The Broncos on Thursday released linebackers Boss Bailey and Louis Green along with safety Herana-Daze Jones, it was announced. The club also waived running back Kestahn Moore and cornerback Rashod Moulton.

Bailey joined the team as an unrestricted free agent before the 2008 season; Green played 64 games with the club since signing in 2003; Jones spent the final month of the 2008 season on the team’s roster; Moore signed with the team as a rookie free agent during the offseason; and Moulton spent the majority of the 2008 season on the practice squad.

AMEN to jethro_g!!! Like I said in my previous post I’m cautiously optimistic. I want nothing more than success for the Denver Broncos. I had my concerns about McDaniels and some of his early moves. I was frustrated with the Shanahan firing, etc. Jethro_g puts that in perspective in his post thanks for that. I don’t know how Orton will be but I think there is great potential there with the fine receivers that we have (w/wo Marshall). It will be interesting to see how this young QB does with so many targets. One man does not a team make. We could have the best QB on the planet, the greatest running back in the game, the most phenomenal recievers ever born. and yet a crappy O-line could cause all of that to go down the tubes. With all the unknows of this season, with all the distractions of the Cutler and now Marshall situations, my hopes are that when the final cuts are made after the pre-season that the 53 remaining players are the best we can field and that they come together and work as one unit and that they put the Broncos back on the path to success and on to the Super Bowl ASAP!!! This is the best franchise in the NFL, and it will always be!!!

After watching that, Marshall needs to practice what he preaches. “The reward is greater than the sacrifice.” In his case the reward of getting paid more isn’t worth looking like a greedy, immature, cry baby, punk. Now I know for sure that Marshall isn’t for real, otherwise he’d be at camp, working with the other guys.

I think Brandon deserves a new contract. With lots of clauses for any more run-ins with the law. And also have incentives for not dropping the ball. I think he would have scored more last year if Jay didn’ turn it over so much in the red zone. Because everyone here knows he is a constant mismatch in the endzone. But if he would just show up to the camps I’m sure he would learn a lot from McD. He did coach Moss and if you remember Moss broke records when McD was there. Records set by “former” Bronco, Jerry Rice. haha

Good to see Torain is coming along nicely. Hope he gets 100% for the season.

McDaniel’s is to blame for the downfall of the team omg that was shanny and his refusal to adopt to the times much like Danny boy, wins games but will never win the big one again D wins championships and shanny cant build a D to save his life nuff said! WAAAAAAAA all these players are leaving I dont recognize the team any more?? Thank god 4 that who at the end of last season did not say we need change? well you wanted it now you get it and dont like it?holding onto injury prone, medioker players or players who choke when the season is on the line is why shannys unemployed and McDaniel’s is here want to blame someone for the decisions McDaniel’s has had to make look no further than Shanny and his apathetic approach to D-fence Bly, really ??Boss is gone because he isn’t healthy enough to play McDaniel’s wanted him and to think otherwise is just dumb! Cutler needed to go so get over it already this offence requires a dispersal of the ball not throwing to his BFF and the ability to put the ball where the coach tells you 2 put it neither of which is Jay forte .Jays an ad lib Ill do what i think is best and and if you drop a ball Ill have a tantrum kinda guy ! sure josh said he wanted to coach jay that was until he met the Jerk and Jay told him how to run his team and who is staff should be ! Lastly on Jay he will falter badly old decrypted line and no wide receivers good luck Jay !!If you know one thing about McDaniel’s is that he knows the QB position better than prob any coach in the league so shut up give the dude a shot and quit with all the bellyaching!! Most important B marsh and his troubles start and end with B Marsh you like to beat women and drink and drive I dont care how talented you are get the F out of my city and off my team !The bottom line is do you think if we give B-marsh what he wants he wont be in trouble again WAKE UP next time hes gone for a year and that WILL HAPPEN!!!!And the same ppl having a fit now will be the first to say why did we give him all that money guess what cant have it both ways!! Yea hes got mad skills but at the end of the day is that enough? And as far as teams not wanting him the Browns and Ravens have both stated openly they do .And more than likely he will be here and will be for a long time so the debate is academic but that’s my 2 cents!

  6. texark-fan says:

this is plane and simple….mac cut the players HE DID NOT LIKE back in Jan. now he is cutting the ones who can not make the team. i told you this was going to happen when we drafted GOOD PLAYERS and brought in GOOD F/A. there are only 53 spots on the roster.
if you are so upset about the cuts, print out the roster and mark out who you would not keep and see what happens. i did. my roster was about 70 players.

    coloradocutler good post

  7. LBWilson56 says:

Can we ban “nolongerafan24″ from the site…He’s bringing me down and if he is no longer a fan as he states,we shouldnt have to read what he has to say….

