The Broncos’ drive began with the team’s longest punt return of the season, a 22-yard gain by Trindon Holliday.
On a designed screen pass, Peyton Manning threw it to tight end Jacob Tamme, who got behind a slew of downfield blockers to gain 23 yards.
On the next play, the Broncos picked up another chunk of 23 yards as Manning found the leading receiver on the day, Demaryius Thomas.
That set the Broncos up with a first-and-goal from the 5-yard line. After a Willis McGahee carry, Manning threw it to Eric Decker for the receiver’s second touchdown catch of the game. It’s the third time Decker has caught two touchdown passes in his career.
The extra point gave Decker a 31-7 lead six seconds into the fourth quarter.
Peyton Manning has a near perfect QB rating of 151.7. He is 19-of-25 for 280 yards with three touchdowns – his fourth straight game with a trio of touchdown passes.
