Broncos Show Support for Colorado

September 8th, 2012 - 12:13pm by Gray Caldwell

In 2012, Colorado has suffered through a tragic shooting in Aurora and multiple wildfires throughout the state.

To honor the victims of the tragedies and show their support for the state, the Broncos will wear a special helmet decal for the 2012 season.

The sticker — pictured above — is a ribbon featuring the state flag of Colorado.

The decal will make its first appearance this Sunday night, when the Broncos take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Showing support for their home state is an important cause for the Broncos this season. As linebacker Von Miller wrote in his latest blog, “We had a lot of stuff happen around Denver in the last year and we just want to bring some happiness and joy — and hopefully some wins — back to Colorado this season.”

But what the hell does that have to do with football? I can’t wait to see von miller do amazing things this season and champ playing with a chip on his shoulder showing everyone that when he has help on the other side and qbs are forced to throw his way he will get picks. And Ronnie Hillman will progress as a pass blocker and that will lead to him having the #2 RB spot and Moreno (if he doesn’t get injured again) being traded for a mid round pick.

As for my take on religion, I honor the Catholic beliefs out of respect for my family tradition.

My beliefs- do unto others as you’d have them do unto you, set a positive example, remain optimistic and display confidence in all you do!

Cam- nice touch on the Denver Freakin Broncos!!!

  3. DaddyBronc says:

Oh SEC – If you only knew the truth! The truth is I worry and pray for you all the time. Every time you fail to appear on Friday night I am concerned. I honestly do pray for you and that is not just a saying with me.

You remind me of one of my brothers. We fought all the time growing up and we still debate everything. He is easily ‘up in arms’ just like yourself.

…but when we get together – there is no one with whom I’d rather be hunting, fishing, or watching football.

  4. SECBroncofan says:

Buddah…it has nothing to do with football, but DB has to throw it in there…it’s who he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This IS NOT a religous blog….this is FREAKING BRONCOS COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So respectfully keep your religion to yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. SECBroncofan says:

DB…I do respect you as a friend brother, but I can do without the preaching bro,and don’t worry about me,I will be fine!!!!!!!

I appear on Friday and Saturday night, because somebody keeps banning me,for no reason!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. tlcat06 says:

Buddha, surprisingly no! You were just missing a few commas!

  7. DaddyBronc says:

See SEC – you give me more reason to be concerned – now if you don’t show on a Fri, night I am gonna be thinkin’ you’ve been arrested for assaulting the preacher!!!

  8. sndvl says:

    Gameday!

Have a great day everybody and GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. SECBroncofan says:

You disgust me DB,this preacher neighbor is a piece of crap and you are taking up for him over me,and you don’t know either of us,that’s why I call you a hypocrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS….if the preacher shows his face again….I’ll mess him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WHY??????Because I freakin can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. BuddhaBroncos says:

Sndvl I would just like to tell you that your beliefs are the core teachings of Buddhism. But what am I doing lets talk about football. So how about or punter Colquitt (sp?) he has quite a leg on him. Also: you know the person who I wanna see get a shot with the starters is Treviathan (I know it’s Trevathan, I think) .

  11. SECBroncofan says:

    SNDVL……..same to you bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. SECBroncofan says:

    Goodnight Broncos Country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all my friends:UNLEASH THE BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. DaddyBronc says:

Great SEC – Now I disgust you because I don’t want you to go to jail? LOL You are funny. Nope – this blog gets boring when you are not around.

  14. BuddhaBroncos says:

SEC does the reason why you are mad with the preacher have anything to do with his preaching?

  15. DaddyBronc says:

I think Colquitt is so consistently good – I sometimes forget to even think about his play. It has become almost automatic that our opponents have to start deep.

  16. tlcat06 says:

DB my Bible is not criticized by the Vatican. It is the exact one that is read on Sundays at Mass. Good try.

  17. DaddyBronc says:

Now Prater – last year when he was struggling to hit those mid-range kicks….I was beside myself. Turn out that it was just a little slump and he is now money from anywhere. I am dying for Prater to own the longest field goal title at my #1 fav. football field.

  18. tlcat06 says:

But that is the last time I talk about my religion here unless another need arises… say someone needs prayers. Sorry Buddha.. I should’ve just left well enough alone.

  19. tlcat06 says:

Today was a horrible day and tomorrow should be one of the best days of my life. I’m going to try to go to sleep! GO BRONCOS!!

  20. SECBroncofan says:

Buddah..no it most certainly DOES NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is because he cusses and goes preaching to church, and leaves his wife and kids at home….to me that is a freaking low life preacher that is going to HELL!!!!!!!!!!

AND THAT IS ALL THE RELIGION YOU WILL GET OUTTA ME TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOODNIGHT ALL!!!!!!!!

  21. BuddhaBroncos says:

I think Colquitt was just as important as Prater. If not for him more of those 3 and out would have ended up as scoring drives for the other team.

  22. BuddhaBroncos says:

SEC I would suggest a yoga class for you good sir. The meditation will help calm your nerves. Im just curious what business of yours it is what he does in his house with his family. I mean it doesn’t sound like he is hurting them. And its not your place to pass judgment on him for his behavior. If anything you should try and offer him guidance. And what if god’s plan for him is to be an example for others of what not to do.

  23. DaddyBronc says:

    To Cat and Strand –
Silencing people of faith is a long and glorious tradition practiced by Statist, Totalitarian – forces. I understand getting all upset when John Elway is termed over rated. I don’t understand getting mad about an honest discussion.

