In advance of the Broncos’ postseason opener, the team will host a United In Orange Pep Rally next Friday, Jan. 11th at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The rally will take place at the Sports Legends Mall on the south side of the stadium on the night prior to Denver’s Divisional Round game, which is set for Saturday, Jan. 12th at 2:30 p.m. It will run from 5-8 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, and will feature all of the 2012 Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, select Alumni and the Broncos’ mascots, Miles and Thunder. There will also be an appearance by the band Funkiphino to help get fans ready for the game.
Food and drinks will be available and attendees will have a chance to win prizes, playoff tickets and other Broncos memorabilia.
King Soopers is the presenting sponsor of the rally, so the first 5,280 fans will receive a mystery value gift card to any King Soopers ranging in value from $1 to $100.
Broncos partners 850KOA and KUSA-9News will broadcast live from the event.

Very cool. Wish I could go. All I want for my birthday is two wins to the Superbowl (And of course a Superbowl win)

Wolfe led all NFL rookie defensive linemen in playtime percentage, appearing in 84.4% of Broncos’ defensive snaps.

Broncos DE Derek Wolfe is the 13th def. lineman in NFL history to start every game and have at least 6 sacks as a rookie. …
Wolfe has been a hell of a player. He often two gaps or double teams to eat up blockers and allow Doom and Miller to go to work. Also, his versatility to play DE or slide in and play DT is unreal.
I cant remember who it was who called Wolfe but I bow to them. He has been on helluva player.
DB – The draft is not just a bonus, it’s absolutely critical, and its never been more important now that there is a rookie wage scale in place.
The salary cap is a juggling act, as each year you have existing players contracts expiring, and assuming they performed well, they will demand more money. In order to keep the players you already have under contract, resign the players you want to keep, and possibly sign a few new free agents, concessions must be made.
The better an organization is at identifying talent in the draft, year after year, the more successful they will be. Not only do they set themselves up for the future with young talent, potentially realizing a player in his prime, and solidify their overall depth, but they also can find cheaper labor when compared to free agency, allowing resources to be allocated elsewhere.
I am proud to be and have been a fan of the classy Bronco organization since 1963, thanks Mr. Bowlen! Thanks also to coach Fox and the staff who continue to do a superb job! Showing off my orange down here in the SW–Let’s go BRONCOS!!!
A list of 10 FAs Denver should target (Was taken off of B/R)
Branden Moore OG Jets
Randy Starks DT Dolphins
Danny Amendola WR Rams
Reggie Bush RB Dolphins
Cliff Avril DE Lions
William Moore S Falcons
Keenan Lewis CB Steelers
Matt Moore QB Dolphins
Steven Jackson RB Rams
Darnell Ellerbe ILB Ravens.
Only 3 or 4 of those guys I actually wouldnt mind us targeting.
Reid to KC deal is reportedly done. Also was reported it has been done for some time and that holdup was attorney’s looking over the deal for both sides.
If Stokes retires then Amendola would be awesome.
RH I would love Amendola even if Stokes doesnt retire. And of course no matter what I still want to see Ryan Swope drafted by Denver.
Aren’t Clady & Bruton FA’s this year too?
Yea they are sndvl.
Clady will be signed for sure or franchise tagged. Bruton may not be the safety everyone hoped he could be but the man is an absolute stud on ST. I think Denver can resign him at a good rate and he is totally worth it.
I think Brian Hartline is a FA too. I’d really like to see him in Orange & Blue. I fear NE might make a push for him though. With Wes hitting the market, I don’t see him being resigned
I agree sndvl. I wouldnt mind Hartline or Amendola. But I think NE will push for both of them.
+1
I also think come next year we won’t need to sign any O-lineman. With Blake & JD returning from injury, along with a hopefully 100% healthy Kuper… Any pick on Oline before the 5th round won’t be necessary.
sndvl I think many forget about Blake. I think we need another OL but not in the first round. If we go that way I do hope it is Barrett Jones.
Disagree only slightly sndvl. Hopefully Blake is healthy and can be a solid backup but he is a center. If Blake is good depth then having JD, Koppen and Blake makes Denver deep there. ManRam is getting a lot of playtime at guard and has improved some over the season, lets assume he sticks around. I see guard as being in fairly good shape depth wise. However, depth is seriously lacking at offensive tackle. Clark was not good in the series I have seen him in.
We also have Jason Hunter coming back as well. So there is depth on the DL.
I though Blake was a Guard/Center?
sndvl not at DT only on the edge. Granted Wolfe can play and has played DT but he is the only DT we have on payroll next year. Warren Vickerson Bannan Unrein are all FAs. Unrein being a EFA means he can only sign with Denver or retire. I think he will be back. Vickerson will also probably be back. But that is only 3 on the payroll (Two of them being if we bring them back of course) DE we will have depth next year. But not at DT.
Blake is an interior linemen. Can play G or C. Before he got hurt he practiced at both. And played at both during college.
His ability to play both is a big reason why a lot of people liked bringing him in.

Has some good points about why AD shouldnt be MVP.
Also we have Malik Jackson and Robert Ayers who can play DT but neither has the prototypical size of one. And I forgot Silliga.
Looks like we have to deal with Andy Reid in AFC west … they have a decent ammount of talent, he could easily turn around that franchise. All they really need is a QB
Amendola aint going no where but back to STL …. those guys have been struggling to have a guy for Bradford and when u pass to Amendola a target total of like 15 times a game or so … yea … he is staying …. NE better sign wes welker back … who else they got? If stokely goes, I’d take wes welker. Kid aint lost a step. No spring chicken but younger than stoke i think. Plus im sure he would like another chance at a ring which maybe possible with us.
TRB
May as well take Warren off that list. Lol
Well Im sure Vick & Unrein will most likely be back. I’d still like to see Ayers bulk up & move inside.
sndvl I was big on doing that this past year and still am. Last year he was more efficient of a player inside than out.
Amendola may go back to STL but if Denver or NE comes knocking it will be hard for him to ignore. The chance to go to a contending team with QBs who can make you better is hard to ignore.
What’s up TRB!
Anyone here watch the CU Buffs basketball game last night? They got robbed from beating undefeated Arizona on a buzzer beater three. With 0.1 left on the clock the ball was out of the guys hands and refs waived it off.
new blog.
Vick is getting old but hot damn he has been good this year. Bannan too. Unrien will be back without a doubt but getting a DT or two in the draft is looking like a good idea with a deep class at that position.
It’s nice going into the draft with very little need. Being able to draft for depth and pick the best player available is so awesome.
I’m flying in from OH again this year for good luck and a party!!! LET’S GO ORANGE AND BLUE!!!
