Hey Broncos Faithful;
I hope you are all enjoying your summer. i don;t know about you, but today is Canada Day up here in the Great White North (meaning only 4-5 more months before snow), meaning it's July and training camps start this month. Personally, I can't wait. It has truly been the craziest off-season since the Broncos were losing Superbowls. With change came Championships and I can honestly say that I can another Superbowl team in the future.
It probably will not happen this year, but the play-offs are within reach (the west is weak and San Diego is ready to fall). Let's come together and put our faith in the new coach and the direction that he is taking the team. He comes from a background of winning and domination (the single greatest offensive team ever). The former coach had the same credentials and he led the team to two Superbowl titles.
To finish, I would like to say "Happy Independence Day" and that you are the greatest friend our country could ever ask for!
Go Broncos!

broncofan0510, you're incorrect about the Marshall deal. He STILL has upcoming charges to face with the Watley thing. It looks like he has the upper hand in the case but as we all know, the courts could surprise us all and rule against him. Should that happen, he could STILL be suspended. His hip is not sure to be at 100% (although they feel it will be, it still needs to be tested and he needs to see how it holds up after a hit). You can give him a contract but it needs to have clauses/conditions. You don't give away a long term contract with a ton of guaranteed $$ unless you are sure that he won't get suspended or have lingering affects from the hip.

tjnartw, you are right about mac and jay. most people seem to forget how all of this started, they also forget that jay would not pick up his phone to stop it. but we will be talking about this until .........
people also say we are the #2 offence, we scored 370 last year. if we are #2 than the bears are #1 b/c they scored 375 points last year. that imo puts ORTAN and cutler even. :( i was going to say more about cutler but i think you know already.

I see a lot of comments that I like and a lot of comments that I don't like. That's what is so nice about living in The U.S. of A. We are all entitled to our own opinions. But if I recall correctly McD. didn't initiate the calls to try to trade Cutler. He did listen to offers from other teams who were trying to aquire Cutler which po'd Cutler and so he is no longer a Bronco. Well too bad, as I watched almost every game last year and he made some very dumb mistakes last year, some that didn't cost the team because of bad official mistakes.

The Broncos shouldn't have even been in the running for West Division champs last year as they should have lost the first game against the Chargers. So as far as I'm concerned the Broncos finished 7-9 last year so if McD. leads the Broncos to a 7-9 record this year then we're better off than last year because he did it without Cutler. I'm more excited with what a lot of you are calling Orton as a ball control QB as maybe there won't be so many interceptions and with shorter pass plays maybe there won't be so many sacks.

Call me an old fuddy duddy but I like being able to see the QB and the receiver at the same time on my wide screen tv. LOL

I love watching the Broncos win or lose and always will even if AL Davis was to buy the team but it would be hard to keep the tv on while they were showing his face.

Go get em boys and kick some royal butt. ORANGE CRUSH forever.

broncofan0510

now im sure its possible, but seems unlikely a special teamer is making 2.2 million a year. can you throw out a couple names? also, you know, these guys come out of college and sign a CONTRACT. that is a binding agreement. brandon has 1 yr left on his. and if in that year he can keep his production up, stay out of trouble, stay healthy, and stay team oriented, then there is not a doubt in my mind that he will land a contract with the team that will make him happy! but until then, he should just suck it up! he made his bed (signed the contract), now sleep in it and just be happy he gets to play a GAME for a job!! thats all i have to say about that!

Goodell reduced his suspension because there was evidence that he was innocent (like charges being dropped, a hand written letter from his ex saying he didn't hit her, AND his word). PAY THE MAN, or trade him... at this point I can't take anymore bs on this team! dammit!

broncofan0510: the charges were dropped by his fiancee, they haven't been dropped by his ex-girlfriend. That is still going to court. And if it does and he gets anything, I have no doubt Marshall will serve a lengthy suspension after they reduced it last time cuz he promised it wouldnt happen again.

I'd hardly call Marshall a "Man", give the "kid" a new contract with a bunch of clauses and get his butt to training camp.

Broncfalls:

Sinc you don't seem to think that 2 years of 100+ catches + yardage is enough to get you paid more that 2 million a year then you are crazy! There are guys that don't even start in this league and that are special teams players that get paid more than 2 million a year. I think that Marshall is worth a new contract. He's isn't getting suspended by the league because the charges were dropped. A pro-bowl receiver in the NFL only making 2 million dollars a year is just play crazy and I understand why he feels that way! PAY THE MAN!
