True enough balin I think a win against the Chargers back on nov 22 would have made it easier. My oppinion ( and thats all it is just like yours) mabey EASY is something we don't need? If we wouldn't have been humiliated like that in front of our own crowd that sense of urgancy might not have come at the right time. All I have heard from the players since the beggining of the season is that they wanted to get off to a good start and play their best football from thanksgiving on ( not my words, thats from the players themselves and were doing just that!!.) Mabey the term Must Win game should be changed to turning point game because every game in a 16 game season is a Must win game until you lock up home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This is a game of one and done when the playoffs start ( so again must win). Another thing I was trying to point out is I don't think SD is as good as a lot of so called experts seem to think they are and I also believe they are feeling the heat from us breathing down their neck. Today in my oppinion (and I need to keep hammering that home) needs to be our TURN AROUND GAME.

Only time will tell, but I do remember a time back in the 1990's when a team from Kansas City won the AFC west and a guy named Alfred Williams told them they could keep that distinction because we were going to win the Super Bowl.

Thats History now but history somehow has a way of repeating itself just like I will now " THATS MY OPPINION LIKE IT OR NOT!!!"

Coach

While the sd game was big the one that is going to come back to haunt us that we really should have one is Washington. We would still be even records and the tie breakers still might have put us in front of SD. But too many games to still worry about to look in the past. A lot of things can happen. The real broncos just need to keep showing up. Good running, great defense and balanced attack.

Go broncos. so mad cbs isn't showing this game in my area. Off to the sports bars I guess.

Hey Bay. Good mornin'. The SD loss was a huge setback. How things could be so much easier today if we'd won. As you said though the only real "must" game is the one that will eliminate you. The game today is more of a "contender or pretender" game. Even if we lose and SD wins we will still be a wild card. A bad loss(totally outplayed) and we may as well not be there(the playoff race). Go Broncos! 23-20 Last second FG or OT FG. I hope we win.

coachemup, we lost our first must win game, so let's not lose our second today, but if we do, listening to your analogy in reverse (hard to win three against the same foe), we shouldn't have too much trouble winning our next must win game (third one, hard to lose three must wins in a row, hahaha). LOL.

Until you're faced with elimination, there always will be must win games, this is not the first one, nor the last one. We still need to win the division, we really need us and Dallas to step up big today. Wouldn't it been so much easier if we had won that SD game, even if we'd lose today and they'd beat Dallas, we would still be leading the division by virtue of the tie breaker. Sorry, coach, you can coach me until your blue in the face about that SD game not being a must win game, I don't buy it for a minute, but to each his own, no sense in looking back, we are where we're at, and hopefully that's still good enough to take the division.

Orange crusher: Copycat lol......... actually I don't mind sharing the spotlight if we can get the win. Baylin: My theory is "its not who you play but when you play them". We had already beat the chargers on their turf (in a dominant fashion I may add!) and that was at the end of our 6-0 run. Then we went on a 4 game skid with our last loss to san diego in a humiliating fashion to put our record at 6-4. It's very difficult to beat the same team 3 times in a season so if we were to face them again, EVEN as a wild card? I like our chances. The table can turn dramatically TODAY IF? (and there are lots of ifs) all the cards fall right. New England has been very IFFF'Y to say the least and we own them in the head to head battle. Cinncinatti has to play the Vikings in the metrodome (we own that tie breaker). San Diego has to play the Cowboys in Dallas yada, yada, yada.

Most important though is WE need to take care of business with the Colts today. If that happens the sky is the limit, and thats why I call todays game "OUR MUST WIN!!!"

Ok, I know this may be unrealistic, or a bit far fetched, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say Broncos 34-17. It'll probably be much closer than that, but everyone else is guessing a lot closer, so I thought I'd take a wild guess.

I wonder, however, if Hillis will join Bucky and Moreno for a three-headed monster. Sounds very intriguing to me, what do you guys think?
