The Broncos were awarded wide receiver C.J. Jones off waivers from Kansas City, the team announced on Wednesday.
Jones is a third-year wideout who has spent time on the active roster with Cleveland in 2003 and the practice squad with the Browns in 2003-04. The move reunites the 5-11, 195-pound receiver with Head Coach Josh McDaniels, as Jones spent time on New England’s active roster in 2008 and spent the entire 2007 season on the Patriot’s practice squad.
Jones played collegiate ball at the University of Iowa. A two-year starter for the Hawkeyes, Jones totaled 72 catches for 902 yards and 10 touchdowns in 24 games. During his senior campaign, Jones set an Orange Bowl record when he returned the opening kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown against USC.

I just want to say that Pat Bowlen is the greatest owner in sports. I have been a fan for 32 years I don’t care if he trades away our best players it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that Mr. Bowlen sells out Invesco. I don’t care that Mr. B hired a 33 year rookie head caoch and an equally inexperienced GM becaues I love this team. I don’t mind that we draft Knowshon Moreno because we really didn’t need Defensive players its going to ok. We are going to ride the golden arm of the Big O and we have the big D Dawkins who is better than 35 year old sliced bread. Oh I want to stay current we know that CJ Jones is going to be better than the beast that #15 guy. This is the best franchise ever I am proud to support this team. I think it is so special that I got to post first.
Go Broncos.
Bronco Power
Bones1965 your my favorite poster because everything you say is so right and so believable. I think one day you could write for the National Enquirer. I think its so special that I get to post right after you
LOL.
This post is especially thick with wit and sarcasm. Bones and Deify, I comment you both on your polished wit and gentlemanly demeanor. Its truly special to be in the position to comment and commend.
On a more serious note, this guy was waived from KC right…so why did we sign him?
Is there gonna be any post’s concerning info on Brandon Marshall? I for one am convinced he will be gone. He’s got loads of talent, but can’t keep his stuff together off the field. Give him a contract full of clauses, trouble clauses that is. If Brandon is so sure he will stay outta trouble he will sign it. I really don’t want to see him leave, but hey other teams in the league have WON with lesser talent.
GO BRONCOS!!!
how do u award a player never heard of it sorry just haven’t please tell me
McDaniels is a Patriot guy. The Patriots philosophy is “do your job.” If you don’t do your job and do it with humility and be a part of the Patriots you are gone. Well Brandon will probably be gone. Kinda sucks but on the other hand who cares. Lol Denver hasn’t been to the playoffs since he and wonder boy started. Now wonder boy is a bear and where the beast goes only the owner and coach know. But the Patriots did win 3 Superbowls with receivers named Troy Brown (not as tall, fast, strong or naturally talented and gifted.) Deion Branch ( better than Brown but still not as talented or as big as Brandon Marshall.) A couple of other guys that I can’t even remember their names? That’s the point. They can win without Cutler and Marshall and the Broncos will also. Or at least that’s what the coach is saying. We’ll see. I don’t like the schedule we have this year but I think this seasons failures will allow Denver to get good draft picks and next year with rookie Tom Brandstater a year under his belt learning the Patriots QB philosophy I wouldn’t be suprised if he starts and Denver takes off then. Have patience. Belichick’s 1st year as a Patriot coach he won like 4 or 5 games. His second year their they were deemed the worst team in the NFL. All they did was win the Superbowl with a tall, skinny 2nd year QB named Tom B. Sound familiar? This year Denver wins 4 or 5. They really see their weaknesses draft and replace those wholes and Tom B. will have a year in the system watching and look out NFL in 2010. Or Denver struggles and flops until Bowlen gets tired of the Patriot soup he’s being fed and cans the new guy after a few years. Lol either way you’re either a fan or sell your Broncos stuff now on ebay and change teams and root for someone else. But if you do that you could end up cheering for a lameduck and that’s when the Broncos do become the next Dynasty for the next decade like the New England Patriots and you’ll be kicking yourself saying Darn! I bought all of this Arizona Cardinals gear and Kurt Warner got hurt and they’ve went back to being the same OLD CARDINALS and well you know the rest of the story. Lol. Oh boy that scenario runs through my mind only because a friend at work left the Broncos because he’s AFRAID they’ll suck and his wife is a Steeler so now he says he’s a Steeler because his wife FORCED him to be. Lol what a cop out. I wish he would at least be honest and say screw the Broncos but not jump ship because his wife said so. Crazy man. Lol Broncos to the end. Lol
You all are full of prunes. I for one have to see the work of Mr. Mighty! So far, I am not impressed. But I have been wrong before. Love the Bronco’s, will miss a lot of the “old” bronco’s, but that is progress I guess! We will see!