As to the NAB Catholic translation. The translation was put into motion by Vatican II (1962-1965) and originally completed in 1970. Rome hated the new translation and ordered it redone. Because the 1970 version had the support of the American Bishops – and they fought the changes – it took until 1991 for the rewrite to happen. From here my knowledge is limited but the American Bishops have reproduced the 1970 version with compromises to help gain acceptance. I believe this newest version came out in March of 2011. There is still much debate and it seems as though yet another rewrite will occur ordered by Rome. The 2011 version is called the 4th revision so I know I am forgetting a layer in there and when it was written.

  24. DaddyBronc says:

Colquitt never gets to put points on the board. But other than that I agree. I want to franchise Colquitt too.

  25. BuddhaBroncos says:

Alright I gotta go spray down the parking lot (working overnights at a gas station is super awesome /sarcasm), so I will talk to you lovely folk tomorrow around gametime.

  26. SECBroncofan says:

Buddah,it is none of my business, but he curses me and his dogs come on my property and fight my dogs, that are on chains, and his kids walk all over my property, after they shot my window out with a freaking BB gun….what am I supposed to do brother, forget about it,I am one pissed off dude…an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth brother!!!!!!!!!!

    I’m one mad S.O.B.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. SECBroncofan says:

    GOODNIGHT BRONCOS COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. DaddyBronc says:

True story – not to make buddha nervous.

I was seventeen working at Bob Taylor Chevron in Camarillo, CA. I worked the cash register up til midnight. I was doing just like Buddha there hosing down the around the pumps etc. when all the sudden one of the garage bay windows exploded. It was 30 feet away from me when it happened so I wasn’t the target. I never called the police because I never heard a shot. The next day Bob Taylor called because there was bullet damage to the car inside the bay, that I hadn’t seen. They never found out who fired the shot but it was a .30 Caliber round fired from a long distance. My Mom made me quit that job.

Sorry Buddha – I’m sitting here in pain and can’t sleep – and I’m bored and can’t find anything to watch.

  29. DaddyBronc says:

SEC – shoot the dogs with a BB gun – but only when they come on your property.

Wasn’t it Reptavia who said, “then the whole world could end up blind and toothless.”

  30. DaddyBronc says:

    Uhhh….use a daisy! LOL

    Def. don’t shoot the kids!!!

  31. BuddhaBroncos says:

oh, well I don’t believe I had all of the information. So what state do you live in? I know here in Texas this is a no issue because I can shoot you for trespassing after one warning to leave my premises and not come back. As long as you don’t shoot them in the back. Those rules also now apply to my place of work and my car :) . I love my state.

P.S. I actually don’t own a gun and have only ever shot a gun once and that was at a gun range.
P.P.S. As a Buddhist I don’t believe in or condone violence.
P.P.P.S. Also I know from living in Salada for 4 months that Coloradians (I don’t even know) generally dislike Texans so I ask that you don’t hold it against me.

  32. BuddhaBroncos says:

Oh wow I just read your post DB and that is crazy. Luckily I live in a small town and the only thing I have to worry about is the crack heads with shifty fingers trying to steal our Brillo pads and tire gauges. Also I am now officially nervous.

  33. strandoftds82 says:

Holy tomato! I missed all the excitement last night. I`m stuck in the middle here, between a rock and a hard place. Daddy and Ticat are both blog friends. We all have God and our Broncos in common. All I can say is LOVE covers a multitude of sins. I`m not saying that anyone of you sinned, your just both from 2 different mind sets in your theology. I feel responsible in playing a big part in this and it makes me feel bad. I care about the both of you. As far as I`m concerned, you are both my brother and sister in JESUS!! Lets talk Broncos shall we?!!

  34. alaskanbronco06 says:

    Strand how goes it?!

    ITS GAMEDAY!!!!!

  35. marshisboss says:

    GOOD MORNING GAMEDAY

I see you guys had a wild night

  36. ScalptheChiefs says:

This is a Broncos blog right guys? Listen I am a believer of freedom of speech and all that good stuff but last night was ridiculous…. I like a few other fellow bloggers have zero interest in religion and I personally would apprieciate if you guys could keep these discussions to yourselves through email or something… I love this blog as it is the best place for me to get up to the minute information about my DENVER BRONCOS! I could care less about bible passages and who took what courses and all that other great info you guys shared last night… Im probably going to get chewed out for this post, but I really could care less… reading this blog last night made me want to puke so I decided to sleep on it and this is my response…. Im sure you guys (Cat, Strand, DB Buddha) had no preaching intentions about any of what was said last night, but as a Broncos fan first and foremost all that conversation made it very awkward for me to post, and Im going to go out on a limb and say it made others feel the same way. I hope I didnt offend anybody and Im looking forward to continuing to post about our amazing football team all season! Thank you

  37. strandoftds82 says:

Its is AB. I`m doing grand bro!! BRONCOS 2012!!!!!!

  38. alaskanbronco06 says:

  39. strandoftds82 says:

Scalp, your cool in my book. I`m not offended. I went to bed before the real excited got started. YIKES!!

  40. strandoftds82 says:

AB, thanks for all the hard work you put into this off season. Your always on top of the latest news. Bro, I don`t do twitter. Maybe one day I will, I just choose not to. Anyway, thanks dude.

  41. tlcat06 says:

Scalp I am sorry. Its all my fault. I just need to ignore him.

  42. strandoftds82 says:

I`m looking forward to the early games. Lets get this all started. Countdown to kickoff!!

  43. strandoftds82 says:

  46. tlcat06 says:
