KICKOFF: The Broncos will receive to start the second half. Demaryius Thomas is back deep to field Rob Bironas’ kickoff. He catches it at about the 8-yard line and fights his way to the 31-yard line.
Q3 14:55: Kyle Orton and the offense are back on the field, and on first down the quarterback dumps a pass off to Daniel Graham for a loss of a yard. On second-and-11, Orton finds Jabar Gaffney for a gain of 5. On third down, Orton finds Lloyd at the first-down marker, and the receiver hauls it in to move the chains.
Q3 12:55: Laurence Maroney is tackled for a loss of 3 on a first-down carry. Orton lines up in the shotgun and quickly finds Royal on second down, and the receiver follows his blocks, sprinting up the sideline for a gain of 41 yards to the Tennessee 20. On first-and-10, Orton pitches to Maroney, who is drilled in the backfield for a loss of 4. Orton fires a pass to Royal in the middle of the field to bring up third-and-8 at the 18-yard line. Orton drops back into the shotgun, takes the snap and fires an incomplete pass intended for Thomas in the end zone. There’s a flag on the play, however, for holding. The penalty is declined, so Prater jogs out to attempt a 36-yard field goal. His kick is up and in, giving the Broncos the lead once again.
BRONCOS 13, TITANS 10
Q3 10:30: Prater’s kick is fielded at the 2-yard line, and the returner, Mariani, is gone for a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Bironas’ extra point is up and in, and the Titans take the lead for the first time in the game.
TITANS 17, BRONCOS 13
Q3 10:19: Thomas is back to receive the kickoff, and he answers Mariani’s return by racing up the field all the way to the Tennessee 23-yard line — a 65-yard return. On first down, Orton finds Brandon Lloyd for a 5-yard gain. The two can’t connect on second down, bringing up third-and-5. Orton drops back in the shotgun, avoids one sack and runs into another Titan to bring up fourth-and-9. Prater is in to attempt a 40-yard field goal. It’s up and in, but there’s a flag on the play — offsides on the Titans. Since it was a dead-ball foul, Prater’s earlier kick didn’t count, so the kicker will line up again for a 35-yard attempt. But the refs blow the play dead before it starts — apparently for no reason. Finally, Prater lines up for his kick, and he coolly knocks it home to bring the Broncos to within one point of the Titans.
TITANS 17, BRONCOS 16
Q3 8:12: Mariani finds space out to the 33-yard line on Prater’s kickoff, which was fielded at the 3. On first down, Young rolls to his left and completes a pass for a 7-yard gain. Second down brings another pass from Young, this one lofted just over the outstretched arms of D.J. Williams in coverage to tight end Craig Stevens for a 16-yard gain. At the Denver 44-yard line, Young hands off to Chris Johnson, who is brought down after a gain of 4. Second down brings a pass tipped at the line of scrimmage and nearly intercepted by the Broncos — but a personal foul penalty is called on Mario Haggan for hands to the face, giving Tennessee a first down at the 25-yard line.
Q3 5:53: On first down, Johnson nearly escapes the defense and finds the sideline, but he’s pushed out of bounds by D.J. Williams after a gain of 2. Pressure by Dawkins on a play fake results in an incomplete pass on second down, bringing up third-and-8. Young lines up in the shotgun and rolls to his right before being sacked by Dawkins, bringing out Bironas for a field goal attempt — a 46-yarder. The veteran kicker narrowly makes it, increasing the Tennessee lead.
TITANS 20, BRONCOS 16
Q3 5:00: Thomas is taken down at the 22-yard line on the kickoff return. On first down, Orton lines up in the shotgun before handing off to Correll Buckhalter. There’s a flag on the play — offsides on the defense, pushing the ball forward 5 yards. On first-and-5, Orton hands off to Buckhalter again, and the running back picks up another first down. The ensuing play brings shifts on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, and results in an incompletion. On second-and-10, Orton quickly finds Jabar Gaffney for a 9-yard gain. On third-and-1, Orton is in the shotgun. He finds Lloyd, who dives forward for extra yards to the Denver 49-yard line.
Q3 2:23: After a run for no gain by Maroney, flags are thrown before a play can be run on second-and-10. It’s a neutral-zone infraction on the Titans, making it second-and-5 in Titans territory. It’s an incomplete pass. On third-and-5, Orton is sacked and the offense is called for holding — a penalty the Titans decline. On fourth down, Colquitt tries to get a punt away but the play is blown dead because “the umpire was out of position.” When he does get his punt off, Mariani called for a fair catch at the 9-yard line.
Q3 1:02: Two runs by Johnson net 5 yards — Robert Ayers made a big tackle on the second run — bring up third-and-5 on the 14-yard line as the third quarter comes to a close.
Q4 15:00: Young throws a pass to Johnson in space, but a gang of Broncos “have a party at the ball,” as Dawkins put it earlier this week, and take down the elusive running back after a gain of just a yard. Eddie Royal is back deep to receive Brett Kern’s punt, and he makes the first tackler miss, picking up 5 yards to the 30-yard line.
Q4 14:04: An offsides call on the Titans makes it first-and-5 for the Broncos. Orton hands off to Maroney for a gain of 2, and on second down, Orton gets the ball to Lloyd for the first down. The next play is another hand off to Maroney, who weaves his way through defenders for a pickup of 5 yards. Orton yet again finds Lloyd for a first down on the next play. The ensuing first down is a run by Buckhalter for a loss of 5.
Q4 9:49: Orton finds Gaffney for a quick gain of 4 on second down, but on third down he tries to find Lloyd and the pass is tipped and intercepted by Michael Griffin. Tennessee takes over at its own 35-yard line.
Q4 9:20: Marcus Thomas bullies his way into the backfield to take down Javon Ringer for a loss of 4 on first down. On second down, Young connects with Nate Washington for a 10-yard gain before the receiver is taken down by Perrish Cox. On third-and-4, Young tries to find Jared Cook, but Dawkins was there in coverage and it’s fourth down. Royal is back deep to field the punt, and he takes it to the Denver 30, where the offense will take over.
Q4 8:15: Orton lines up in the shotgun and finds Thomas for the rookie’s first catch of a day — a 9-yard gain. A Titan is down after the play.
Q4 7:39: On first down, Orton hits Gaffney for a 28-yard gain down the right sideline. Another Titan is down after the play. The Broncos have a first-and-10 at the 33-yard line as the Tennessee player walks to the sideline under his own power.
Q4 7:17: Orton lofts a pass to Buckhalter on a screen, and the running back follows his blockers for a first down at the 21-yard line. Orton is back in the shotgun on the ensuing play. He drops back and quickly fires to Daniel Graham for a 5-yard gain. On second-and-5, Orton drops back and gets the ball to Buckhalter, who is close to the first-down marker, bringing up third-and-1 at the 12-yard line. The crowd is on its feet as Orton hands off to Buckhalter — and the back is stopped short of the marker. On fourth-and-1, the offense is still on the field. Three receivers are to the right and Buckhalter is in the backfield. Orton keeps the ball on a sneak, and the crowd reacts like he didn’t get the first down. It’s close. The refs stop the clock for a measurement — and Orton got the first down. It’s now first-and-10 at the 11-yard line.
Q4 4:56: Tennessee has elected to challenge the ruling on the field of a first down. After review, the ruling on the field stands, and Tennessee is charged a timeout.
Q4 4:50: On first down, Orton lofts a pass to Lloyd, who dives for it but lands out of bounds. Second down brings a quick dump off to Buckhalter, who picks up 7 yards to the Tennessee 4-yard line. On third-and-3, Orton tries to find Lloyd in the back of the end zone, but it falls incomplete. It’s now fourth-and-3 at the 4-yard line, and the offense is on the field. Denver calls a timeout — its first of the half.
Q4 4:39: Orton fires to Gaffney at the back of the end zone, but the receiver can’t haul it in close to the ground. Tennessee takes over at its own 4-yard line.
Q4 4:33: Johnson takes a carry on first down, and he manages to pick up 3 yards. On second down, Young pitches to Johnson on a misdirection play, and the back makes it to the first-down marker before being pushed out of bounds. First-and-10 Titans at the 15-yard line. Champ Bailey walks off the field flanked by trainers.
Q4 3:30: Johnson is stopped for no gain on first down. Second down is another handoff to the back, who is met in the backfield by Ayers for a loss of 1. Denver calls its second timeout of the half with Tennessee facing third-and-11.