I like your way of expressing your self cgyj and you are right! I am not a fan pf Belichick, but he isn’t the Bronco coach! Just hope Josh don’t have the mean and nasty desposition Belichick has and not “push” people around literally! will always keep the Bronco’s stuff!
McDaniels isn’t Bilicheck and the Broncos aren’t the Patriots. I hope it all turns out well, but its hard to see the positive in a lot of whats gone on
Not sure what will happen, but I do know, Broncos will surprise alot of people. My Denver Bronco room, it wil lalways be ORANGE AND BLUE!!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!
Just think we drafted a QB that has a name Tom B. WOW what a coincidence or what, Look out NFL we are back!!!
this team is a mess the fans deserve better than what will be put on the field this year
Awarded? What the? Is he the “Just In Case B-Marsh is Gone” award?
I haven’t been able to post for a while, but have still been reading. Many fans are saying the team wont be good, and this and the about McD, etc, etc… I said it weeks before and cgyj said it again. Soon the Broncos will be a dynasty, just how the Patriots are. We don’t need dominating players, and the Patriots are evidence of that. Again like cgyj said they had mediocre Receivers for years, who were very effective with New England. They left and now look, no one remembers them. I see a 10-6 record on the horizon and a possible playoff run. With McD cutting the dead weight, and having many options on all positions on defense, I feel like the best team will be out on the field. And hey maybe it’s not a playoff year, but look at how young the team is. We have 2 Franchise LBs, a future shutdown corner, a future play making safety, and a future punishing safety. Not to mention to of the best tackles in the league who have only 3 years under their belts combined. A running back who has the potential to be better then TD? And a QB who like cgyj said is coincidentally named Tom B. I see many great years in the future, and I will never leave this team (Unless Al Davis were to buy the team). I cant wait for the season too begin, and I think Orton will do an awesome job, because last year he only started to emerge as a good young QB, who is still the same age as someone named Jay Cutler. Lastly as I recall, the last time Pat Bowlen Hired some Hot Shot offensive minded young coach, I think we ended up winning 2 superbowls soon afterwards.
So if you don’t want to be a BRONCOS FAN, then find a new team, sell your gear. But when the team emerges as a powerhouse for years, please don’t come back and act all chipper saying the Broncos are great. That job is reserved for the devoted fans who stuck with the team through thick and thin.
GO BRONCOS!!!
And if Brandon Marshall doesn’t want to be in Denver then good riddance, We have a great receiving core with or without him, with a lot of young guys who I am sure are hungry to jump into his place, because someone wants to be the Randy Moss in the new Denver offense. If he straightens his head, and realizes what he can do with this team, then welcome back. No player is bigger then the Broncos organization, so start thinking straight and hurry to get back on the field!
GO BRONCOS!!!
Oh and Waivers mean that their is an order in which a player who is on waivers can go to a team. for instance the Lions could be the 1st team on the Waivers list and the Broncos the 2nd. So if a player was waived, then the Lions would have the first opportunity to sign that player, but if they do not then the Broncos would be able to. A player who is released by a team basically becomes a free agent, can visit teams and sign with the team of his choice. It is very complicated but that how it works, Hope this helped!
