Broncos Game-Winning Drive Earns Award

November 25th, 2011 - 4:55pm by Stuart Zaas

For the second straight week, and third time this season, the Broncos have earned the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week.

Denver’s 95-yard game-winning drive against the Jets was voted as the moment or play of the week that best represents determination and perseverance.

The Broncos won the award for Tim Tebow’s 56-yard touchdown pass late in Denver’s 17-10 victory over Kansas City and also for their for come-from-behind victory over Miami in Week 7.

Hey thanx Bay, i know you been busy, and you keep alot going on this site., but recent ranting by a certain knuckle Head has kept me off a bit more than usual, i looked for the posting but wasnt able to find it. Much Appreciation, you put your score in yet?

  2. strandoftds says:

Your right, the wild cards will most likely be Steelers, Ravens, or Bengals out of their division. LOL

  3. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, that’s unfortunate, and no haven’t made my prediction yet.

  4. baylinorcrush says:

The last score predictions results were posted on “Broncos vs. Jets: Key Plays” blog back on November 18th, 6:30 am post.

I just saw that the NFL fined Von Miller $25,000 for roughing the passer during the Jets game, 8 days later… I hope our FO is either picking this up, or giving miller a bonus for his sensational performance last week!!!!

Von Miller does nothing but eat, sleep, & sh*t nothing but Phillip Rivers this week.. Next week it’s the rookie Ponder.. Having a guy like this on our team is so much more of an asset than anyone can imagine..

    GO BRONCOS!!!

  6. daddybronc says:

I’m trying to put together a psych profile on Abru etc. He’s an interesting study.

  7. shaztah says:

One more win and I am out of the running since I predicted 5-11. I wasn’t optimistic with Orton but it’s all good as long as we keep winning.

  8. daddybronc says:

    LOL

  9. baylinorcrush says:

I wondered if you were going to fess up when I said 3 bloggers with 5-11, LOL, but I know yours was done in an Anti Orton sentiment.

  10. strandoftds says:

Daddy, when your done with your assessment, give us a heads up on that. My assessment on the dude is a raging psycho screaming for attention.

  11. Louisianabroncofan says:

Ya know I don’t remember a lot about orangutan but Abraham being glasnax makes sense to me. Weirdo. Anyway HOW BOUT THEM TIGERS!!! Arkansas had no chance and neither does bama second time around. But even better neither do the chargers IMO. I think Phillip will struggle again and our pass rush will only make it worse. We can run on this team and run we will. Good week to have mcgahee and tebow on ur fantasy team. Don’t get used to rivers playing this bad forever though, he’s too good for that but I’m lovin the slump while it lasts.

  12. strandoftds says:

Tomorrows game day. This games huge for us.

  13. shaztah says:

I will fess up cuz I was right about Orton. I hope he does well but you could just tell that he did not want to play in Dever anymore and I think the players knew it too.

  14. shaztah says:

I think it is a wonderful thing that the receivers are not selfish and are willing to wait for Tebow to progress. You never see that most players want the ball and they argue about it and in a way I can’t blame them since they are always playing for their job. I just wish we would have kept Gaffney because he and Tim had goos chemistry. I think in time Decker and Tim will have that chemistry too.

  15. daddybronc says:

Strand – you likely aren’t far off.

  16. baylinorcrush says:

Gaffney just has way more experience than Decker, been around the league like forever, is doing great in Washington.

  17. shaztah says:

Well, AP is out this week again ,not that I like someone being hurt but it would benefit us if he were out when we play them.

  18. daddybronc says:

I need help on tie breakers – if/when CHI takes OAK down. It puts us in a 1st place tie in both standings and division. What is the next tie breaker category? Will the Broncos move into 4th seed?

  19. baylinorcrush says:

No, head to head first tie breaker, lost both to the Raiders, that’s our biggest achilles heel, now maybe you understand better why I wanted the Chargers to beat the Raiders back then while most of you said it would be better to have the Raiders win…

  20. daddybronc says:

Uh.? My assumption is that the Broncos win tomorrow.

  21. OrangeTsunami says:

We really could’ve used Lloyd’s hands and acrobatic catches while Tebow works on getting more accurate, but getting a draft pick for him was the prudent move IMO (the only move too, since Lloyd asked to be released)

I feel good about our WR group, and Willis is showing me something even in his limited action

  22. shaztah says:

Man, it is such a beautiful day here. I have my doors and windows open and it is 72 degrees and a nice breeze. I love the fall.

  23. daddybronc says:

Told you I had to defer on football knowledge. Fix me Bay.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

haha, you do plenty good, just missing some of the details.