Q4 2:56: Dawkins pressures Young after a fake handoff, nearly getting his hands on a pass that falls incomplete, forcing a Kern punt. From the doorstep of his own end zone, Kern gets off a 40-yarder, which Royal returns to the Tennessee 49-yard line.
Q4 2:42: Orton finds Gaffney on first down for a quick pickup of 5. The offense gets back to the line in a hurry, and Orton finds Lloyd for a first down before the receiver steps out of bounds to stop the clock. At the 35-yard line, Orton finds Royal, but there’s a flag on the play — holding on Ryan Clady. That makes it first-and-20 at the 45-yard line.
Q4 2:07: Orton is sacked at midfield, making it second-and-25 on the other side of the two-minute warning.
Q4 2:00: Orton lines up in the shotgun and escapes a sack before firing a pass to Gaffney in the end zone — the pass falls incomplete, but there are flags on the play. Pass interference on the Titans in the end zone, putting the ball at the 1-yard line. Russ Hochstein and Zane Beadles are both in the game as extra linemen. Orton keeps the ball on a quarterback sneak, but Denver is called for an illegal formation — not enough men on the line of scrimmage. That makes it first-and-goal at the 6-yard line.
Q4 1:44: Orton lofts a pass incomplete on first down. Second-and-goal brings a completion from Orton to Buckhalter, and the back finds the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown. The crowd is silent as Prater knocks home the extra point.
BRONCOS 23, TITANS 20
Q4 1:31: Prater’s kickoff is short and bounces at about the 20-yard line. It’s misplayed by the returner, Mariani, and the Broncos recover their own kickoff at the 20-yard line. David Bruton is down after the play. He is helped off the field by trainers — and Denver is now out of timeouts, as any injury with less than two minutes remaining in a game costs the team a timeout.
Q4 1:26: Maroney carries the ball on first down, and the ball comes loose. There’s a scrum — but Denver retains possession after the running back’s fumble. Tennessee calls a timeout after what ended up being a gain of a yard for the Broncos.
Q4 1:20: Tennessee calls its final timeout of the half after Buckhalter picks up 3 yards on a run. On third down, Buckhalter takes another carry for no gain as the clock continues to run.
Q4 0:33: Denver takes a delay-of-game penalty to let the clock run down as long as possible, and Prater is in to attempt a 36-yard field goal. The kicker drives it through the uprights to give the Broncos a six-point lead. It’s Prater’s fourth field goal of the day.
BRONCOS 26, TITANS 20
Q4 0:28: Prater kicks it to the 12-yard line and Mariani gets out to about the 35-yard line — but there’s a flag for holding on the Titans. Tennessee now starts with the ball at its own 23. First down brings a deep pass from Young that’s nearly caught in spectacular fashion by Britt on the sideline, but the ball hits the turf for an incompletion.
Q4 0:16: Young fires a pass deep down the sideline, intended for Britt once again. The receiver is blanketed by Darcel McBath and Perrish Cox, but nearly comes away with the ball — it appears to go right through his hands. On third down, the Titans are called for delay of game. On third-and-15, Young launches the ball downfield, but the Broncos are there to bat it down and seal the victory. The 26-20 win moves the Broncos to 2-2 with a trip to Baltimore up next.

I’m not even going to address Maroney tonight, done enough work for now, I will address it tomorrow in the good bad and ugly. Time to watch more football for now.
I hope the Jaguars beat the Colts
well had a little time to digest it have read other comments and have an early post.
will follow Baylions lead by not posting the ugly now.
Just a few thoughts Even thoough the Oline gave up I think 6 sacks three were in the first quarter so I give it to them for keeping us in the game they got together and hung in there and made a game of it we threw 50 or so times so we realy needed them.
would have helped to have a running game to take preasure off but will deal with that later.
Our recievers are just awesome even Gafney even though I was curseing his name after not only runing out of back of zone but dropping ball.
And Game Ball goes to front line guys on D and the hole Defense.JUst an awesome game. Awesome they held CJ to 53 yards on 19 carries to where they just stopped going to him. Great defensive game I’m not sure about the scheme but will get to that tomorow lets enjoy a hard fought win.
Realy makes me happy we pulled this game out against this Deefense which is formidable and that run game which we shut down.
Gives me more than hope for the nest two games. Those teams are both beatable.