GO BRONCOS!
If Marshall thinks about things rationally, it’s obvious he will want to be here. Whether he likes it or not, he’s a slave to the situations he’s been part of off the field. Under the Goodell regime, that causes teams to proceed with caution around him. If he takes care of business on the field and doesn’t make it rain off the field then he’ll get the huge contract he has sought for. Until then, I think he’ll really have no choice but to come to training camp as the Broncos hold all the leverage.
BroncosLAX is so right to all you bad bronco fans you go find a new team all right, because Broncos LAX said so. All you bad fans out there you are not allowed opinions because you are bad and how dare YOU QUESTION THIS TEAM now stop it.
man, am I ever tired of reading all of the post that won’t give anyone a chance. MAC or KO, or any of the players we picked up in FA. then the draft comes up and all i hear is we didn’t improve our d-fence. now it’s back to picking on KO and he is not Brady, Manning or cutler. NO he is KYLE ORTAN. he cannot throw the ball 80 yards, no one can. MAC is not Shanny, he is a man that was brought in to fix what was wrong with the BRONCOS and make them a winning team. they don’t need a bunch of south ends of a north bound horse saying how bad or worthless thes are. if you cant back the broncos then you should go back 50 years when the fan loved the broncos for what they were, not how much they could brag to their friends on how good they are or the great season they had. ya it is good to go in and talk football around the coffee pot after a win. but in the end there is only one winning team the other 31 teams are just not winners.
All of you na-sayers are short sighted. the way to build a team is by getting one good player, then a better one after that, then if you are lucky you end up with a great one. the broncos have had some great ones. but not everyone wearing orange is great. it is a one step at a time thing. this is not fantasy football this is real life. we (fans) loved and suppored our broncos when they lost by 25 or finished with a 5 or 6 win season and the only thing we asked for was hope for a better year. we weren’t a bunch of cry babys.
Who is a cry baby all of us are crazy enough to write on this blog love this team for better or worst that doesn’t mean we can’t complain about the worst off season that I have seen since I have started being a fan in 1976. I don’t like how the off season has been handled. They may be bad or good you have know idea.
Potentially Losing #15 is not cool and I don’t like his attitude either and it makes me sick when Jay Cutler goes on national Tv to say he talks with Marshall and wants him as a bear.
I don’t like the San Diego Chargers the softest football team and town in this league. This is the Denver Broncos fans should expect them to win.
yes, we expect them to win, but you have got to give them a chance to make the changes. some will be right and some will be wrong. but you (maybe not you) have already put a dunce cap on EVERYBODY involved with denvers front office and all the players. if you go to: denverpost.com/broncos/ci_12281980 and look half way down the art. it will put a new spin on things. if won’t change any thing but it will inlighten you.
we have not lost BM. but only JOE ELLIS has any kind of a clue what is going to take place.
Bones 1965 that was the first year we had a desent team. but while you were still thinking about comming aboard i was supporting them when they made A good play in A game. Lord knows how many beers we had if they won a game. my point is look for the good to build on and not the bad. broncolax had some very good things to say about out future.
Hey fellow Bronco fans. Ive been a fan since I was 8 years old. I picked them to win Super Bowl XXII, we all know that turned out. Then to have liberation in Super Bowl XXXII. So I too like many of you have been through the ups and downs with this team. Never once though have I tought about “”jumping ship”, even after this off-season. Ive only known 2 coaches and 1 1/2 great QBs in my whole Broncos fan life. The 1/2 being Cutler. Needless to say Im scared to death of this season, but still bleed orange n blue. So here is to the newly formed Broncatriots. Guess we better add a lil red, white n blue to the ol blood type huh?
TheRoyalBeast, I disagree completely, McD deserves support, and i am with him till he is no longer a bronco. Even if we go 0-16, i will support him, I support this team, i have for the past 20 years! As long as he has a bronco cap on, i support him cause he is apart of the TEAM. And i cheer for the TEAM.