  8. Dynamicdave says:

LBWilson56, no doubt. I concur. Hey, do me a favor, shoot me an email and we’ll talk about the bronco bar. dynamicdave8 at the yahoo.

Coloradocutler, that wasn’t 2 cents, that was a buck and some change, ha, ha. Agree with your post though. People need to cut the apron strings and let things go and move on.

  9. Deify_you says:

Do what I do, if I dont recognize the person who posted a comment then I dont read it. Remember all the people who signed up during the Cutler fiasco? Now none of them even post anymore, some were trolls others were just disgruntled fans. Kinda like what nolongerafan24 is.

  10. Dynamicdave says:

Deify, I know I haven’t been posting long on here (I used to blog RMN). I blog ESPN, but you get a lot of trolls blogging there who would never say some of the things they say if not for the safety of their computers. They get much too personal. I have met a few good ones, though and we exchanged emails. I’ve met friends through the Bronco blogs who we’ve met at the Bronco bar I go to in Vegas and watched games and shared beers and shots of schnapps. Great times and great people. The Bronco nation (for the majority) have solid people. From the point of the firing of Shanahan till now, ir’s seperating the true fans from the bandwagon. Just as good, we don’t need the posers. So Deify, who is next to go? I think Tony Carter (CB) won’t stick (mainly because they drafted Smith). Colquitt won’t stick. Kerns is more consistant. Mitch Erickson. Vernon Fox. Brandon Gorin. Some others, but that’s a small portion I think won’t be there come regular season. Thoughts?

  11. TruBroncFan07 says:

nolongerafan24 you are a disgrace to Broncos Fans everywhere. You should root for your team no matter what. I am not a fan of the new president of the United States. It does not mean that I am no longer going to support our president and country. I totally agree that Mc Dumbass has really messed up everything since he has gotten here. I still hope these moves work out for the best and the team can move forward and win games. We will know soon enough. Support your team!

  12. Deify_you says:

I’m going to say most of CFA 09′ that’ll save some typing. I want to say Torain will be gone, but that article now has me thinking different. Fox I would say is easily gone. Also I would say Jordan, but I think his chances of staying are better than Torain, but I honestly have no idea. Last but not least Putzier.

  13. Dynamicdave says:

Yeah, I forgot about Jeb. I think Torain may stick because of Turner giving McD such a good word, I’m willing to bet. Turner was always very high on Torain. he said, “I don’t like this guy… I LOVE this guy.” That’s high praise. Healthy, he’s dominant. I watched him a few times at ASU and he was an animal. Keep our fingers crossed.

TruBroncFan07, he’s a Raiders fan trolling… Gotta be, nobody else would utter that type of blasphemy.

  14. lostfan says:

doesn’t anyone out there remember that shanny’s first year as the bronco coach only netted the team an 8-8 record, or how he cleaned house when he came in an dumped the vast majority of players from the wade phillips era.

if marshal wants a trade, bowlen should call up his old cronies in canada and send him packing to the cfl for some players who are more interested in playing football then beating on their women. remember clarence kay…he was another talented player who was more interested n slapping around his women then catching the ball, and what he only got arrested about a dozen times for assault during his stint with broncos

  15. George Bush says:

I might not know much but one thing I do know is that Rod Smith is the football player I respect the most. He still shows the class that others lack and is 100% behind the Bronco’s and Coach McDaniels.

He is my Captain and I will always follow his lead. Rod will always be a greater player than Marshall.

  16. LBWilson56 says:

    Dynamicdave:You got it…you’ll hear from me soon…..

  17. BroncoAussie says:

What up, Aussie is back, been away for awhile but been reading your posts. So what to talk about…. Ok I think Torain will stay because that is turners boy. I don’t care about the trolls, usually they views are wrong and not founded. But everyone is entitled to an opinion so what, something to talk about and discuss.

As for Marshall, oh boy marshall. Could not of picked a worst time to do this. Should have done this right after the season ended, before his last arrest. But now pending a further suspension, coming off injuries it doesn’t look good for him. It makes some sense though (check out the vid on Nfl.com) he is seeing that with orton he won’t see as many balls and you get payed for good numbers.

The way I see it going down, marshall holds out, gets fined, plays with the broncos during the season and gets franchised at the end of the season, where he would get payed the big dollars.

  18. broncos14441 says:

I dont know about ALL the CFA will be cut. Nate Swift shows promise! I watched him play the past two years at Nebraska and I have to admit that he was probably Coach Callahans BEST Recruit. He reminds me alot of the Patriot’s Wes Welker. I have a good feeling that he will make the final roster.

  19. Dynamicdave says:

broncos14441, I too, like Swift. The kid has skills.