Now I actualy have expectattions.
that is fun
Great game Broncs….and a great play by the Brute, knocking the ball outta the Titans KRs hands on the last play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess Buck was our running game with 5 catches 38 yds and 1TD.
I guess McD turned us into an all passing team(just like NE)but as long as it’s a win,we’ll take it.The Titans have a great passD but we still beat’em by passing the ball.
BFE
this game was stressful but i like what i see. again our issues showed but theyre actually understandable to a point. the o line is killing us but they are young and will get better. dont know what to think about maroney. he looked terrible. put moreno in there and get this o line some much needed experience working together and that can lead to a pretty good run game. add that to this awesome pass offense and man we got something.
our d is plenty good enough to take us a long way when our offense comes together. like i’ve been saying we still look like a really good team that just has to do a few things better. our players are playing well they just need some time for the young guys to come around and other players to get used to playing in our scheme together. thats ‘cheerleading’ to some but reality to me. we still got a long season coming so lets hope we just keep getting better and better.
these next couple of games are huge and i think we can absolutely win them. all this 1-5 talk is baffling to me because i just see our team as better than that. i understand realistic expectations and all but man dont be suprised if we’re 4-2 after six games. and again as much as i may be ‘cheerleading’ some are ‘doomsdaying’ just as bad. so which worse? depends on your mindset i guess. as for me i’m with the ‘cheerleaders’- danso, bronco blaze, c.r, broncos born, etc…- all the way!! just hope we dont have another late season collapse like the last cupla years. man we’d never hear the end of it. i dont see that happening this time tho. lets win the afc west and push hard in the playoffs and see what happens. i bet good things.
Well Bay, that 1-5 prediction didn’t even come close to happening as it didn’t even last a week and we went 2-2, hahaha. The realistic thing is we have the potential to beat some of these really talented hard teams that we play against just like we did last year against the Cowboys, Chargers, and Patriots! It is not unrealistic at all for us to win any of these games. Haha, well I guess they are whenever you side with the dang analysts for ESPN who don’t know anything about football it seems like!!
But was a great game all the way down to the finish! I was at the game and it was amazing, definitely worth the 6 hour drive there!! I didn’t get to read yet and see why Goody didn’t play! I think if he would have played we would have won by more than 6 as they picked on Cox quite a bit in that game! Uh oh, I said “if”, please don’t kill me!!
But great game again and hopefully we have our running plan figured out by next week and also hopefully we have Moreno and Goody back as well!!
I love me some Broncos Country!!!
cant read any of the coments on 2nd half blog whats up
it says live blog ended
Freak30, you know very well I never “predicted” we would go 1-5, I even made perfectly clear to you when you brought it up last week. I simply stated that “the odds” were in favor of us going 1-5, as in Las Vegas odds, that’s all, however you chose to ignore it and put twists on things just to push your agenda, whatever that is. For the record, in my season record prediction I have us at 2-4 after the Jets game, 5-4 after the KC game at home and 9-7 overall. I have pretty much figured you out by now, if our team wins you are on here immediately following the win and for the rest of the week gloating and having big write ups about the game, but when we lose you are absolutely nowhere to be found the entire week. At least I’m big enough to be here regardless of the outcome of games, win or lose, right or wrong, because that’s what grown up people do. I have grown tired of your childish attitude and since I’m here mainly for fun and I have none with you, I will respectfully no longer address you and hope you will give me the courtesy to do the same. Thanks.
OK Baylin,do you think Maroney is that bad,or our run blocking stinks???
because Buck couldn’t run either.
Glad McD finally figured out when the running game don’t work it’s good to throw the short out routes 2 to Buck one for a 1st down and one for a TD.
BTW…..Lloyd is a freaking ballhawk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cut maroney! please! he looked terrible all the way around! i dont know how well any of our other backs would do but at least they can catch! he dropped at least 2 passes that should have gone for decent gains. unacceptable IMO. i also believe that if he wasnt a former patriot he would already be in the dog house with McD. if you are going to be a hard @$$ then you need to be that way with ALL the players. regardless of whether they were former patriots! so annoying!
keep on buckin broncs
THE BATTLE IS WON IN THE TRENCHES
rayjr26…….good point, but you forget McD brought in Maroney,so he probably will get more chances than say…HILLIS..WHO RAN FOR OVER 100 YDS AGAIN YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some one liners
Great come from behind win, That’s what good teams do! Orton is playing out of his mind this year. Our running game is atrocious, there is something fundamentally wrong with our schemes. We did a great job bottling up CJ0K. Our o-line was over whelmed by the titans at times. We shut them down completely on offense in the second half. Cox played much better in his second start. Brandon Marshall who?
