Having won five games in a row, and six of their last seven, the Denver Broncos have garnered increased attention from around the nation as they turned their 1-4 start into a 7-5 record.
But despite the additional intensity from outside sources, the team hasn’t let it become a distraction.
“For me, (I want) to consistently be motivated and come out here and work extremely hard and not worry about everything else on the outside — whatever good or bad is said,” quarterback Tim Tebow said. “Just let that be on the outside and focus on things I can control and come in here being a great teammate, work as hard as I can and try to get a little bit better.”
While Tebow himself has been the focus of much coverage, the team’s last-to-first turnaround has also been a big talking point. However, even tied atop the AFC West, the players are staying grounded.
“We still have the same mentality,” linebacker Von Miller said. “Still taking it one day, one play at a time. That’s the mentality we had six weeks ago and that’s the same feeling we have today.”
But while the wins in November helped propel the Broncos into the AFC West race, Head Coach John Fox has made it clear to the players that it’s what they do in December that counts.
“The way we’re playing right now, we got to keep it up,” defensive end Jason Hunter said. “We can’t afford to start patting ourselves on the back. We’ve got to continue to grind, grind, grind and at the end of this four-game stretch, we’ll see where we are.”
The Broncos have the advantage of playing three of their last four games at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Their recent success has come mostly on the road — where they’ve also won five straight games — and they are looking to their fans to help make the last quarter of the season memorable.
“We’ve been trying to display this road warrior thing. But it’s good to come back home,” defensive end Elvis Dumervil said. “Last time we played here it was really rocking. So we’re looking forward to the fans to make sure it’s really rocking.”

Thanks for participating in Bronco Trivia….
)
Bay, I enjoyed your long post explaining your fandom… I respect you for sticking by the Broncos threw all the BS…
I can only claim 30 years of hardcore fandom… but as long as there is an Orange and Blue to Cheer for I will Cheer…
Bay, just messin around on the shedding a tear. But enjoyed the write up from the heart, good stuff. The truth hurts but well respected.
Wasn`t that the same year we played the Bills a month earlier in the regular season and the Bills scored 3 TD`s in 21 seconds, remember that?
Ugggh… Those guys were really good too… the Bills of the early ’90′s… Too bad their field goal kicker failed… or Kelly’s name would have to be right up there in the best ever conversation…
Well, just found out the the Broncos vs. Bears game will be broadcasted locally in NY… That’s two in an a row, and the only two all season, except for the Jets game… Probably just a coincidence…. LOL
*that the
Yep, the Kicker Christie Should have made that kick. The Bills should have atleast one SB win.
Nice OT… congrats!!!
Actually, Elway was injured in that game. David Tredwell missed 3 first half field goals and Buffalos only TD came on a pick 6 after an Elway to Sewell pass was tipped.
Kubiak replaced Elway in the 4th and led Denver to their only score of the contest.
A tough loss for sure…
The Bills game will be cool, VMiller vs. MDareus!!!
Didn’t Dareus say he was gonna “make us pay” for passing on him?? I wonder how that’s going…
If we would have won that 91 game against the Bills Elway would have played in 6 SB`s and Against the Giants for a repeat in 91. That would have been cool to see. Not meant to be though.
I`m happy with Von Miller big time. I don`t care if Dareus gets a sack or two, whatever, we have the sack machine in #58.
Thx BT!! I hope everyone here gets the game wherever they reside as well!! I’m loving the Tebow effect, can’t wait to see the schedule next year, I bet we’ll have the most prime time games behind GB
Take a look at the Monday night game this week, or last week for that matter…. The NFL is gonna take some serious heat for this years scheduling.. Their answer?? Tebow time!!! LOL
Does it bother anyone else that Andrew Luck wears an Offensive Lineman type brace on his left knee?
Seems like there could be some underlying issues that are not fully disclosed… or I haven’t come across them yet…
any thoughts?
Next years opponents so far in 2012.
Home: Cinncinatti, Baltimore, Atlanta, Carolina.
Away: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, N.O., T.B.
Others not known yet as due to strength of schedule.
OT, glad you get to watch our game. Cool!
Strandsky… I believe it was Norwood that missed that kick wide right… and Christie took his place…
Yeah, you are right, Scott Norwood missed a 47 yard FG. My mistake.
Thx! I rarely miss a game, but prefer to watch at home vs. the bar when I can… I could see the Balt, Atl, Pitt, & N.O. games all get serious consederation for Thurs/Sun night/Mon…
Btw, is In-N-Out as good as everyone says?? I’ve heard many people rave about it over the years, and I love me a good burger!!
The best burger I ever had, hands down.
new blog
Sounds amazing!
OT, your a New Yorker> Remember the baseball player who pitched for the Yankees Cory Lidle who crashed his plane into a 50 story building and died about 4 years or so ago. Well at his funeral, Corys wife said the thing she knew he`d miss the most was going to In n Out burger in California, because that was Corys favorite place to go. So what I`m saying is, what does that tell you, and he was living in N.Y. at the time. Cory Lidle was from California. just a little history.
