Broncos Take Home GMC’s Never Say Never Moment of the Week

October 19th, 2012 - 4:12pm by Tyler Everett

The NFL announced on Friday that the Broncos are the winners of the Week 6 GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for their comeback from a 24-point halftime deficit to beat San Diego on Monday.

After the Chargers took a 24-0 lead at halftime, Denver turned in a furious second-half rally highlighted by three Peyton Manning touchdown passes and a pair of defensive touchdowns, a 65-yard fumble return by cornerback Tony Carter and a 46-yard interception return by cornerback Chris Harris.

The win put Denver atop the AFC West standings, as the Broncos and Chargers are both 3-3, with Denver currently holding the tiebreaker after Monday’s victory.

Isn’t that the award Tebow used to win us every other week? LMAO!

  2. DaddyBronc says:

No…I thought it was every week! Didn’t Tebow win the NSN six times last season? (Someone else look up the stat.)

  3. Orange_Crusher says:

    Huh…?

I though John Elway won that never say never award when he signed Manning and traded Tebow….lol

Can someone look that up for me……..lol

  4. MileHighStud says:

Broncos! Never had any doubt we were coming back!

  5. sndvl says:

A forgone conclusion for a team that through 5 of 6 games Never said Never. Even the home win against our arch nemesis. Considering we haven’t beat them in Denver for what seemed like half a decade.

And not to mention the take home last season. Including the yearly award.

May as well rename it ‘Denver say Never’…

    Wait! What?

  6. baylinorcrush says:

That would be every other week if my math is correct, haha.

  7. sndvl says:

If the award was given in the post season, it would have been 6 for 12 or 50%… Lol

And this year we are 2 for 6? Didn’t we win week 1…

  8. tlcat06 says:

Didn’t he win the Never Say Never Award at the end of the season?

  9. tlcat06 says:

Yes, we did win week one sndvl.

  10. tlcat06 says:

Yes, Tim and Demayrius won the Never Say Never Moment of the year for the playoff game.

  11. sndvl says:

Thanks Cat! And yes, the yearly award was given to the Broncos for their Never say Never moment against Chicago!!!

  12. tlcat06 says:

Oh was it for the one against Chicago… Couldn’t remember. Either way, I’m convinced they made that award so they could give it to Tebow!!! LOL shhhhhh….

  13. tlcat06 says:

Because it was the first time they ever gave a season ending award for the GMC Moment if the Year

  14. sndvl says:

The play you’re talking about won the ESPY for best moment!

  15. sndvl says:

Pretty much what it was like watching from the stands. Though I was higher up and saw the entire play develop!!!

I was angry at half time and LMAO when we had taken the lead. Even after we got the first TD, it felt like we had all the momentum and something special was about to happen, you can just sense it.

  17. tlcat06 says:

Oh ok! LOL I’m throroughly confused. Thanks, sndvl.

  18. tlcat06 says:

Sndvl, that’s amazing! It’s sooooo loud in there you can’t even hear the fireworks. Wow. My brother went to the Chicago game. He said it was NUTS!

  19. tlcat06 says:

Peyton Manning just completely etched his name into Broncos history (not that he hasn’t every week) and now he is completely 100% a Denver Bronco. No one can tell me otherwise.

  20. strandoftds82 says:

Well, Peyton is a Bronco! HaHa!!

  21. strandoftds82 says:

In the Denver Post this morning in the sports page, there was an article written that speaks of a 14 year old boy from Littleton Colorado with the name Peyton Manning. It was a cool read too.

  22. tlcat06 says:

Lol, well yes Strand. But as much as I told myself he looked like he had always worn that Bronco jersey I was lying to myself. And that Colt thing ran deep in me I guess. Deeper than I thought. I don’t feel guilty any more and I’m not sad he’s not a Colt anymore. Weird. I know.

  23. tlcat06 says:

Don’t ask a girl to explain her feelings!!! It’s too complicated! LOL

  24. strandoftds82 says:

    It’s not weird! It reality!

  25. tlcat06 says:

I guess that even though I seemed like I knew what this meant, I had no idea. And I just can’t get over it. I know I should be able to seeing as its been six weeks of the season, but I’m still having a hard time believing this is really happening.

  26. strandoftds82 says:

HaHa! I was married once. Many curve balls. LOL! God help me!!

  27. strandoftds82 says:

    BRONCO HEAVEN! LOL

  28. strandoftds82 says:

Man! We gotta wait another week? BLAH!

  29. sndvl says:

Confused has been the theme today… Darn bye week!

  30. strandoftds82 says:

Words of Vinny Barbarino, I’m so confused!!

  31. tlcat06 says:

I just feel like I’m constantly walking in a dream. I wake up and realize it’s real. @ our book fair at school they even have a Peyton Manning Bronco poster. Had to take the first one so that I made sure I got one! LOL I can’t get USED to it. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to.

  32. strandoftds82 says:

Cat, how will you be WHEN we win a SB?! HaHa!

  33. tlcat06 says:

With Elway we always just had greatness. It’s difficult adjusting when we haven’t had it since 2005.

  34. tlcat06 says:

Strand, I’ll be a mess! LOL I cried on Monday for crying out loud. After Harris’ pick 6.

  35. strandoftds82 says:

Tears of joy Ticat06! I’m telling ya, I was pissed at half time! Talk about two extremes in 2 halfs. WHEW!!

  36. baylinorcrush says:

Cat, we always knew where you came from, women might be complicated but they usually don’t hide their feelings very well. And thanks for agreeing with me on the last blog, it’s kind of cool after the preconceived ideas you had of me built on what you were fed by a few scorned and disenchanted bloggers here when you came on as a newbie. Life is not always as simple as taking people’s word for it, even family members sometimes, LOL.

  37. strandoftds82 says:

Our CB’s are clicking now. They must hang on to the ball when it comes there way, NO DROPS! It all starts with the pass rush though.

  38. baylinorcrush says:

Talking about family, my wife has an aunt of hers in her seventies visiting, so that probably explains my getting away from it and blogging more than I should, certainly wouldn’t want to get anybody mad over it, LOL.

  39. tlcat06 says:

Bay, don’t worry. I agree with you more than I disagree. And Monday I didn’t feel good and I was stressed from all kinds of stuff, not a good excuse, I know, but I wasn’t kind to you and I’m sorry about that.

  40. tlcat06 says:

Strand, tears of joy. I was glad I was by myself though.

  41. strandoftds82 says:

I was by myself as well. HaHa!!

  42. tlcat06 says:

Didn’t go to bed until 1 a.m. Too hyped. Cannot wait until next Sunday. Anyone know when we’re warring our alternate blue jersey?

  43. tlcat06 says:

    *wearing

  44. strandoftds82 says:

    Not sure

  45. strandoftds82 says:

there are two games that I am looking forward to watching how it turns out. Baltimore vs Houston both at 5-1. And the other is Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati. Those two are biggies this weekend I think.

  46. tlcat06 says:

I’m looking forward to that Jets Patriots game

  47. strandoftds82 says:

This is a rarity for me. GO JETS!! LOL

  48. baylinorcrush says:

Sunday I’ll be all in for one game, the Saints at Tampa, have to check out closely what we are up against, the rest is like a side dish.

  49. strandoftds82 says:

    Come on Tampa!