I don’t understand why in the Hell McD promoted Tebow back to 2nd string, and still never seen playing time,if he dosen’t see ANY playing time this year he’ll be pretty much a Rookie again next year.He could at least bring him in on a few plays to get him game ready a little at a time, say 3 or 4 times a game.IMO
Now on to bigger and better things:
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly:
The Good:
“Important Orton”. Obviously the main cog in this McD machine, now the NFL leader in yards I think. I was a little concerned about him in the first quarter after the three sacks, last year he would of lost his confidence, but he kept a cool head and led his team like only true leaders can. He certainly earned his captain title in this one.
“Golden Hands” Lloyd, over 10 catches and 100 yards, the guy can snap anything out of the air, so nice to have a guy finally discovered after 8 years in the league.
“King of Slot” Royal, came thru big with also over 100 yards even so he shared punt return duties. However I don’t know how long he can keep that up, better find another option for punt returns, Royal belongs full time on O.
“Niffty Gaffney”, making the biggest non catch of the day on a bomb getting the pass interference call at the one which set up the winning TD.
“Lucky Bucky”, lucky to still be contributing catching 5 passes considering the injuries he’s had throughout his career. Scoring the TD was the reward for his tenacity.
The D overall, pretty decent against the run, much improved over last year to say the least, and ok against Young also he shredded us early, but pressured him with 2 sacks, absolutely loved the Dawkins one, great call by Wink, hopefully we’ll see a lot more of those safety/CB blitzes in the future. And mainly they didn’t allow Young to get away with big runs, very good contain.
The team overall, showed more enthusiasm, determination and all out effort than in any of the previous three games, which goes a long way towards telling me I might be falsely reading that a morale problem could be developping under McD, very relieved to see that effort.
McD is behaving very professionaly on the sidelines since after the first game of the season rant and that’s much appreciated. He also made great game adjustements after the three first quarter sacks going with the screens and quick out LOS passes to alleviate the pressure on Orton by making their D respect the short game. That was what turned the tide around in our favor.
Prater, 4 of 4 , lucky to have such a quality replacement for Elam.
Bruton “The Brute” saved the day with a great ST tackle causing a fumble recovered by Vaughn that sealed the win.
Great improvements in KO returns with inserting Demaryius in there, great way to utilize him at this stage, 4 returns for 144 yds!!! Another good move by McD.
Finally, we got all the good brakes in this game, specially with the refs, like that Johnson fumble which I think we would all agree was not, go figure! And on someone else’s field, but I’ll take it, haha.
What an exciting outcome. I sometimes wonder if my ole heart can take it. I was on my feet screaming at the tv the last few minutes. Wow what a fun win. I have been saying we are in a tough stretch and if we could steal one or two wins in the four game Indy-Jets stretch we would be in good shape for the season. I’m still hoping for 4-4 at the mid point and believe if we do that we can be at 10-6 and in the playoffs. Reading the blog near the end of the game I was surprised how many were condemning Orton and predicting 1-5 and when will we bring in Tebow. I just want to smile and say yee of little faith. I have been and I am a believer and we will get to the promised land. By the way I was dead on at 23-20 for the few minutes until we kicked the final field goal.
I do want to say I don’t question McD often but why did they call the time out with 28 seconds left in the half then kick the field goal and allow the Titans to get the tie at half time? If we had lost that would have been the game changer as we had to go for the touchdown instead of a field goal to get ahead late in the game. Just wondering what they were thinking?
The Bad:
As usual I’ll keep it short after a win, short for me, hehe.
The O line allowing Orton to get killed early and often and not creating running lanes all game long.
Nate Jones is definitely not what I had hoped for, plays way too soft too often.
Cox keeps being Mr. Jekyll and Hyde, great tight D coverage along the sideline on one play and it seems as if he was having a get together with the safety in the middle when they threw a TD pass on us in the corner, he was at least 5 yards behind that play when he recovered. I know it’s normal for a rookie but he is still a HUGE liability. Get well soon Goodman.
