The numbers from NFLshop.com show how excited the members of Broncos Country are about the upcoming season.
No NFL team sold more merchandise than the Broncos from the official NFL retail site from April 1 to June 30. Rounding out the top five were the Saints, the Cowboys, the Steelers and the Giants.
Tim Tebow has yet to take a snap as a NFL quarterback, but he’s already beating out Donovan McNabb, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in one category.
Tebow’s No. 15 is the top selling NFL player jersey on the site during the same time span.

Does anyone like the new homepage? So far I prefer the old one.
talk about twilight zone
def came on denverbroncos.com earlier on today to read some blog comments and the homepage looked different. I was soo shocked lol. I thought I went to the wrogn site. and thats not a joke lol
New homepage looks nice but I prefer the old one cuz Im used to it and hate change, but I prefered the one before the old one as well to the old one so Im sure ill adapt (im not even sure if that made sense lol) TRB out..
I feel ya TRB… It looks cool, just gonna take time to get used to navigating through it.
Yeah I think the same thing, just going to have to get use to it.
Whoa!!! New front page of the site… freakin’ awesome!! I absolutely love the Rockies in the background, now I really miss home!
Will take some time to get used to it but I love it. Great job to those who helped put it together.
Watching an old NFL game (’94) on NFLN… Broncos & Chiefs @ the original Mile High stadium. Pretty fun to watch, a game when Montana was with KC so you have a Montana vs. Elway game going on. I’d take Elway any day, any time, anywhere. Thought I’d mention it… only football I got till August, I’ll take it!! lol
Keep the faith Bronco Country…
GO BRONCOS in 2010!!!!
I like the new Bronco home page but it seems a little harder to find the Blog…. ????
I Love Me Some Denver Broncos!!!!
OC, just highlight news & blogs left side in the orange sections up top, scroll down to Broncos blog, you’re in.
Main difference is so far they have all the blogs under the same section, Rice, Saccomano and Cooper no longer have their separate blogs, at least for now, they will probably make upgrades as it goes along I would imagine.
Yeah they have grouped the blogs and news together, I think they need to separate that.
Since they changed the website maybe that means they plan on changing the being at 500 for the last four years, I’m all for that kind of change!
Love the new design! The Rocky Mountains are always a site for sore eyes! Vacation cant come soon enough…
For the record, OC, I was NEVER that big of a Cutler fan.
Maybe, I had a chance to watch Orton play. Living in Big 10 country. And since I also live in a suburb of Chicago, well….
He did play after Drew Brees left..anyway.
There are a lot of QB’s that arent that mobile. Manning, Brady, Schaub and Palmer come to mind. But I think we have just been down right spoiled with extremely mobile QB’s at mile high. So maybe thats one of the biggest reasons Orton has been vilified. Compared to the great one, and a lesser extent, Plummer and the aforementioned Suckler…Orton is an anomaly.
Enough talking about it though. In a little more than 3 weeks, training camp gets underway. And we can all see how the big three, compete.
“Its time to put the women and children to bed, and go hunting for food”
GO BRONCOS 2K10!!!!!!!!!!
I just think Orton is now a full calendar year into this system and he will do a bit better than last year! Champ even said Kyle is his man for 2010! I like the other QBs but overall I think Orton gives us the best chance to win, and at the end of the day thats what I want!
GO BRONCOS!
I was in shock when I saw the website, heard the rumors of the merchandise selling, Watched us draft Tebow. Its all a bit much to swallow, but once you gain perspective on the entire situation, It’s putting the Broncos exactly in the direction that they need to be headed in…
Love the new look of the website.
Hate the new website, hate change, but I guess I can get used to it like I’m used to finishing .500..
LMAO @ Baylin’s 8:39 post.
33 days… First preseason game!!!
39 days till first home preseason game!!!
Can you feel it!!!
Can not wait!
THIS IS BRONCOS COUNTRY!!!
Here is something cool and different.
On nfl.com, someone is at least giving us a chance. Most writers on there have already written us off. But the fantasy guru M. Fabiano rates us in the second teir in the afc, which is a playoff contending team who he says has a chance to be dangerous. He even says that knowshon has a chance to set the league on fire!!!!!
Go Broncos!!! Kick it!!!
oh and the link….

training camp is on its way
Jazzyfrizz,
Its michael Lombardi , not Fabiano. Lombardi has always been behind us, and even went on the limb to say Tim Tewbow will lead us to the superbowl in 2014. hes always been behind us, as has mike martz.
I’m just glad someone is finally behind us. It’s about time someone shows us a little respect. I still would disagree that the Chargers will be Super Bowl contenders. With the possibilities of Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeil sitting out for most or all of the year, and with LT gone and a rookie taking over. They are maybe second tier, probably third tier to me.
oops,
good catch blaze,
lombardi, fabiano……. dang it, they dont even sound the same.
Go Broncos!!!!
