PREGAME:

We’re here at the Mall of America Field at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, and it’s a good thing we’re indoors. It snowed a fair amount yesterday and is currently just 24 degrees outside.

Both teams are enjoying the comfort of the dome, as they are warming up on the field. We’re about an hour and a half from kickoff so stay tuned as we keep you updated with all the latest info.

BRONCOS AT CHARGERS GAMECENTER: For play-by-play action and up-to-the-minute stats, check out the DenverBroncos.com Gamecenter. We’ll keep you updated here with scoring plays, drive recaps and all the fun bits and pieces you can’t get from looking at a box score.

BRONCOS ON TWITTER: Another option is to follow the @Denver_Broncos Twitter account. There are constant updates on there throughout the game. You don’t have to be on Twitter to read the posts, but if you are, you should follow the account for news throughout the week as well.

MILLER INACTIVE: Broncos starting linebacker Von Miller is inactive for today’s game after sustaining a thumb injury last week. Mario Haggan, who started all 16 games in both 2009 and 2010, will start in his place.

BRONCOS-VIKINGS GETS WIDER AUDIENCE: Today’s game, which starts at 12 p.m. CST, can be seen throughout the majority of the United States.

BRONCOS STOP VIKINGS WITH FUMBLE RECOVERY: As the Vikings were driving on 3rd-and-goal, safety Brian Dawkins sacked Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder, forcing a fumble which defensive end Jason Hunter recovered.

HAGGAN COMES UP WITH A PICK-6: Linebacker Mario Haggan, starting in place of the injured Von Miller, has given Denver the lead with a 16-yard interception return for a touchdown.

DUMERVIL DROPS PONDER: Defensive end Elvis Dumervil sacked Ponder, giving him 6.5 sacks on the season and at least half of a sack in five consecutive games.

FUMBLE LEADS TO VIKINGS FG: Willis McGahee’s fumble gave the Vikings good field position, but the Broncos defense held strong, giving up just a field goal as the Broncos now lead 7-5.

FIRST QUARTER SUMMARY: The first quarter has come to an end, with the Broncos leading 7-5.

VIKINGS RETAKE THE LEAD: Christian Ponder threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to tight end Kyle Rudolph to give Minnesota a 12-7 lead.

  2. jsizzla says:

    Von Miller is a man-child!!!

  3. OrangeTsunami says:

BT – I literally LOL on that Unrien comment…. Kodus!

  4. strandoftds says:

Besides Vaughn, Willis is the fastest player on our team. What do you mean Thomas`s speed over Willis, are you kidding me?

  5. OrangeTsunami says:

*kudos!! Laughing too hard to spell…

  6. strandoftds says:

I like D. Thomas but Willis is very speedy, no contest.

  7. Bronco_Turtle says:

maybe a faster 40… but that hasn’t translated into any kind of success… In game situations Thomas plays faster and stronger…

  8. Bronco_Turtle says:

    :o ) I do what I can OT!!!

  9. strandoftds says:

Blame that on the coaching staff. No biggy, we`re winning anyway, mute point, I`m outta here. Later kids!!

  10. Bronco_Turtle says:

It’s just now becoming apparent because DMT is just getting to full speed… He is a BEAST!!!

  11. OrangeTsunami says:

I just view Willis as a child playing in a man’s game… Just my opinion.. Maybe I’m being too harsh on him, and I would like nothing more than to be wrong.. Prove me wrong Willis!!!

  12. Bronco_Turtle says:

    Later Strandsky… Have a good one…

  13. Bronco_Turtle says:

Willis has good hands… runs solid routes… but as I said before, I don’t see him blossoming into more than a 25 or 30 reception per year guy… if he is happy becoming a possession reciever he will have a place here long term…

  14. OrangeTsunami says:

I could Willis being a Johnny Knox type guy someday (eventhough Willis is older than Knox). Good, but not great

  15. OrangeTsunami says:

Anyway, I’m just so happy that DThomas went off today, b/c if we get him going, man oh man….

  16. Bronco_Turtle says:

25 or 30 catches will be alot in a Tebow Led offense for a number 3 guy… I don’t see us really ever having 100 catch recievers with this offense, but that is quite alright… POUND IT POUND IT POUND IT… On O and D!!!

VON TEBOW FOOTBALL!!! I believe, and it feels soooo good!!!

  17. Broncos LAX says:

With Tebow recievers max is gonna be like 70 receptions not really a problem either

  18. OrangeTsunami says:

Well, given the fact that the WR position is synonymous with a prima donna, that may be the best thing for the “team” enviroment… No diva WR getting over confident b/c we fed them the ball too much and causing a scene – ala Marshall or Lloyd..

  19. OrangeTsunami says:

Although, I don’t blame Lloyd at all.. He’s getting up there, and he’s never had his big pay day and is running out of time .. I hope the Rams over pay for him, and he gets his, he’s a good guy

  20. Broncos LAX says:

Probably regrets asking to be traded though Optimus will prove it was ok to though

  21. pdp1408 says:

Finally my man D.Thomas gettin in the action. He definitely he has “megatron” capability.

  22. OrangeTsunami says:

The 5th rounder for Lloyd will turn out to be a good move.. Lloyd is 30 years old and wants a big contract.. With the rookie wage scale you no longer have to give draft picks crazy money..

  23. OrangeTsunami says:

Shrewd drafting is gonna be our motto going forward!! I hope our scouts are out there everyweek starting to put toghter our draft board baby!!! Never too early!!

  24. royalbroncofan1 says:

I hear you TRB… I was just glad he was able to step up today.

  25. Broncos LAX says:

Just like Tebow DT needs to prove all the haters wrong he started nicely today looked like BMarsh a little

  26. royalbroncofan1 says:

Anyone who’s playd the sport knows that at any given time, your # can be called. It’s what you do when you’re provided the opportunity. Some do it, some don’t.

  27. Bronco_Turtle says:

I don’t think Tebow needs to prove anything to anyone anymore… The kid is a winner, and He is a Quarterback that 90% of Bronco Country can get behind and sleep well at night knowing he is there to lead us into whatever stadium needs conquering… Can you imagine how crazy Mile High will be the next two home games… :o )

  28. OrangeTsunami says:

I can’t wait to see how many national games we’ll get next year.. 2 Monday night’s, a Sunday night, and a Thursday night would be my guess…

  29. FLBroncoGator says:

I’m not taking ANYTHING away from my Broncos, as a team, but anyone that gives John Fox credit and claims he’s a great coach is delusional. We were SUPPOSED to win today and we just BARELY scraped by because of our defense with how many turn overs again? How many times did we attempt the same stale run up the middle? Even on 3rd and 22? Thank God, McGahee produced on a great many of his carries. Eventually…your offense has to show up for a game and preferably, in the first half. Anyone still wanna say that Tebow can’t throw the ball? The FIRST thing we need to draft is an actual receiver. That said…Thomas definitely took a step up to the plate today.

  30. Broncos LAX says:

Man gator you are the only fan who thinks Fox is not good you and armadillo… The biggest Tebow lovers coincidently… I really like how Tebow is progressing but we are winning because of the defense and Coach Fox first… Tebow plays a big part but he can’t do it without the Defense or Fox

  31. OrangeTsunami says:

With Mark Schlereth, Tom Jackson, and Shannon Sharpe all prominent guys in the media, together with Elway running an NFL franchise, it kinda makes you wonder if there’s something in the water in Denver… ;)

  32. denver0723 says:

Just got back from Minnesota, and OMG! That game was awesome to watch live! Tebow looked so good today. He came out in the second half and you could tell by his demeanor he was a man on a mission. Loved the game today. No analysis, I just loved it. 5 in a row!!!! And Oakland lost!! Tied for first!

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  33. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Blaming Fox for the offense is pointless … he does nothing on that side of the ball except decide if we go for it on 4th down or not. He doesn’t select plays. All McCoy. And while I am not thrilled by the conservative calls at times … it has worked so far so there must be a method to the madness.

We wont run this O forever. This is something to tide us over while tebow learns … and he is learning well. We will probably run option less next year. I missed the first half but it was virtually nonexistent in the 2nd half of todays game.

    TRB

  34. Bronco_Turtle says:

Hi TRB… Tebow only had 4 running attempts on the day… It was nice to see him hitting targets all over the field… he really does have a very strong arm! :o )

    GO BRONCOS!!!

  35. TheHorseWhisperer7 says:

    Denver wins again.

What kind of irks me about the media and whatnot:
Q: If Tebow can succeed in the NFL with the type of offense were running?
A: Were running this offense because it give us the best chance to win right now and is a good way to ease Tim Tebow into passing under a conventional style of offense by only making him throw 10-15 times a game. If the options working, they go with the option. If the spread, i-fo
rmation, or 1 back set is working, they go with that. Its not 100% option by any mean, even though im aware that Tebow carried the ball more than any other qb since the merger, lol. Denvers not running the option, there running the Tebow.

    AND!
Is the media and everyone else that follows what they say blindly realizing that Tebow is getting better passing the ball each and every week(this week is the most obvious), even though they never talk about it?

Negative post kind of, but its just amazing how alot of people dont make alot of sense at times lol.

  36. Bronco_Turtle says:

    Quiet Day in Bronco Country!!!

    DMT….echo…. DmT, Dmt, dmt….

    TEBOW….echo…. TeBoW, TeboW Tebow…

LOL… Tried it at the Ranch today! It was so calm and quiet… 29 degrees below zero… Great sound bouncing off the mountains!!! -29!!! Freezes your breathe, and the cows hair!!!

    B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!!!
