On the first day of free agency, the Broncos jumped right in the fray, adding guard Louis Vasquez in a move that could have an impact across the team’s offensive line.
In addition, the team has reportedly set up visits with four more free agents — cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, running back Rashard Mendenhall, defensive tackle Terrance Knighton and linebacker Stewart Bradley.
Below is a look at each one one of those players. Take a look at other available free agents with the DenverBroncos.com free agency primer.
DOMINIQUE RODGERS-CROMARTIE
Originally a first-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2008 NFL Draft, Rodgers-Cromartie was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011.
Including postseason, he trails only Asante Samuel, Tramon Williams and DeAngelo Hall in interceptions by cornerbacks since he was drafted.
Rodgers-Cromartie has 16 regular-season interceptions in his five seasons, four of which he has returned for touchdowns. He has also accumulated 208 tackles, 84 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, a sack and two blocked field goals.
Last season, Cromartie led the Eagles with three interceptions. The 2009 Pro Bowler turns 27 next month.
RASHARD MENDENHALL
The 25-year-old Mendenhall has two 1,000-yard seasons under his belt and came just 72 yards short in a third campaign.
However, a knee injury suffered in the final game of the 2011 season limited the running back’s productivity in the 2012 campaign. He was inactive for the first three games of the year before making his first start since the knee injury in Week 5. An Achilles injury held him out of four more games in the middle of the season, and by the end of the year Mendenhall had played in just six games, starting four.
For his career, the former first-round pick has 3,549 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground in five NFL seasons. He has also added 661 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
He took home a championship in Super Bowl XLIII with the Pittsburgh Steelers, coincidentally against Rodgers-Cromartie’s Cardinals.
TERRANCE KNIGHTON
Defensive Coordinator Jack Del Rio has plenty of familiarity with Knighton — a third-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009, when Del Rio was head coach.
Knighton all 16 games in each of his first two seasons and started 13 games in 2011. He has only missed three games due to injury in his career, which broke up his starting streak that season.
Last season, the defensive tackle played in all 16 games but started just five. Still, he ranked second on the team with 17 quarterback pressures and tied for the team lead with two forced fumbles.
The 26-year-old has racked up 259 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, nine passes defensed and an interception in his four NFL seasons.
STEWART BRADLEY
Bradley spent the past two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, playing mostly on special teams as a backup linebacker. He played in all 16 games during both campaigns.
Prior to his stint in Arizona, he spent four seasons with the team that drafted him in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in all 16 games as a rookie but graduated to full-time starter in 2008 when he paced the team in tackles for loss. He missed the 2009 campaign due to a knee injury that put him on injured reserve, but jumped back into a starting role in 2010 and ranked second on the team with 88 tackles.
For his career, Bradley has notched 228 tackles, three sacks, 14 passes defensed, three interceptions and a forced fumble, according to press box statistics.

nothing new on knighton or delmas
What about doom?
Amendola is in talks now with the pats
So far with signings of Louis Vasquez, Stewart Bradley, Wes Welker, with still meetings with Dominique Rogers-Cromartie, Louis Delmas, Terrance Knighton, With rumors of interest in Richard Seymour, Michael Turner, Sean Smith……i am happy happy happy
turner is a bruiser and with the signing of welker we dont need a 1000yd rusher
Denver never needed a 1000 rusher, no team does, thats just a luxury…we need some1 that falls forward, moves the chains, and plows into the endzone
Sounds like turner is a good fit, or trade for lagarette blount?
Kerry Rhodes was just released….dang yo arizona is about to make some big time moves!!!!!!!! they already released Adrain Wilson
@NC i actually posted something on NFL.com in regards to signing Blount, just before TB resigned him, and i got the cold shoulder from soo many “bronco” fans for even considering it…i still think it would be a great pick up,maybe a 4th,or 5th for Blount
Bruce Arians went in and cleaned house
ya he is a big power back that can block, needs to work on his hands but does have a 1000yd season under his belt be a good good pickup for cheap
I think alot of fans forgot the size of TD when he was here
Terrnace Knighton signs 2 years
Awesome good signing alot of beef in the middle
Denver is doing amazing so far
Now just to sign up DRC,possibly Louis Delmas…and a bruising RB
also wouldnt mind seeing another body at OLB
Ed Reed to visit texans
Denver signed Knight
Denver signed Knighton
Reed to texans would be a huge surprise
i wish denver would go after charles woodson
i think his age would be a turn away but he would be a good addition
where do you see that knighton signed. i cant find anything
i found it on nfl.com
John Elway put it up on twitter
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
#Broncos were in the market for a DT… and found one. Terrance Knighton (aka @Yougotroasted96) is getting his deal finalized.
and denverpost.com/broncos have info

@Decker…find it?
jennings is talking to the packers
i know i keep talking about it but really need to find us a RB.
depth of the draft i say we draft lacey in the first and get DL in the second
What are peoples thoughts on DRC?
@ D_Mob_ found it
I still say go chris ivory at rb or try and trade mcgahee for one. Who we would get…idk but worth a shot
well i cant really give any insight on the RB prospects coming out in the draft, but im still hoping for a Tuner,Jackson,Bradshaw,Blount,Ivory…. im just looking for any new name there interested in…anyone hearing any new names?
DRC or even Asomugha? I know Asomugha is older but may come cheaper.
Jason Hunter (LB) is now an Oakland Raider
i say give up mcgahee and our 3rd for a 2nd rounder and use that one on ivory, use out first rounder on another quality DL/DB pending who is available at 28 and then use our other 2nd rounder for the other best available, thoughts?
@NC if they could sign a solid DB would they hold off till draft on a RB or vise versa?
Honestly idk, it really depends on how much cap we have left for the year, cause if we loose doom like sounds like we might, it will free up an additional 12mil but right now i would say we are close to the cap we want to use on fa have enough for my a db or rb and then use what is left for out draft class of the year, so we will have to see what happens over the next few days
im like a crack head i need more denver broncos news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha
too many tabs of espn,nfl,broncos.com,twitter,denverpost,cbssports,foxsports,yahoosports…i need more!!!!!