And this season will be interesting to say the least, but think about what McD came to, a team that didnt play well together, behind a punk kid who thinks he is a savour, and a bunch of disgruntled players. I would have done the same thing, and B-Marsh, get him outa here, if he is going to have a hissy fit over a contract then he doesnt belong here, his numbers were only great cause all we did was throw the ball, all of his numbers are misleading. He wont do as well where ever he goes. And keep in mind Bowlen gave Shanny a DECADE to do something with the team and he did nothing!!! so McD is here to stay for a while, so lets get on board and cheer for our team, its gonna be fun to watch over the next couple of seasons, cause we will be in the super bowl before we know it!!
Go BRONCOS!!
What happen to the last offensive coordinator that was suppose to be so great that left the patriots under Bill Belichek? Anyone…? He went to coach a college team, Notre Dame, and hasn’t won a thing WITH A COLLEGE TEAM PEOPLE! So just because this dude came from New England and all of that hoobla doesn’t mean nothing to me! He comes in with this tough guy attitude and trades away a 25 year old pro bowl qb for nothing pretty much and now may end of doing the same thing with a 25 year old pro bowl wr! If he does do that I really feel sorry for the guy because his stay in Denver won’t be long at all.
I believe in the “team” concept. However, I think you need great players on that team to elevate the level of play of average players. The Patriots didn’t win superbowls with a team full of average players, the convienced great players to buy into the “team” concept. I don’t see that happening here. Signing lots of average players that believe in the “team” concept will not make this a great team. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst.
I agree with imready. This is it simple and plain, when the patriots were winning those superbowls they had a top 5 defense (which is something we don’t have). Tom Brady was not throwing for 35, 45 or 50 touchdowns in any of those seasons! My point is that with Mike Shanahan, Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall together we had the number 2 offense in the league! So how can you blame it on either one of them??? If we score 28-31 points a game and the other team scores 35-40 then we lose! Simple as that.
If ANYONE went to the Broncos Fan Fair, then whom ever went would’ve felt the electricity in the stadium. It was the most awesome feeling I have felt there in a long time. For any Broncos fan…..OUR TEAM WILL DO GREAT THIS SEASON!!! Being optimistic pays off in the long run. It isn’t that McD didn’t think Cutler was a great QB…he obviously didn’t fit in the scheme he has going…he’s the coach, he knows what he’s doing! Keep the faith!!! Marshall on the other hand…he just needs to stay outta trouble off the field. Great W/O on the field and will fit McD scheme but crap happens! If the man wants to leave, then let him leave. If he is forced to stay then he can ruin the team, bring morale down…kinda like another T.O. Jones is a good addition…already knows McD and the system he wants to run. BRONCOS FAN 4 LIFE!!!!
Thebroncoguy - I’m with you…. JJ as well….
How do so many of you (negative-should-be-Raider fans) think that Mr. McDaniels has ANY say in keeping, trading or giving a raise to Brandon Marshall - he’s not the GM!!!! (or the owner) - seriously, how are you going to come to this awesome team’s website and even hint at your dissatisfaction with the proceedings, because I’m sure you naysayers know EXACTLY what it’s like and what it takes to run an organization like this…. I forgot, if you hate the Broncos, you must be an expert (see almost any MSM thread for examples)
Just because Josh came from NE, does NOT mean OUR team is going to ‘turn into the Patriots’ - Seriously, learn how to truly be supportive, or go talk to your Raider fan friends about how much you dislike the Broncos decisions - don’t come to where FANS of the TEAM should be, please… Josh is Our BRONCOS coach now, and until he isn’t, HE’S A BRONCO!!! Have you EVER heard of the golden rule - how would you like it if you were the new HC, came to the place where you thought resided, some of the greatest and most supportive fans in the NFL, and read all this BS about how people hate you for no LEGITIMATE reason? Do you know him personally or something?