  25. daddybronc says:

I thought in head to head we beat Raiders as don’t they go with cumulative points?

  26. daddybronc says:

Hey Bay – We did Vail yesterday! Jealous?

  27. daddybronc says:

My first time on a snowboard. They said it would be better for my old knees.

  28. baylinorcrush says:

I guess it’s close enough for tiebreaker refresher:

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

    If wo teams are tied:

1.Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3.Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
    5.Strength of victory.
    6.Strength of schedule.
7.Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8.Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9.Best net points in common games.
10.Best net points in all games.
11.Best net touchdowns in all games.
    12.Coin toss

  29. strandoftds says:

Our division is 2-2 against each other isn`t it? We split with the raiders.

  30. baylinorcrush says:

If three teams are tied it gets more complicated, LOL.

  31. Louisianabroncofan says:

Probably never get to a coin toss then. It’s pouring rain here. I’m kinda jealous of shaztah.

  32. baylinorcrush says:

If you lose both games against a division team, the division record means zero, nada zilch in a tiebreaker, you guys ought to know that, or you do now.

  33. strandoftds says:

We won our second game against the raiders 38-24 at oakland.

  34. baylinorcrush says:

Vail, lived in Dillon 10 years, jealous is not the word, more like you’re cruel because I don’t have the legs anymore than can allow me any of that, can’t even golf anymore, haven’t been able to jog since 1996.

  35. baylinorcrush says:

Strand, completely blanked that out, how could I, I guess this discussion got me sidetracked, thanks for setting me straight.

  36. strandoftds says:

So you are related to Elway. Tough athlete whos abused his body because of the sports he played.

  37. strandoftds says:

Once in a great while you slip up Bay. LOL

  38. baylinorcrush says:

Anyway with 6 games to go it’s impossible to find out the tiebreaker yet other than head to head since we’ve played the Raiders twice already and it’s a tie so onto division record next, that part of it is not done yet, we would be well served to beat SD tomorrow…

  39. Louisianabroncofan says:

Well I know one thing u do a lot of bay-blog. And Oakland will prob win a tie breaker the further down it goes because our offense is not up to par so far this year. We need to keep winning division games.

  40. strandoftds says:

Our first game against the raiders 23-20, and our second game 38-24. We win that tie breaker right there. LOL

  41. strandoftds says:

Yeah, just win out our division and we`ll do good.

  42. daddybronc says:

Sorry Bay – after 2pm it got miserable cold with blowing ice chips. The kids were all in the lodge. Only me and my 15yo and 21yo sons kept going till almost 4pm. The snowboard worked well though. My knees hurt but work this morning. Pretty scary getting off the hill.

  43. canadasbroncfan says:

snowing like a bitch here in winnipeg. My Blue Bombers are in the grey cup tommorow so I have a built in reason to start drinking at 900am on a sunday. Wife cant even get mad at me haha

  44. baylinorcrush says:

    Yeah, that was weird…

Ten broken bones, triple tbia an fibula break resulting in one leg over an inch longer than the other, shot lower back, shot neck, major arthritis, ruptured femoral artery, drop foot, an early life of extreme sports will do that for you, now it’s just moving from position to position so the pain ain’t too bad, hence I’m always out of bed at 6 am. It used to hurt getting out of bed, now it kills me to stay in one, LOL.

  45. strandoftds says:

I bet painkillers don`t work anymore. Ouch!

  46. baylinorcrush says:

No need to apologize daddy, was just kidding, it has been 15 years since my life has radically changed, and if an uber active man like me can make the transition to a sedentary life anyone can.

  47. Louisianabroncofan says:

Well being in extreme sports is really cool tho, so you’ll always have that. I broke down because of hip dysplasia in both hips. Gotta get two new ones. No cool background story in that crap. However I was forced to quit working as a plumber due to it so I started a plumbing business out of necessity to keep doin what I knew & was good at and it does pretty well, I make a good living now. So like they say, when life hands you lemons…..

  48. strandoftds says:

My two sports were baseball and speed skating (Roller) back in the 70`s and 80`s in southern Calif. No injuries to report. LOL

  49. baylinorcrush says:

Actually painkillers are the worse because due to my neck injury, fell at 118 mph head first in the Speed Skiing World Championships breaking my helmet in two in the process, I have a major headache condition and painkillers exacerbate that like a beatch.

  50. baylinorcrush says:

Absolutely no regrets here, I have great memories and stood near the top of the world for a few years, which no disrespect to the blog was a lot more exciting than this, LOL, but now I gladly take whatever I can get.
