Broncos Bring Back Greisen

April 29th, 2010 - 4:43pm by Gray Caldwell

The Broncos on Thursday signed unrestricted free-agent linebacker Nick Greisen, who spent the 2009 season with the Broncos — on injured reserve.

The ninth-year player said missing the entire season was one of the hardest things he has had to endure in his NFL career, and he expects to prove his worth to his teammates and coaches in 2010.

“I came in here and I really had three or four days of training camp, and none of the guys really got to know me as a football player and what I can do on the field,” he said. “I actually have been in the league for eight years for a good reason — it’s not just that I’ve slipped through the cracks, but because I was able to succeed in the NFL and help teams win.

“Hopefully next year I’ll get that opportunity to prove to guys that I deserve to be here.”

Previously, Greisen has played for Baltimore, Jacksonville and the New York Giants. He has appeared in 98 regular-season games with 33 starts and five postseason contests with one start. He has amassed 305 tackles, four sacks, one interception, 12 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries in his career. He has also contributed seven tackles and four-special teams stops in the playoffs.

I want to go to a Broncos game (or anything) so bad. I’ve never been to an NFL game. Only 2 MLB games and that’s the only professional sports events I’ve been to. I go to lots of Montana Grizzlies football games, though.

    LOL no OC.

    That’s not me bro…….

OC, you compare your wife to your mom??? I guess we really do find out the mindset of some people on here…

I have to say its Orton, Quinn and Tebow in that order. If Orton can produce on the field this year and build on what he accomplished last year, it wont matter if he isnt our long term solution. He will be a free agent and can seek his own payday or long term job. Similar to the Marshall situation. The only way this scenario gets complicated is if Orton leads us on a deep playoff run…that is worst case scenario for McD! Im lovin it!!!! GO BRONCOS 2K10!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you don’t hold your mom in very high regard or respect her attributes enough that you would like to marry a gril that shares them.

Shows the mindset of people like you to….

  12. sndvl says:

If I married a grill, it would have to be of the charcoal variety!!!And definitely must, have a Bronco cover to protect it from the elements. And heck no, My mom is a Pittsburgh fan, my wife would most certainly have to be a Bronco fan….lmao

    haha.. good one sndvl..!!!
