Monday’s practice session brought some good news for the Broncos on the injury front.
Safety Quinton Carter was back on the practice field for the first time since injuring his hamstring and knee all the way back on July 27, the second day of training camp. He participated in individual drills at the start of practice.
Also back were cornerback Tracy Porter, who missed most of last week’s practices due to an illness, linebacker Danny Trevathan — his first practice since injuring his ankle in the team’s preseason opener at Chicago on Aug. 9 — and running back Ronnie Hillman, who hasn’t played in either of the team’s preseason games with a hamstring injury.
Early in team drills, Hillman made a couple of long catch-and-run plays out of the backfield.
Linebacker Keith Brooking and safety Jim Leonhard, who are not participating in Monday’s practice, were on the field, working off to the side with Head Athletic Trainer Luke Richesson.
We’ll have plenty more from practice, including the full roll call, after the session concludes.

So happy to hear that guys are getting back on the field……………hope to see Hillman in action this weekend!
Gray, do you have a practice schedule available? Days on/off?
Cheers!
SO seriously HAPPY to hear this!! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!
JDR Likes his guys a little bigger… Mitch gained 10 pounds I think.
Alright great to read some of the boys are back!
How’s it going strand?
I think the 1-2 punch of McGahee and Hillman is going to be awesome……….specially with Hillman’s ability to break it out wide and catch passes………..I’d just love to get a glimpse of it against the 49er’s.
Doing good Royal. I`m going to be in Denver this week, both Wednesday and Thursday. I`m helping a friend move from C/S to Denver. I want to hit Tokyo Joes while I`m up there. Cool place to munch.
Hillman alone makes Moreno`s days in Denver over.
I`m really glad that Porter, Q, Trevathan, and Hillman are back onto the field. Refreshing to know.
barring significant injuries before the season starts……….I couldn’t agree more strand..

The players have a day off on Wednesday this week. Other than that, there’s practice every day. Keep in mind, practices are no longer open to the public — don’t want to confuse anyone on here.
Gray,
Thanks for letting us know!! We were just curious when they were going to be practicing.
Heck ya, Thanks Gray!
thanks for the info Gray……………much appreciated………
Not a bad place to munch strand.. my daughters likes their food.
I prefer Benihana of Tokyo myself…lol.
Peyton, Hillman, and Wolfe–those are the three I’m most excited about!
Looks like it’s lights out for Merriman…….I can’t see another team picking him up, although you just never know. In his prime, he was a beast…..lord knows he terroized our team enough…..but injuries got the best of him.
Gray, are you still going to be posting photos and/or video from practices?
Geesh, a thousand good places to eat in the Denver area. Lots to choose from.
kod, I was just thinking about Merriman being on the Broncos, I’m just not sure if he is injured, or worth any risk.
My friend wants to go to BeniHanas to celebrate once she gets settled in. I hear that they put on a good show with their knives. HaHa!!
Glad to see us getting some guys back on the field. More than anything, I hope that Trevathan can turn out to a beast LB for us. We really need some help there IMO.
So Merriman is with no team? I don`t like him at all!
Cat, Wolfe is going to do special things for our Broncos.
Orange VonDoom Wolfe-Pack Defense!!!!
I don’t want Merriman. Charger blood can go some place else.
I cannot WAIT until this season starts!!!!
“U kno the world is waiting waiting waiting”~Willis McGahee
Sounds like a song. LOL
Merriman himself said he’s a better fit for 3-4 instead of 4-3.
That sounds like a good song title anyway.
Yeah -japanese kitchen, you’ll really like it strand!
He`s bad blood in my book. His attitude sucks! We don`t want him.
There`s suppose to be about 8 of us going from what I hear. The more the merrier. HaHa!!
Yeah – I used to get bugged when Merriman did his “convulsion dance” after sacking our QB’s…lol!
Merriman is a 1 light show, hey look at me mentality. His interviews on the NFLN a few years back while he was out for the year, he thought he was all that and a bag a chips. Merriman only had two solid seasons and thats it, all hype.
Merriman is still fuming with roids. LOL

We will still have a photo gallery from every practice, and video courtesy of Broncos TV. However, it will be a little bit different than training camp. There is only a limited shooting period at the start of practice now that camp has closed. But we will still have plenty of multimedia as the regular season gets closer and closer.
Thanks Gray, I just saw the pics!! Also I had time to think over the Merriman issue and I vote thumbs down also!! Pretend I never brought it up!
Gasperdn, I may have gone overboard with the Merriman thing but he just rubs me wrong. I`m sure he doesn`t do roids anymore, not if he wants to play ball. LOL
Gray, you rock! Thanks for being so helpful!!
Yes… it does sound like a song title, or we’re just obsessed with writing Bronco songs!!
New blog!
Royal said it best, he likes a 3-4 defense.