Respect isn’t given for off season acquisitions or great season projections, respect is earned on the field and the only way you earn it is with your record. We are 32-32 in the last 4 years with 9-7 being our very best season in that time span, not much to respect there if you ask me, just run of the mill average team is all we are right now. I’ll do the gloating and hope for respect once we return to respectability, which cannot be done in the off season, just saying.
As with the situation in San Diego, I believe it will help close the gap between us and them but they are still the team to beat in our division, winning it for 4 years in a row earns you the title of champion and as challengers we are hopefully going to give it a hell of a fight to wrestle that title away from them, but for now we are who we are, so no respect we get and no respect we deserve, let’s work on changing that.
Wow – the new front page on the website looks great!! Initially thought I was not at the correct website….lol. Definitely get the feel you’re in Broncos Country when you see the awesome visuals! Great Job!!
Thanks for the link jazzyfrizzle. Yes, Moreno could light it up, but as Lombardi mentions, he may benefit from a more effective downfield passing game. Coach McD did previously mention the Team will work on this phase of the game. Lombardi hit the nail on the head with getting bigger, stronger, faster on both sides of the ball. Out of curiosity, has anyone heard or read anything lately on the progress of R. Clady?
FYI.. for any O-lineman fans, his jersey, (#78) is the only O-lineman jersey offered for sale at Broncos store at Invesco.
Changing subjects here, Kyle Orton does not have a cannon arm, but he can hit the intermediate routes with accuracy, provided he has solid protection. As other bloggers have mentioned, his mobility is his shortcoming but they worked hard last year at developing the short passing game, to help get rid of the ball…(outlets, dumpoffs, etc..) I look for Orton to be more acclimated this year in the system. Orton did throw a couple of deep balls to Marshall last year in the Redskin game. (then again, they may not have been too deep but they looked that way on TV..lol). #8 has a decent backup in Quinn, who will bring another dimension to the field with his scrambling ability, should his number be called. Quinn is a big upgrade from Simms no doubt. As everyone knows, Tim Tebow sure has brought quite a bit of national attention to Denver. The anticipation for Tebow to contribute will grow as he develops and each week passes.
Here’s a great ESPN article where Michael Lombardi calls the Broncos a “Red Chip – Play Off Contender”…
I like Lombardi a lot. He always give the Broncos a fair shake..
I LOVE ME SOME DENVER BRONCOS!!!!!!

rbf1, I can’t find anything recent about the status of Clady’s recovery, obviously it’s pretty hush-hush, but Robert Hoffman, a Dolphins columnist had this to say about it on July 2nd, when comparing the injuries that could affect NFL teams the worse this season:
Clady comes with a major asterisk. His left torn patellar tendon suffered on April 28 may not require him to miss the season. Clady estimates that he will be recovered in three months, which could theoretically have him in playing shape by the regular season. I’m not buying it. United States soccer player Oguchi Onyewu tore his patellar tendon in mid October of 2009 and did not return to action until mid April of this year (six months later). At 6-4, 210 pounds, Onyewu is a big soccer player, but the pressure and wear and tear he puts on his patellar tendon can’t be anywhere close to that of the 6-6, 325 pound Clady. Beyond a simple comparison, one key to Clady’s game is his lateral quickness to get to edge pass rushers. This might be one of the last traits to come back during his recovery from this type of injury.
If he is gone for the year, Clady ranks as the most devastating loss because he is arguably the best left tackle in the NFL today. Denver quarterback Kyle Orton already has lost a 100 catch per season wide receiver in Brandon Marshall (who was dealt to Miami). Forget about finding a receiver, Orton likely won’t remain upright without Clady.
Hopefully this guy is wrong. Even so Clady has only a partial patella tendon tear (50%), it is a real serious concern because when you get such tear it is really easy to re-aggravate it. Like I always say this year will ride on the performance of our O line, not a single doubt about that in my mind.
Since many are referring to Lombardi having our backs, might as well print out what he says here:
Denver Broncos: After a fast start, the Broncos failed to do much in the second half, in part due to their inability to stop the run. In the last three games of the season, they allowed 663 yards on the ground. Over the final eight games, the Broncos gave up 200 points. Bigger, stronger, faster and tougher is now the motto in Denver, on both sides of the ball. Along with being more physical, the Broncos must make deep plays in their passing game to vertically threaten the field. That will open things up for RB Knowshon Moreno, who, if healthy, might set the league on fire. The Broncos remind me of Butler University in the NCAA tournament, a dangerous team that understands the real meaning of “team” gaining confidence with every win.
Brings up a few points, if Moreno needs the deep game to vertically threaten the field to set the league on fire, we better hope Clady is healthy, same with Harris, because with Orton on the ground we obviously would stand no shot at the long game. I knew about the 663 yards on the ground in the last three games, but the 200 points scored against us in the last 8 games is a new one for me, I could of done without it, LOL. As for the gaining confidence with each win, Lombardi must be projecting to this next season, since winning the first six games last year turned out to give us no confidence at all. I’ll agree with the getting bigger, stronger, faster and tougher being the new motto in Denver, but isn’t that the same motto for every NFL team every year?
You won’t be able to find any news about Clady until the season is about to start and the teams have to turn in their injury reports. McD even said so in an interview not long after the injury, I recall.
Thanks baylinor for the post on this columnist. This article by Hoffman is feeding into my growing concern, Clady may not be available for the first half or possibly the entire season. Obviously we’ll need someone else to step up.
We p/u Kirk Barton off waivers, who has not caught on with anyone, as he’s bounced around a few Teams, in two seasons. Barton played OT at Ohio State.
Injuries and performance did take a toll 2nd half of last season for the O-line. Hamilton and Weigmann were not able to sustain consistency and losing Harris was tough. B. Hamilton was replaced by R. Hochstein. Hochstein went out with his severe injury as well. OT Polumbus struggled, but did progress in the last few games. I believe Seth Olsen saw some limited action last season. We also have D’Anthony Batiste, 6’4″ 314 lbs listed at OG, and if versatile enough could contribute at OT. Another player on the current roster, is undrafted OT Paul Duncan, 6’7″ 315 lbs from Notre Dame. Duncan missed his entire Senior season due to hip surgery. As previously mentioned at DP, it looks like we may start two of three O-line rookies drafted this year, Beadles and Walton. Hochstein may not be at 100% just yet. 2nd year Center from Clemson, Dustin Fry (6’3″ 326 lbs), could make a push as backup. RT Ryan Harris should be ready to go, although coming back from aggravating injury. RG Chris Kuper is solid.
The one good thing about the O- line, is that we have more depth. Can’t wait to see the depth chart.
New O-line Coach Clarence Barone should have his lineman ready to go.
Getting bigger, stronger, faster should be every NFL Teams motto.
I think we fell somewhat behind with the old system and Coach Shanny.
As far as bigger, stronger…. just my take.
Good break down of our O line rbf1, you left out Eric Olsen, our 6th round draft pick this year, another body who could contribute at guard if need be.
And you are right Shanny used to sacrifice size for speed, but the game has completely overgrown that stage, if you don’t have size AND speed these days no way you can compete, additionally Shanny made it work with the undersized O line because of his scheme, with the power scheme in place you can forget the smaller faster bodies.
I `m sure Clady will be ready by week one. That`s there prodiction anyway. If not there probably gonna go after Flozell I bet. Just a guess of course. If they do go and sign him it sure won`t be what he is asking for. Adam`s want`s 4 mill a year. I don`t think so. I say sign him for one year, one million. That`s if Clady can`t play this year, if Clady can then there`s no need to sign anyone.
BTW, I am totally psyched that we are getting bigger. Let’s get it done in the trenches!
Thanks baylinor – you’re right about Eric Olsen from Notre Dame. Another player who can contribute Guard position, and if need be, emergency Center. As you’ve mentioned on previous posts, “the trenches” is where the game is won or lost.
strandoftds – For our sake, I hope we don’t go after Flozell. He contributed to so many offside penalties for the Cowboys last year, especially on crucial 3rd down conversions. That’s a player who should’ve known the QB cadence and audibles as a seasoned veteran.
I know he did visit with the Broncos sometime in the Spring.
It would be great as far as the prediction for Clady’s return.
Just hope they’re cautious with his PCL injury.
RoyalBroncoFan1, your right about that. He`s on the down side of his career. Old and rusty. I hope Clady is back by week one. If not I wonder if they`ll go after Adam`s. Another issue with Flozell is that he`s been flagged for personal fouls too lately. Just saying. I`m gonna go out on a limb and say that I think Clady will be there come game time against Jax.
That’s right strandoftds, I remember reading or seeing something on that last year…(personal fouls w/ Flozell). I know when the Cowboys came into town to play the Broncos last season, he was flagged for false start…once or twice.
I sure hope Clady will be there on Sept 12th vs. Jax.
I’ll go out on a limb and say OT Paul Duncan makes the Team as a CFA. Seems like he would be a good fit and coming out of Notre Dame, has some familiarity with the system. (practice squad possibly).
One things for sure, I`m looking forward to camp. I wish it was here already. GO BRONCO`S!!!
broncofanlvnm: thanks for the input on R. Clady and the publication of the injury report prior to start of season.
How’s the fan base these days in NM?
Still a split between Broncos and Cowboy fans ?
Sign DOOM!
And T.O.! *Cough cough cough*
Has anyone seen the NCAA Football 11 TV spot with Tebow and Elway in it?
rbf1,
Yeah, in NM still a split between Broncos and Cowboys for the most part. I hate Cowboy fans. They are the 2nd most obnoxious next to the Raider fans in these parts!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
I love that the videos now open to full size. I hated watch the little video before.
I love that the videos now open to full size. I hated watching the little video before.
I like the new page. I think it looks really good.
Nice page and I believe that this is gonna be a rebirth for the broncos in 2010, there are many talented players this year, and the defense looks stronger, I hope the coach let ayers play a bit more than he did last season.
Knowshon will be great, over 1500 yards.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