ST coverage was better but they reared up their ugly head on the 98 yd KO return for a TD, we got away with it this time, but like I said earlier everything fell into our favor this week, won’t always be the case though.
Hahah, okay Bay…
First off I wasn’t on right after the win!! The game was over around 4:00 and I didn’t post that until 2:00 in the morning because I had to drive home from the game in Tennessee that I went to! That is around 10 hours after the game until I got on, not right after! Also, you make no sense because I was on here talking about the Colts game last week whenever we lost! I was also on here talking about the Jaguars loss after the game! I will find the posts if you would like me to because I know how much you love having proof and going back and finding posts in previous blogs. I am not mad at you at all and wouldn’t like to argue with you. This all started when you said I was unrealistic for saying that I thought we would beat the Titans and that it was very unrealistic for us to be at 1-5 our first 6 games! What Vegas predicts its not reality, I don’t care what anyone says. They only predicted us winning only 4-5 games I believe last year along with everyone else! I am a true die hard fan of our team and am always here whether we win or lose. I have always seen that you post like crazy here just about every day but I cannot do that. I am not saying either that it is bad that you do, I would love to be able to talk to people on here every minute of every day and talk about my biggest passion which is our Broncos! I am in college and am very busy so I do not get to get on here every second of every day like you can! I never said you predicted that either, it just sounded like you really believed that prediction.
I do not get on here to argue with anyone! I feel like every person on this blog are a member of my family because we all share a strong similar interest! We should be able to discuss our differences and everything w/o the other person bashing the other because they do not have the same thoughts/ideas!! That is the ADULT thing to do! I wish to have conversations with everyone on here and get along with everyone!! If you cannot do that then that’s fine! I was just putting that out there just so you knew! I am not mad or do not have anything against you. Sometimes, our passion for this team can push us to push others which is what we have each done to each other! I have always liked our talks in the past and if you would like to stop those then that is fine!
I love me some Broncos Country!!
Great win by our boys! I knew it would be a tight game and it was awesome to see the Broncos pull it out.
Not sure if it was a horrible outing by Moroney, or the O-line just not creating any lanes, or a bit of both. Either way, he’s not the answer, or even a band-aid at this point. We need Moreno healthy and back on the field NOW!
What is the problem with our ST coverage unit? They have given up massive plays pretty much multiple times in every game so far this year. Is it scheme or lack of exucution? Your thoughts?
Big props to our run D for holding CJ to such low yardage. With the exception of that breakdown and huge run by Ringer, we kept the running game contained.
And a huge props out to Cox who is coming along nicely and was disciplined on that deep sideline pass and didn’t interfere with the receiver. That could have been disasterous.
Still baffled by the lack of execution in the redzone and on 4th downs. Any thoughts on that?
A very frustrating but exciting game to watch. Huge test coming up next week and I hope the confidence built by this game will help them prepare!
GO BRONCOS!
The Ugly:
What else, THE RUNNING GAME!!!!
What about Orton being our leading rusher with 11 yards!!!
What about Maroney carrying 11 imes for 5 yards!!!!
What about a total output of 19 yards on the ground in 20 attempts, a less than one yard average per carry!!!
And it gets worse every game… Obviously cataclismic size improvements are needed there, we are the laughing stock of the league right now, like the Titans completely paid no attention to our running game whatsoever, good thing McD came up with a way to counteract that with his screens and out passes.
And Maroney is a total joke that’s why in N-E the fans were so psyched to see him go, just like the Cleveland fans with Brady. I swear this guy’s hair locks get in front of his face masks when he dances around half way blinding him, maybe all he needs is a pony tail, LOL. And he got so lucky on that fumble that nearly was, we got away with a quick 7 points there, luck was on our side no doubt.
Also Bay, I would like to add to your bad and say that our running game was ABSOLUTELY horrible!! I cannot believe that Orton was our leading rusher! I do not know really what we have to do to fix that! I am hoping that whenever Moreno gets better that it will be much improved but that is something that we will have to wait and see! I wished that McD would’ve put in Andre Brown yesterday to see if he could have done better!
And also, Hillis put on another good showing yesterday with 100 yards and a TD for a win against the Bengals!
Yeah danso you are correct watching the game at the sports bar we were baffled by that time out we took before the half that allowed the FG, anyone knows what that was about?
