Actually the steelers may make the playoffs...I can't think of 6 teams without them. I still think they won't be as good aqs people expect them to be. Teams like KC, Cincy, Tenn would have to be in for Pitt to be out. Not sure that can happen. KC looks like the strongest of thos to me.

Cut deadline is 4 pm eastern today from 90 to 75. I'd like to see us get Barret back too. We need depth at safety for sure. I'm really liking the way our D-linemen are playing. It's been a long time we had a dominant front 4. When our offense completely hit it's stride we will be unstopable. Just like back in the late '90s. I still think we could struggle a bit early in the year. Like maybe 3-3 after wk 6 and 5-4 by the break. I still see 10 wins though...possibly 11.

Here are somef predictions that go against the grain so to speak.

1. The Chargers will end the season in the cellar in the AFC west. That's right...last.
2. The Patriots have peaked and are on the decline...They will be a good team but not make to the AFC championship game.
3. The Steelers are also a team that has peaked and is on the decline. Todd Haley is a jackwagon and will not improve thier offense. Thier defense is aging a bit and will not be as dominant. The Ravens win that division and Pitt does not even make the playoffs.

Josh Barrett was great in special teams for us. Him and Bruton would welcome him back.

Glad Peyton finally showed me something that makes me feel getting rid of our other QB was worth it. Don't get me wrong, Peyton is GOAT in my book but whether he could bring it was a concern to me at a level that to ME made sense to get read of our former incumbent. Those INTs he was chucking was not giving me the warm and fuzzy feelings (Just my opinion, not really open to debate)

Receivers, Decker looking more sure handed but overall, like last no matter who the QB is, doesn't matter if receivers drop the pass. Ive liked Willis as well. Bay would be proud of him. He was always very high on him.

No one is really revealing anything in preseason, so i try not to pay too much attention. We are currently a new look team. No real tape on us. Last years tape might as well be japanese compared to this year. I just pray as defenses adjust, we do too and Manning gets more comfortable.

Can't wait for the season. looking forward to it. Primetime and against a well known defense. Should be great.

Later days, TRB

Morning all! Depth has been a concern for me since day 1! Man there was no heart in the second half. Nate Irving can't tackle in the open field to save his life. The 2nd straight week he got juked by a QB and the got up slow as if he was hurt. The only thing hurt was his pride.

I also hope Decker an McGhaee will get back to Mile High Saluting after a score like they did last year. That's one tradition I'd like to see come back and stick!

Anyone know what time the first round of cuts due? Btw, after watching the second half of the last two games, I doubt I'll get my heart broken with any of these cuts.....
