver Broncos Junior Cheerleaders have come onto the field to join the senior squad, and they do a dance spelling out #84 on the field to honor Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, who will get his Hall of Fame ring during a halftime ceremony today.
1:58 p.m. MDT: The cheerleaders have stepped off the field and we’re 15 minutes away from kickoff. See you in the 1st half live blog.

Denver forecast:
sunny, upper 70′s high of 77, 10-15 mph winds.
if he drops the ball again, no rain to blame.
weather forecast brought to you by 850 koa
Blue tops. Nice we are 0-0 in those.
Play TEBOW no Orton!!!
Go Broncos!!!
those guys are up 21 to 3. 12 rushes for 51 yds… maybe it was a good thing to keep Campbell from passing? wow, just typing that made me vomit in my mouth. 21 in a half. what is going on in Buffalo?
McFadden obviously, Bush is steppin up as the second back. If we only had a feature back…
850 koa,,,,
- The first offensive drive killed the team’s confidence.
Just three. sounds like the paid professionals are saying some of the very same things us unpaid, non skilled individuals.
Have faith, stevecan. Maybe, just maybe, JJ will emerge as a great feature back now that he’s off the PS.
Dang… There’s that orange koolaid talking again…
I do think that he’ll do well, though. It just depends on what the Oline can give him…
I hope so. Like the way JJ runs. McGahee too. Have nothing against him, he was not brought here to be the “feature” or every down back.
oh geez Brain Griese is pretty much making man love with Lance Ball. tsk tsk. Not even a contributor in my eyes. Although, that extra effort that Monday Night was awesome.
Not thrilled about that inactive list… Not surprised, but not thrilled.
no Lloyd for Orton damn I am not thrilled either.
I hate to say it, but maybe without Lloyd on the field, Orton won’t lock onto him and miss other reads. At least he’s got Tebow catching passes….lol
why was Von Miller out of breath during the interview on KOA?
KO in 2 minutes
over / under on how many times he reminds us that he hates us is 3?
I bet under anyone else?
I forgot, pre game interview, different ball game there. No reporter should put secondary issues into the players heads.
Paraphrased.
As an offense we set the temp of the game. We have to go out there start fast and put 10 on the board, 2 tds
Okay, you get it not rocket science. Do it on the filed in the game KO.
the 10 points, 2 tds was a single thought as in 10-14 points.
well, laptop batt is about to die. signing off
and yes, I said KO because he represents the Offense.
The Raiders have blown a 21-3 lead against Buffalo, its 24-21 now hahahah
MAN the chiefs suck lol…
Cam Newton is killing it too … thats a laugh at those stupid analysts. Against GB … i aint see the game but i see the stats.