Yea I had gotten up from my seat whenever there was around 30 seconds left in the first half and came back right at half time and found at that they made a 55 yarder! I couldn’t believe that he made that whenever he missed like that 25 yarder before! That was so sweet!
I also have to add in that Prater did an amazing job and nailed every FG that he attempted! There have been so many kickers having problems with their kicking and Prater definitely looks like he’s on top of his game!!
Keep it up boys!!
I find it very interesting that last season when we couldn’t run the ball and relied on the passing game, it seemed to not work as well as it has thus far this season. For 4 games now we haven’t had an effective rushing attack. In all honesty if we had an effective rushing attack, we would’ve been able to run out the clock after the botched kickoff. That’s when an effective rushing attack is key…controlling the tempo and closing out the game. I just hope that something happens soon because Orton’s arm may get tired and if it does….we won’t be one dimensional, we’ll be no dimensional.
What else can I say that hasn’t already been said, the D really played well, and they played pretty well most of the game. Gave up that big run by Singler and Young, but containing CJ was the key.
McD said that was completely his fault on that timeout just before our FG. McD said he left way to much time on the clock for the Titans. I wish I could have taken that one back on the time out i called, bad mistake.
Thanks strandoftds, at least McD was honest and took responsibility, not a trait of his, I guess there was no way to hide from this one though, none of us could figure it out.
Out of curiousity, how many times was the Titans D offsides the hole game? They shot themselves in the foot on those offsides penaltys. As for the Bronco`s, we didn`t have a single false start on offense. Good for us.
Ya Bay, this was printed in the Denver Post this morning. I was curious about that myself.
strandoftds……BAD,BAD MISTAKE and UNEXCUSABLE!!!!!!!BUT i guess you live and learn,I don’t know why any coach calls a timeout with that much time, kicks a field goal, then gives the other team time to score.
Like Baylin said earlier, luck WAS on our side, but we’ll take the win.
Anyone notice that Clady gave up a sack and was called for holding twice???that leads me to think he’s not 100%,because he is the best.
BFE, did you go to the game?
Heck no,I lost out on the chance,my son broke his thumb in a motorcycle wreck.
Yes, I`m very concerned about Clady right now.
Sorry to hear that. Was he dirt biking? If so been there done that. Glad it`s nothing else.
Any news on Champs injury????
I hope Goody can go next week,Cox will be good, but for now Goody is a great compliment to Champ.
BTW…I thought they posted that Goody was good to go yesterday.
Yep dirt biking, riding wheelies,I told him he was gonna skin his butt.Only injury tho,so not too awful bad, gotta take him to specialist this afternoon,I guess for a cast.
Wow, Hope nothing major. BFE, do you know how many times the Titans D was offsides? They really screwed themselves I`d say.
BFE: Yeah I noticed Clady was having a hard time. Doesn’t look quite at 100% just yet. Also read at DP he had to ice down both knees at end of game. Overall he did well, just a few plays that come to mind.
It`s my understanding that Champ is fine and he is good to go against the Ravens. The only real injury was to Brutan toward the end of the game. I don`t know how serious it is to David B though.
Well maybe not that well…. Hope for the best for Clady, cuz lord knows we need him.
Miss spelled Bruton.
Kudos to Ayers & Hunter for getting upfield and forcing C. Johnson towards inside pursuit!
Brandon who?
Brandon Lloyd!!!!!
Yeah Hunter,Ayers, and DJ all played well, just wished they had a little more speed in pass coverage tho.Dawk has lost a step but his prescence WAS felt.
Yeah with Clady,Harris, and Kuper all 100% the running game has to get better especially with KM back.Walton is holding his own,I guess Stanley Daniels is better than Beadles(McD was high on Beadles, guess he was wrong). If we can get some run game going, and our Defense plays tough again next week,I don’t see why we can’t beat the Ravens, but they do have prob the best Defense in the league.
it feels good to win hopefully more to come!!!
If we can get healthy and stay healthy, this year might start looking better and better,GO BRONCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Bay.
It’s my first time playing and I won. I couldn’t even remember my score until i checked it. Nice. but the win our BRONCOS got yesterday was even better. On the road against a good team. and a big thumbs up to our D. holding CJ to limited runs. we need work but i’ll take it.
LETS GO DENVER. LETS GO BRONCOS.