  20. dbroncosl988 says:

not for nothing cutler was really good u guys forget that it was just that the o-line was fantastic (they are) but he also helped by moving his feet in the pocket better than most qbs and avoided many sacks if u watched all the games you see he was very good at manuevering in the pocket and keeping his eyes upfield …..he still is stupid for wanting to leave and being such a baby but whatever BTW THIS IS OUR SEASON ortons gunna have a breakout yr and watch out down the road i think tom brandstater the rookie qb is gunna be our starter and a very great qb under mcdaniels

  21. greatness007 says:

People still crying I see. lol You either like the teams moves or don’t. Noone who make the moves care what we think. So stop getting all hostile about it. Your making yourselves look bad. Well who care right? lol Does anyone remeber when shanny was first hired? I don’t remeber him going to the Superbowl his first year. So just chill. Sit back and remember. You might like or even love the team. It is not your life. So stop acting like it is!

  22. tjnartw says:

I’ve been a Broncos fan since ‘74 and always will be even if Mr. B. decided to hire Bill Cowher. Or even if coach McD. was to bring in Terrell Owens. I hope neither of those two situations ever happen in Denver, but I would still be a fan. So when I see a comment such as nolongerafan put in that he or she would be rooting for other teams, it’s hard to believe that he or she was ever a fan. I’m very excited with where this team is heading. It needed to be shaken up and that is what I’m seeing

  23. Dynamicdave says:

I think with all the drama that is going on and no real football to watch, we’re all just going through withdrawals. We need our “football fix,” ha, ha.

  24. BroncoAussie says:

Hey Dave, check out this link. It is a cartoon by Drew Litton, I like his work but it pretty much sums up what you are saying.

  25. Dynamicdave says:

Well, the staff in their “infinite wisdom” removed both of my posts from the “Finishing Strong”, article! Incredible! No cuss words. No bashing. The 1st post was Broncos talk. The 2nd one mentioned bloggers on the ESPN site that bash (trolls). They removed them both. I’ve contacted them twice and never heard back from them. I notified them today after seeing my posts removed, that they need to proof read our posts better and it was wrong to remove a post that was simply about the Broncos. No trash talking, no cussing, no bashing. I seriously think I’ll stop blogging here if this is the type of professionalism I can expect. It’s been great, Bronco fans, but this staff needs to get it together. This is the 2nd site I’ve felt compelled to leave a site. Have a good life Bronco fans. I’m outta here.

To all fathers in Broncoland, including staff, may you have a wonderful Father’s Day. I will see you all against Dallas and New England.

  27. 1ArabianKnight says:

    Happy Father’s Day Fans!!!!

    Go Crushhhh!!!!

  28. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

This might be a little off of the subject, but can anyone please tell me just what the difference is between being RELEASED and being WAIVED? I’ve never heard an explanation in all of my years as a fan. (I’ve always thought of them as being synonymous.)

  29. brian_schneider says:

57Yellow T-Bird: I believe “waiver” means they still have rights to the player, they could possibly trade him or something of the sort. “Released” means he is no longer obligated to the team and he could play for some different team.

  30. broncofan0510 says:

I think that Brandon Marshall deserves a new contract also! I mean come on, In just his 3rd year this dude has had 2 100+ catch seasons and a pro-bowl apperance on a team that hasn’t made the playoffs! We blew it on the firing of a legendary coach, we blew it on letting jay cutler go let’s not make it 3 times in one year please! One guy that I want everyone to look out for is a free agent linebacker named “Lee Robinson” he has the size, speed, and athletic ability to make and immediate impact for us and if/when he gets on the field he will definitly produce!

  31. brian_schneider says:

Marshall has had 2 100+ catch seasons. He also was ranked, I believe, 2nd for most drops also. He blames it on his had having numbness in it. He is coming off hip surgery and has some more legal issues that he is going to need to work out. He still isn’t definetly cleared by the league, he could still receive some type of disciplinary action. You take all that and weigh it against his 2 100+ catch seasons and his Pro Bowl, I don’t think that he has that much leverage to work with. I don’t want to see him go, but remember he’s the one that wanted out, Jay’s the one that wanted out. Shanny, well that was just the way the cookie crumbles when you haven’t been producing the wins. Hopefully they can work it out, but it sounds like Marshall doesn’t want any part in working it out. If they do give him a new contract it should be infused with a bunch of stipulations and clauses to make sure he keeps out of law trouble, to receive any garunteed money. Maybe he could then afford anger management classes or something.

  32. whitebronco#1 says:

Now 80 in the team. 27 still to go. I just have read the list and I couldn’t pick those 27. Not even 15. Hard times are coming, but the team will be strong when the 53 are left.

About Marshall, again, I just hope we can trade/deal him for what he thinks he’s worth and not for what it seems he really is.

    Go Broncooos!
