The Broncos added free agent wide receiver Jason Hill and guard C.J. Davis to the roster this week.
Hill (6-foot-0, 202 pounds) will enter his sixth NFL season in 2012 after playing with Jacksonville (2010-11) and San Francisco (2007-10) to begin his career. He was originally selected by the 49ers in the third round (76th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft from Washington State University.
In 50 career games (13 starts), he has totaled 76 receptions for 1,028 yards (13.5 avg.) with eight touchdowns. In 10 games (all starts) for the Jaguars in 2011, he recorded a career-best 367 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 25 catches.
Hill, who produced 148 career receptions for 2,704 yards and a school-record 32 touchdowns at Washington State, attended Sacred Heart Cathedral High School in San Francisco and was born on Feb. 20, 1985.
Davis (6-foot-2, 308 pounds) will enter his third NFL season in 2012 after spending his first two professional campaigns (2009-10) with Carolina. He originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Panthers in 2009 before being placed on injured reserve at the end of training camp during his rookie season. He was signed to the Panthers’ active roster from their practice squad in 2010 and played seven games for the club to close out the season.
He played 45 career games (43 starts) at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a first-team All-Big East Conference selection as a senior. Davis attended West Allegheny High School in Imperial, Pa., and was born on Feb. 2, 1987.

I LOVE Trumaine Johnson we need him bad good cover guy for those TE we have trouble against
Being from Billings MT i try and follow them as much as possible and he is probably the best player ever from any Montana college if he went to lsu he would have been a top 5-10 pick
Why use our first pick on a guy (Burfict) when a lot of things ive seen have in as a 3rd round prospect? I still think we take Fox, Still or Worthy with the first pick, but if they decide on a LB they should look into Brown, Kuechly or Hightower. I think the first 2 picks this year should be a DT and LB.
Anyone notice we have had a hard time finding a DB to pair with the Champ since Darrent Williams died? (may he rest in piece)
Hey, if Johnson is fast and can turn his hips to cover those TE`s, snag him!!
I love Trumaine Johnson hes a nice guy to i got to meet him while i was in Missoula looking at the college there. I gotta play some football with the guy and he has solid hands and great technique.
New blog lads
Yo Aussie, how goes it?
Ross is 29, but Porter is only 25.. He’s from LA, and he probably wants to stay put.. Just throwing two names out there i haven’t heard brought up here before..
I’d like to see us draft a solid CB, but part of me thinks we’re better off trying to sign a proven FA in the 25-29 age range.. Reason being I feel like we had such bad luck with CB’s in the draft.. Let’s not forget we got Champ in a trade..
The Broncos have had bad luck in the past with CB but all the more reason to believe they can get it right this time odds gents odds
We should sign Carr or Ross and draft a CB like JT if hes available at round 2 or 3.
We need a good end opposite Doom in front of Miller and a big BEEF guy in the middle next to Bunk.
Anyone know much about Gilmore from South Carolina? I hear good things about him. A lot about his technique AND i hear he is great at jumping the route.
sad to say any CB playing opposite Champ wont have the best days. Champ is that great. God Rest his soul, Darrent Williams wouldve been the next great CB.
It would be smart to invest in a superb young CB right now, be it FA or draft. Champ knows his legs wont keep up forever. He is still our IRONMAN.
we need edge rushers.,,with long arms….throw the house for Mario (cash
aha) ..that man will make offenses sorry…
we miss our history of hard hitting safeties.its always been a Bronco tradition to hear helmets cracking in the middle of the field ( Sorry Mr. Goodell).
We need ( Youth ) in our back end of our D . Champ and dawk are GREAT and cant be replaced but we need our future players in the fold to benefit from watching champ and dawk playing the twilit of there careers and having qualified people to pass what they know and show on
I think we do have valuable youth in our defense, but i do agree we must look in to a future safety that has a strong understanding of the game, some one who has the potential to orchistrate our defense like Brian does for us. The Broncos will once again be an elite team soon.. we have to think about the other side of the ball too, many elite teams dont think it will take years to become great, their mind set is more along the lines of,” be great now”, and if you get your team to believe that, who knows what may happen, we might end up with another superbowl… you only live once!! Broncos for life, and my home town Denver.
