The Broncos have a new tackle in town, announcing the signing of free agent Herb Taylor on Wednesday. After leaving last Sunday’s game at Kansas City, Ryan Harris was also placed on injured reserve with a toe injury.
A third-year tackle, Taylor entered the league with the Chiefs as a sixth-round pick in then 2007 NFL Draft. He was waived by Kansas City at the end of the team’s 2009 training camp.
Taylor appeared in 18 games for the Chiefs, including all 16 contests last season. As a rookie in 2007, he appeared in two contests, was inactive for 11 games and dressed but did not play in three games.
A college stalwart at Texas Christian University, Taylor earned first-team All-Mountain West recognition during both his junior and senior seasons. He set a school record by making 48 consecutive starts and helped the Horned Frogs to a win in the Poinsettia Bowl during his senior season.

Go Broncooos!
Hi mom!
Hey !!!
wow the first player all year to be placed on IR. I gotta say, props to the strength and conditioning program this year! These guys dont get enough credit they’ve kept our guys relatively healthy all year. I still get nightmares from last years 7 RB’s. shiver
This is actually the third…you forgot about J’Vonne Parker DT and Nick Greisen LB
first time bloging go broncos
I hope McD knows what he’s doing with this guy. I mean to be cut from the Chefs during only his 3rd season isn’t saying a lot for him. Does anyone know the scoop on him? Was he injured or something, or just couldn’t make the team in KC?
Even tho I’ve moved to Pensacola Florida, I lived and aquired the broncos as my only professional football team. They are the best as far as I’m concerned, I’ve been through all the sadness, madness, and joyfulness with them. While selling cars for Phil Long after retirement from U.S.ARMY, I was blessed to watch the “BRONCS”…wup on Grenn Bay in the superbowl. I also sat by John Elway and his family @ copper mountain ski resort. I truly feel I’ve been blessed and will love my(our) broncos till death do us part. Go Broncs wup up on those Colts this sunday!
