Broncos Set Single-Season Record

January 1st, 2012 - 4:58pm by Gray Caldwell

Entering today’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos needed 214 rushing yards to set a new single-season record.

With 3:42 remaining in the fourth quarter, Denver hit that mark, and now has 2,631 yards on the season.

It’s also the highest average per carry of the top-five single-season yardage totals — 4.9.

Willis McGahee leads the way with 145 of the team’s 216 yards so far today, the veteran back’s seventh 100-yard game of the season.