Sorry I had to vent, I intended on replying to this post and thanking Zach profusely for the update, which I still do… But reading just how ill-advised and childish some of Our ‘fans’ can be is really disheartening and I had to attempt to discourage the idiocy. Or at least give a laugh to all the TRUE fans (hopefully).
Again, go root for the Raiders, or get on board, there is NO IN BETWEEN!!!
BRONCOS ’til I die! (unless Al Davis bought the team, like someone hilariously pointed out above)
Broncos…SB bound! A person can hope, dream, wish! Luv da Boyz!
PJ…U were right on target! It’s disheartening to see so called Bronco Fans bashing the team they claim to be fans of! UUUGGG….All of us NEED to stick together to boost the fan morale! Reading crap like some of the above brings a person down not to mention ticks me the heck off. If you’re not with the Broncos and bash the decisions made by OUR HC then go somewhere else…..I guarantee that when Da Boyz start winning games, all of ya’ll whom talked trash will eat your words! Peace out!
I agree with all of this. The only thing that I don’t like about McD is that he let our star qb go. Yes he isn’t the GM but if he would have talked to hiim and said that I want this qb on my team or I want this qb to lead us to the promise land then im quite sure that he’d still be with us getting ready for another pro bowl season but since he’s not then oh well. We will get back to where we need to be but it isn’t going to happen overnight and that’s understandable. We have a lot of young talent coming in which gives me high hopes on our future! I just want everyone to watch out for my friend “Lee Robinson” #51 Linebacker from right here in Mississippi from the same college that Steve McNair, Donald Driver and Louis Green came from! ALCORN STATE! GO BRONCOS!!!
fan0510, cutler is not with ‘us’ becouse he would not return bowlens calls. and bowlen put his foot down.
All the Doom & Gloom:
I am still a little lost on why many people are saying Denver is done and this teak is headed in the wrong direction?
Last time I looked we were done BEFORE Mcdaniels came here. Being ranked 28th in defense near 21st in offense scoring red zone? near the bottom in rankings on Special Teams and poor free agent picks and more poor drafts than good ones.
Yea so we are headed in a new direction and why would we want to keep following the past direction? I for one am happy for change. Yes McDaniels will make mistakes but before you start pointing them out make sure you look at all of Shanahans. He had more power more experience and yet made more mistakes in drafts and free agent pick ups than most coaches. He had years to fix this team and he didn’t. He was a terrible G.M. and thats why he is not here. He fired 4-5 defensive coaches and still had no answers. Well the answer is he acquired poor talent. All the coaches were fired the G.M. fired and the only constant is Shanahan himself. Lets give McDaniels time. This team is not bad because of him and it will take time to fix it. Hey it took Shanahan how many years to allow it to fall apart? Don’t expect it fixed in one off season. But before you bash the new coach go back and look at what the last coach failed to do to help this team. McDaniels should not have to fix a defense that is ranked 28th. He has to waste the teams time and the fans time to correct a issue that Shanahan allowed and could not fix.
Buenas Dias!
and good morning.
Great passionate posts. I love it! I am sure imready and bones1965 love the Broncos as much as the rest of us. There are always skeptics outt there that need proof before they develope faith in something. Here is the deal, win or lose, I am going to follow the team, watch the games, cheer and buy thier gear, cause this is my team. I sure hope they win or at least beat the Chargers. You are right Bones, they are the softest in the league. Lets wipe that smug grin off of River’s face. He needs a little more dirt on his jersey this year!
Go Broncos! I wish I had some season tickets. can’t waith for July to roll around for training camp. Till then……ORANGE CRUSH!!!!!!!!!!!
One more thing to vent on:
Marshall, You are a great W.R. and I for one would love to have you on this team. You can be a good player and still not be a good person of character. 14 run in’s with the law in 4 years? It takes being strong both on and off the field. You also have the right to have your doctors look at your hip. But at some point you will have to allow Denvers doctors or even a doctor outside of Denver give another opinion on how or if your hip has even healed. You want Denver to pay you millions of dollars and yet you are one mishap away of being suspended for a large part of a season. You still have to go to trial for your last issue. Let me ask you, Would you hire someone and pay them MILLIONS knowing they have had 14 issues involving the law and are still facing a trial? Would you do this not knowing if they were healthy? BE HONEST. I for one would want to see you make it say 1 year without getting in any trouble.
Your issues go back to UCF. Was it not you who stirred the pot on New Years Eve? I think you have to grow up and be a better man off the field not just on it. Once you do that I would pay you whatever you asked.
Oh yeah.
DynamicDave abandoned this blog and my “bronco fans only” fantasy football team on yahoo- Bronco Country id# 62034 password: orangecrush
So the team is pushing on without him.
So if any of you free agents want to join, I will take you….waivers or not.
See any parallel here? The team, our team, needs to push on.
Step to the plate rookies and free agents! we need you to pull together, work hard, and focus on winning! We will support you…down by 15 or up 20. We prefer up by 20.
Orange Crush in 2009!!!!!
Well said Miami Mike!
Sure we want talent on our team. Who wouldn’t? But I believe a team built on a foundation of good character will win in the long run!
LOL!
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DON’T LIKE THE PATRIOT WAY, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MINDS?
I DON’T CARE HOW THIS TEAMS WINS AS LONG AS THEY WIN!
Why do some of you get caught up in winning a certain way? It sounds like you want this team to be built to YOUR likings! Isn’t winning the end result? The formula for winning is for ever changing it seems.
All I know is this, McD has a PROVEN record of winning and winning it all! MORE THAN THIS ORGANIZATION EVER HAS! AND WITH MUCH LESS!!
WHY WOULDN’T WE WANT THIS GUY ON OUR TEAM!
GET A CLUE! You think this guy knows nothing about football? Well who’s judging him, watchful experts like you and I? …….yeah that’s what I thought.
Let’s do each other a favor, let McD coach the team and you and I will cheer them on!
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
Thanks Home Team,
I know I can get on a roll but I am just tired of all the negative comments and complaining. I know we all have a right to voice our opinion and mine is only one in many. My ONLY gripe with the complaining is (we have not played a single game yet). Why complain and bash Denver before you see what plays out. We will have a rough year just based on the schedule that fell on us of all times. But based on the collapse of the last 4 games last year and the issues we had prior isn’t it time to give this coach a chance?
We will need more than one draft and one off season to fix this. It’s awesome to see people hear post from the heart and offer reasons to why they feel as they do. The fans on this site really need to show The Denver Post site what it’s all about. Thanks for allowing me the chance to vent. GO BRONCOS!!!
I don’t get how people can get worried about our team before we even start preseason games. Look at Miami last year, New coach (With strong opinions),Tuna and all of his attitude and personality. Just like McD. Then they trade away or released franchise players in Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas and then bring in a QB that has been questioned his whole career. Sound familiar? How many game did those “experts” think they were going to win? Just a handful? How many did they win? 11. I’m sure the dolphin fans were going crazy all offseason. Whining about this and that. So all you doubters out there, why don’t complain when there is actually something to complain about. Because right now we have the same record as everybody else…… 0-0-0.
Nice Post MiamiMike:
Last year when Peyton Hillis took over as RB I specifically told my pa that he’s the next great broncos RB, plus we make the playoffs Well, he got hurt and I knew it was pretty much over. You need a running game to score in the red zone. Hillis was definitely the type of jack hammer that could get the job done.
For some strange reason injuries plagued us last year and took away our running game and put a lot of holes in our defense. Special teams hasn’t been special since they moved Rick Dennison to coach the O-line. And special teams gave up a lot of return yards.
The only thing that worked was the passing game, and that’s because we had a very talented QB that could make something out of nothing.
I don’t like the new direction offensively. But I do like the new direction defensively. Hopefully Special teams is turning around too. We’ll all have to wait and see.
TheRoyalBeast: Shanahan basically cloned the Broncos from Bill Walsh’s San Francisco west coast system. McD is doing the same thing with Bill Belichick’s (who cloned from Bill Parcells.) This is a cloning league.
Too All that post here: Obviously we love this team with a passion and are dedicated to the idea of the Broncos success. We all have opinions good or bad, it doesn’t make us fake in anyway. I’ve posted both positive and negative, but just like @$$#0l3$, we all got them. Fans are like inlaws, they’re there to stay until you divorce them! HA.
Fan of the original #7 Craig Morton. :-p
Oh, did anyone catch that soccer game yesterday? GO USA!!!!!!!!!!

really funny video.
I like a lot of WR’s.
Fellow Bronco Fans,
If we go 0-4..or 4-0 in the pre-season none of us (or any of you negative people) should judge on this team. Let me remind you that we didnt do too great in the preseason in 05 and went to the championship..Also the Patriots went 0-4 last year and then went 11-5 with a rookie QB. MCD will do just fine..Everyone is worried about Orton, but we dont have shanny any more…We have a guy who molded an Offense around a guy who didnt take a starting snap since high school and went 11-5!! To me thats enough to give this guy a few years to prove himself…Ill be happy even with a .500 record this year because even though thats what we had last year, to me its improvement. I also think our defense will be great…I too am worried about Champ though, hes been too quiet with this whole release of boss..I know he realy wanted him here, and i would hate to see champ go…
Heres the bottom line:
At the end of last season what we as fans knew:
1. We have a superior, young, talented offence with a QB who was developing more and more every game/year
2. A stellar WR core with a huge weapon and a great 2nd receiver and slot receiver, and two TE’s who played big roles in the passing game
3. The best O-line in the league in terms of pass protecting
4. Peyton Hillis, a decent running game (dont forget all the injuries, thats why redzone numbers fell late in the season, remember how good we were when Pittman was running in the redzone)
5. A terrible defence, not exactly because of personnel, but a scheme that didnt utilize the talent to the best of its abilites, but still needed more to improve.
Now:
1. lost the star QB, yes STAR!
2. potentially could lose the beast of a WR, Eddie is a good WR but he is not a #1 receiver and either is any other guy on the team right now, and almost lost a great recieving TE
3. Still have the great O-line
4. Running game will rely on how well KM performs, we know the threat Hillis provides, but so does the rest of the league now
5. Still a terrible defense until stats prove otherwise. A couple FA signings to be excited about
Don’t hate on fans who are negative about whats happened this off-season, as a Bronco fan, i want the best possible team that can be put on the field! We had no questions or concerns with our offense, #2 in the league and very young! Now there are many questions and could be many more to come about our offense. You can say ‘McDaniels is a great offensive mind blah blah’, but wasnt Shanny considered one of the best ever?
All the team needed was to improve the defense to middle of the league in terms of numbers and performance to get deep into the playoffs and take over the AFC West for years, now a lot of us are sitting here scratching our head in confusion over what kind product the team is going to be put out this year. As low as ~5-11 or as high as ~9-7.
Royalbeast!
Pay Marshall???? I hope to God you never write paychecks for this team, EVER!
Many people have said this already. You want Marshall to get paid NOW! for what? 2 years of 100 + catches + yardage?
HE’S GOT A COURT DATE!
HE’S GOT A VERY GOOD CHANCE OF GETTING SUSPENDED THIS YEAR
HE’S HAD HIP SURGERY
Pay him for what?
Easy to say sign him, pay him when it’s not your money!
Come on, don’t be foolish.
I have NO PROBLEM with Brandon getting a new contract. However, I would load that contract with so many “stay out of trouble” clauses it would make your head spin.
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
