Broncos Nominated for Weekly Award

November 29th, 2011 - 1:30pm by Stuart Zaas

For the third straight week, the Broncos are nominated for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for their overtime victory in San Diego.

The award is given for the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance.

The Broncos have won the award three times already in 2011, including each of the past two weeks for their dramatic victories over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10 and the New York Jets in Week 11. The team also won the weekly honor for their overtime come-from-behind victory against the Dolphins in Week 7.

Each week’s winner will be stacked up against the 16 other Never Say Never weekly winners at the end of the season to determine the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year. At the conclusion of the regular season, fans can log onto NFL.com/gmc to vote throughout January for their favorite Moment of the Year among the 17 candidates.

Just like every other week! LOL.

  2. seweatherman1 says:

We are winning all of these weeks, at the end of the year we will all have to pick the best of our selection and vote for that one. I hope our Broncos get this award rvery single week from here on out. That would be great.

  3. pdp1408 says:

Cassius Vaughn to i.r.? Our defensive backfield is really hurting with these all injuries.

  4. seweatherman1 says:

Bay, did I see earlier today someone mention that we added a couple to the active roster? I looked on the DB home page but saw nothing on it. Do you know who we got or anything about them?

  5. ScalptheChiefs says:

Wow, that took a while to get caught up lol… A lot of passionate discussions. Looking forward to Minny I expect a big win!! It would be nice to get some help from the dolphins but I would count on it lol

My prediction for our upcoming game is Denver 20 Vikings 10.

Also just got my tickets for the buffalo game 9 rows upon the goalline, cannot wait hopefully we are wrapping up the division that week!! But watch for me with my orange #58!!! wooo so good to be a Bronco fan!!!

  6. Finneyfinstick10 says:

@Seweatherman1 We signed one of our safeties Kyle McCarthy and our rookie LB Mike Mohamed to the active roster.

  7. baylinorcrush says:

McCarthy and the other one escapes me.

  8. ScalptheChiefs says:

    wouldnt*** lol

  9. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, Mohamed, so they must not be so hot on Irving right now, we’re back to 53 anyhow, but no players from the outside, all in house which has been the way Fox has operated all season.

  10. ScalptheChiefs says:

Anyone surprised with the Steelers struggling to beat KC? Especially after KC had 3 straight turnovers to start the game I believe.

  11. Broncfalls says:

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) – Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says long-snapper Cullen Loeffler will miss two to six weeks with a back injury suffered in the loss to Atlanta on Sunday.

Frazier says safety Tyrell Johnson has a “significant” right hamstring injury and receiver Michael Jenkins also is having a knee injury examined. It was not immediately clear which knee Jenkins injured.

Frazier says the Vikings will sign someone to fill in for Loeffler, who broke a bone in his lower back. Jared Allen is the backup, but the team does not want its star pass rusher in the role for the long term.

Frazier also says running back Adrian Peterson’s sprained left ankle is improving, but it’s too soon to say if he will be ready to play against Denver on Sunday

    GO GET EM’ BOYS

  12. Broncfalls says:

    SCALPTHECHIEFS,

yep…very surprised! However, I think it’s that “any given Sunday” concept again. Look at New Orleans that take beating by the Rams but then hang 49 on the giants……it almost hurts trying to figure it out….

Then…you have this one team that uses the read option and a nasty defense all the time to win football games…yeah like that will work! LOL!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  13. ScalptheChiefs says:

Lol ya very good point, you just never know these days unless your playing the colts… I feel pretty safe betting against them haha… The Saints are always capable of 49, but to add to your point look at the Ravens this year… at times they look Packer-like perfection then they lose to the bottom feeders.

  14. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

8 hours away from Minneapolis and I still cant make it to a Broncos game. Good grief! At least I will be able to watch said Broncos game since ND is Vikings/Packers country.

    Prediction:

    Broncos – 23
    Vikings – 13

  15. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Another award?

Who wudda thunk it,considering how bad we were last year???

Suddenly my 8-8 prediction is looking GOOD!!!maybe we go 9-7 ???

  16. Broncfalls says:

    BeastFromEast92,

I’m off my mark by one but 12-4 is just outside the radar! LOL!

  17. ScalptheChiefs says:

I dont care what we go as long as you can put AFC West division champs in front of it!!! Time to top the koolaid up lol

  18. ScalptheChiefs says:

@cody you have to get nfl sunday ticket, I havent missed a Bronco game in 7 years… Amazing investment, we have this super sports pak where I get all the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB and tons of college football and bball games plus CHL hockey and NASCAR channels…. It doesnt get any better lol 30 bucks a month.

  19. strandoftds says:

    Is it sunday yet?

  20. ScalptheChiefs says:

I wish!!!! Ponder will be sore after this one!!

  21. Atwater4HOF says:

Elway had nothing but great things to say about Adam Weber on the practice squad.

“(QB Adam Weber) has been great. The practice squad is really developmental…they’re getting great work.”

“(Weber) has really shown us that he has potential to be a good QB. We’re hoping he continues to develop.”

I’m happy to hear this. With Quinn likely gone next year, a solid backup is a must in this league. Just look at Chicago, Houston, Kansas City, and obviously the COLTS.

  22. TheHorseWhisperer7 says:

My prediction for this week is our defense forces at least 2 turnovers, while our offense has no turnovers and Tebow throws for 200 in yet another win…

    Now I’ve been happy lately
Thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be
    Something good has begun
    I’ve been smiling lately
Dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be
    Something good’s bound to come

For out on the edge of darkness
    There runs the peace train
    Peace train take this country
    Come take me home again

    Peace train sounding louder
    Ride on the peace train
    Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
    Come on the peace train
    Peace train’s a holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train
    Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
    This is the peace train

  23. RH709 says:

Things “they” said he couldn’t do, yet he did.
    Play H.S. QB
    Get a D1 scholarship
    Win a national championship
    Win the Heismen
Be a first round draft pick

Things “they” said he couldn’t do that are happening now.
    Play in the league
    Be a starting QB
    Win in the league.

Things “they” still say he can’t do.
    Make the playoffs
    Win the SB

Keep challenging him. It seems to be working :-)

  24. since1972 says:

Suppose I should get a points pick in, hope the defense keeps playing well and the offense takes care of the ball, and the Broncos win 17-14

  25. since1972 says:

Hey RH709 caught you post the other day about religion and motocross. Happen to be a mx nut myself still get out and race a couple times a year play ride a lot, at 58 years old bout all I can handle anymore. Ride an 03 crf450r

  26. strandoftds says:

    new blog.

  27. baylinorcrush says:

If they thought Weber was that great they wouldn’t let him hang on the PS where any team can claim him, just saying, obviously right now they think more of McCarthy and Mohamed.

  28. 1nOnlyTRB says:

I mean I expect this every week … the way this team wins and plays … the way this team is always doubted but perseveres … Tebow and this team in general represent Never Say Never.

Even now in Overall rankings, we are climbing … but I find it interesting that NYJ are 1 spot above us on the power rankings and we just beat them like 2 weeks ago.

    TRB

  29. sndvl says:

This is turning into the never say ‘Tebow’ award!!! Lmao…great job again fellas

  30. seeit360 says:
