Second round, Pick 4 (36)

Third round, Pick 24 (87)
Fourth round, Pick 6 (101)
Fourth round, Pick 13 (108)

We better trade back into the first round!! We have three 4th round picks. Need to trade two 4ths to get into the 2nd or something!

    That way we could do..

    Pick 1- Worthy/Hill/Jeffery/Curry
    Pick 2- Wolfe/Reyes/Lavonte David
    Pick 3- Upshaw/Konz/Jenkins/Still

Sounds great to me but we HAVE to get back into the 2nd round!!!

  2. strandoftds says:

Doing well Royal. Last night was rough though. LOL

  3. strandoftds says:

I`d like Josh Robinson with 1 of our 2nd rounders.

  4. broncosfreak30 says:

We need to get Upshaw then trade up and get Curry!!! That would be LEGEND!!!!!

  5. strandoftds says:

As you know, I wanting Martin so bad, and he was there too, dad burn it!!

  6. VonDoomBroncos says:

Lol Broncosfreak the 1st round is over, no way to go back into it..

still I somewhat expect a trade down again, just think we can get more value to trade up later..

  7. royalbroncofan1 says:

I hear strand and TRB! Thought Martin was coming off the board to us at #31.

  8. strandoftds says:

Gotta stick with the game plan. LOL

  9. OrangeTsunami says:

  10. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Technically speaking what the broncos did was great .. clearly they want a guy like worthy who many said we would take at 25. never thought he was 25 worthy but he could be 36 worthy (or still). Smart move by them moving down … I just really wanted Doug Martin. The greed in me wants Stephen Hill tho LOL

    TRB

  11. wanagi says:

wow…..can’t believe all the whiners……………..and someone said BS about Elway??? wtf?? lol………i live in seattle orginally from denver…….hey whiners be happy pete carrol is not in our front office……..at work last night alot of seachicken fans were actually cryin about their pick…………lol…………………Believe our FO did the best thing…………more leverage to get what we truelly need…………..andfor all the Martin fans……….i see him as this years knowshow…………he is only an awesome college back…but will be a bust in the big leagues………….Bronco Nation relax….the draft is far from over……………Go Orange Crush

  12. VonDoomBroncos says:

Uh wanagi I don’t think anybody in here was whining about what we did, just thought we could’ve gotten more value. Also I think Martin is arguably the next Clinton Portis from his early years..

  13. alaskanbronco06 says:

    Vinny Curry at 36!!!!!

Trade up a package deal (101 DJ and 4th next year to Dolphins 42) Get Reyes> Wolfe> Worthy

Not sold on this but trade next years 2nd and 188 this year to NE for 48 Take Lavonte David> Bobby Wagner (would prefer to give 108 120 and 188 for 46 of the Eagles)

    57 Wolfe> Ta’amu> Winn

Trade 108 and 120 (If the trade with NE happens, if its Eagles obviously this wont be) for early to mid 3rd to take Ron Brooks

Trade 87 down later 3rd high 4th and a late 5th early 6th Take Turbin with the later 3rd high 4th

    137 Foles

With the late 5th early 6th Miller

Come on FO get it DONE!!!!!

  14. royalbroncofan1 says:

Yeah it was a good move TRB… we’ll get our players.

  15. alaskanbronco06 says:

wanagi your going to get flak for Bronco nation…..come on your from Denver originally….. its BRONCOS COUNTRY!!!!!!!

  16. VonDoomBroncos says:

AB why so much hate for DJ? I think you’ve tried to trade him in every mock trade you’ve done…

  17. DBFanFromAzViaMd says:

    AND it’s Broncos COUNTRY!!!!NOT Nation

  18. strandoftds says:

TRB, as for me at DT, I like Thompson, Reyes, or Winn. IMO anyway. LOL

  19. caramelloo says:

Sup TRB and anyone else I know. I haven’t been posting because my 5 month old little Bronco keeps me on the go. Anyways for some reason I just don’t like Worthy or the guy from Penn St. I do like Reyes but would love for us to get Lamar Miller, RB, Miami (FL) or Peter Konz, OC, Wisconsin with that 36th pick.

  20. royalbroncofan1 says:

    caramelloo – how’s the family?

  21. caramelloo says:

I did hope before the draft that we would trade the #25 pick for more picks. I just wished we would’ve gotten at least one more pick out of the deal. Like a two for one, bc we only have one more than we started with. Yeah I’m a little greedy bc there is a lot of late round talent

  22. strandoftds says:

To bad Worthy didn`t get picked by any team yesterday, it was his birthday. That woud have been a great B-day present to get chosen by a team. He`ll get picked up today.

  23. alaskanbronco06 says:

A lot of the complaints im sure are because

    1. everyone was so anxious to see who Denver would get and they trade back so they had to wait longer then had to wait another day basically.

    2. They wanted Denver to take a certain player and they didnt. But if the FO really wanted them they wouldve got them. So obviously the FO didnt want them. Or they felt they could get them later.

    3. Denver didnt get enough in return. But there wasnt a market for the picks like I said last night. No market means not amazing trades. The market was thin throughout the 1st round. We took the best offer we could get. Part of me thinks the FO was reaching out to other teams for the trade which lead to not so good trades.

  24. caramelloo says:

Sup brother royal….. They are good and the lil Broncos is BUCKING!! 5 months old and already in 9months clothes. Can’t wait to watch the games with him this year. How have you been?

  25. 1nOnlyTRB says:

    Im hoping for

Devon Still or any DT at 36
Using our acquire picks to get another 2nd rounder to draft Lamar Miller
and using 57 to get Mychal Kendricks

Upside is Miller is a stellar RB … got the speed and vision and also a returner. He is no Doug Martin but he is pretty darn good

    TRB

  26. strandoftds says:

    Mello, hows it going?

