With free agency opening at 2 p.m. MDT Tuesday, the Broncos placed tenders on five restricted free agents.
The club tendered their exclusive rights free agents: punter Britton Colquitt, running back Lance Ball and tackle Chris Clark. Exclusive rights free agents are players with more than two accrued NFL seasons but less than three.
Wide receiver Matthew Willis and defensive tackle Ryan McBean were also tendered, meaning the Broncos have the right to match another team’s offer or receive a draft pick corresponding to which round the player was selected as compensation.
McBean was a fourth-round pick by the Steelers in 2007. Willis was undrafted, meaning the Broncos would not receive compensation should they choose not to match another team’s salary offer to the wide receiver.

Yea they did trade up for Gabbert but Gabbert is afraid to get hit. I just dont see him having it mentally. Tebow is better than Gabbert. Theyll want to improve IMO and its no different than any other team trying to get a QB better than their starter.

I do. But its been said that Denver has put Manning on the back burner and is focusing elsewhere for now and giving Manning his space. Trying to show that they respect him making a decision and giving him space and not trying to overwhelm him

Why are the broncos not going after landry? I know he has had some injuries but if he gets over that going forward he can be great. He plays SS which is what Dawk did for us. I don’t understand going after merriweather either. He was dropped by the patriots and Bears.

with all that said…..i mean no disrespect to john elway,pat bowlen, or any of the broncos front office, im sure staying competative in the NFL is no easy task, the pressure im sure is immense. but what they need o understand is that its been a long time since broncos fans have had a lot to get exited about, and contrary to belief, its not tebows skills that make him such a polarizing person, (though he has skill in abundance). its his unwillingness to believe he cant acomplish something he puts in mind, the man does not understand the word CANT. its how he treats the people around him, its how he brings out the best in all of us. to see his affect on the players in the locker room.he gives hope were there is doubt. just when you think he has given his all, he gives more. for the first 2-3 years of elways remarkable career, lets be honest.he had his problems, but the broncos faithful grew with him every year. never gave up hope..we knew then about elway, what we feel now about tebow , he is something special. a player like tebow comes around only every once in a long while..we broncos fans have been waiting a long time for another reason to believe, another reason to get exited about another season with our boys..manning is not it.
Why waste money on Manning and take a chance on the pretty boy getting hurt on the first hit. He will cost more than we need to spend to be just as far behind when he leaves in 4 yrs. or one hit. Work on the defense were we need it.
Sign Manning and keep Tebow as a backup to learn from him. You cannot pass on the opportunity to get one of the best QB’s of all time. If he is healthy which I would think he would be. He doesn’t seem like the type that would go to a team to only take all of there money and not play. (AKA Jamarcus Russell) At the moment Tebow is not a good QB and 50% passing will not get it done. Let him learn from one of the best. It was evident last season he has the ability to lead the team but needs to work on everything else. He may work hard but does he study like manning? Does he study the details like manning? You can work hard but that doesn’t always mean your focusing on areas that you should be. Who knows but learning from a guy that is a field general and adding that to his ability to lead he could be great.
I think that the Broncos made a mistake by going for Payton Manning. Tebow is the qb of the future and has so much in possiblities to be great, and they are just pissing it away as one other poster mentioned. I hope they make restitution to TT for this. He is the best qb that they have had in a while….why get rid of him for someone who was great, but now is in the twilight of his career.

look i like manning but he isn’t the anwer and don’t know why john elway and john fox dont realize that and if they look at tebow and see all the positives he brings to the team and build the team around him then we will have a huge chance of having a great team. im 100 percent behind tebow but first and foremost 100 percent bronco fan always and forever. just don’t understand why they dont stick with tebow … i mean look what he has done and the changes and the excitement he brings that has been lacking a long time.
