The Broncos talked all week about starting fast, and they did just that.

The offense’s first drive of the game kicked off with a 5-yard run by Tim Tebow. From there it was a 10-yard Knowshon Moreno run, a 14-yard pass from Tebow to Eric Decker and a 34-yard run by Lance Ball to put the Broncos in the red zone.

A delay of game penalty and a 1-yard run by Moreno gave the Broncos a second-and-14 at the 21-yard line, and Tebow dropped back and fired a pass to Decker, which the receiver appeared to haul in near the back of the end zone.

It was ruled incomplete, however, and Head Coach John Fox challenged the ruling on the field. After a look at the replay, the refs still determined that Decker didn’t both feet in bounds with possession.

An incomplete pass on third down meant Matt Prater jogged onto the field to kick a 39-yard field goal, which was good.

Denver leads Detroit 3-0.

The eight-play, 64-yard drive took just 3:35 off the clock.

With that kick, Prater tied Jason Elam for the second-longest streak in franchise history with his 34th consecutive field goal of under 40 yards made.