  27. alaskanbronco06 says:

VDB I dont hate DJ. However multiple source say hes being shopped. He has good trade value despite still being technically suspended and he is up in age. He is appealing his suspension but we dont know how it will turn out. So move him and get a replacement LB.

Many dont see it, but trading DJ is a smart move especially in a package deal where we could get a 2nd or 3rd round pick to get a LB to replace him.

  28. royalbroncofan1 says:

Darn – they do grow quick don’t they? Enjoy him now that he’s young. I remember when you told us you were in the family way. How’s the Pacific Northwest treating you?

  29. 1nOnlyTRB says:

    Sup caramello!

Winagi, Doug Martin is no bust. The man climb up the draft through shear skill. He wasn’t one of those guys overly talked about. He is more Ray Rice than Knowshon and I personally believe he will be the best RB in this draft … YES EVEN BETTER THAN TRICH (But wouldn’t be shocked if TRich comes out on top) … Doug is not stellar in one area but he does EVERYTHING well. He is a true 3down RB. The only other one in the draft beside TRICH and with almost as much talent

    TRB

  30. Big D 44 says:

No QB today please!!!!!!! We need impact players not a bench warmer!!!

  31. royalbroncofan1 says:

Doing good overall mello… just getting older.. be 51 next month. Family’s doing good…thx.

  32. DenverCB says:

it really pisses me off to see that we traded twice and we traded with the patriots so they could get Hightower… this man is going to be a Manimal!!! and we just let them have him!!!

  33. VonDoomBroncos says:

Ok AB, I thought you were just trying to get rid of him for some sort of personal disdain but it makes more sense to me now. If we can package DJ with a 5th to get a second I would take it especially if it’s to get his Heir Apparent Lavonte David..

  34. royalbroncofan1 says:

Any thoughts on Chris Polk mello? You probably saw him play more than I did. I watched a couple of games.

  35. alaskanbronco06 says:

VDB The biggest thing is the question with his suspension and appeal. Followed by his age. Plus his contract is up in a year or two. Right now his value IMO is better than a year from now.

  36. VonDoomBroncos says:

Yeah I would understand other teams’ apprehension about trading for him, but the man is a tackling machine and fairly decent in coverage. The only problem I would have with trading him away for picks is if we don’t use those picks to select somebody to replace him and the LB corp in this years draft is light..

  37. alaskanbronco06 says:

VDB Thats why i include a LB somewhere in my current “ideas” on what Denver should do.

  38. alaskanbronco06 says:

Ive been hearing about Jenkins (AJ that is) being a reach for the Niners. However IMO it wasnt a big reach as he is 6 ft 190 and is the type of WR the Niners need. He IMO was the 6th best WR. Blackmon Floyd Wright Hill and Randel. So it isnt as big of a reach IMO as the talk ive been hearing suggests.

Peace out Broncos COUNTRY!!! Gotta go get paid and pay bills lol. So glad my dad gave me the draft off. He was to afraid id break one of the TVs at the bar LOL.

Peace out everyone. Ill be back in no time ;)

  39. VonDoomBroncos says:

    Cya AB

  40. caramelloo says:

Hey strand I’m good, how are you!

Yeah royal they do grow so fast! Man I’m missing New Orleans in a major way and can’t wait to go back home for a visit next month. The pacific is just too rainy and cold for my southern blood. What’s worse is these lame Seahawks fans trying to convert my son at a young age! The only thing that looks good on him is Denver Broncos Orange and Blue!

You’re not getting old royal…. You’re getting wiser! Wisdom is gained over time!!

I love Polk!! He would’ve fit our offense before Manning. and he really really fits our O with Manning.Power, speed, and great hands! I also like that DT from Washington as a sleeper. He was all the Huskies had on D and he’s a slept on beast!

  41. royalbroncofan1 says:

Thx mello – I only saw a couple of games but he was a workhorse..(Polk). Also has some great hands. Denver Post reported week before last Polk is on Broncos draft board… we’ll see.
Also read the Packers are looking to draft him..

  42. OKBronco22 says:

its hilarious to see some of you act like gm’s and say what they should trade for what and who they should draft

  43. wanagi says:

    @ AB
hahaha…….yes broncos country………….but i have always called it bronco nation……
    @VDB
honestly doug martin will be mediocre due to be ing injury riddled….and i agree Richardson is not going to pan out as a 3rd pick………more of a 6th rd……….

Polk would be a better fit to our system and is built perfectly to take the pounding backs take………..to me the truest nfl back in this draft……………he picks up the blitz well…..runs with authority…….and has hands like marshall faulk…………be a good sleeper pick for us………..

i always read thru all the comments and earlier i read some whiners…….ddnt mean it to any of u regulars……….i alwyas read the blogs and comments….but hardly comment because what i would say has already been said…..and i hate echos…….lol……peace brothers…

  44. caramelloo says:

Yeah I saw he was on the board as well! I also like the DB out of Montana. I think he’s a sleeper yet a star on the horizon. Saw a few of his games this past season. One good thing about living out here is sports watching. Games come on at a reasonable time except the Sunday afternoon games which are at 10am here, and the 11am college games which are on at 9am.

  45. VonDoomBroncos says:

Isn’t that exactly what happened with Clinton Portis? He was good the first 5-6 years and then just became injury prone and absolutely mediocre?

Nice to meet you OKBroncos22, I haven’t seen you much on the blogs but it sure is comforting that people trying to say what they want or would do if they were in the GM’s shoes makes you laugh.

  46. strandoftds says:

Mello, always good to see ya. Lets gett-her-done tonight huh?! LOL

  47. millertime2 says:

I havent heard anyone talk about Jared Crick DE Nebraska, I think hes a bronco after tonight.
