They cannot afford to start Tebow now financially, if anyone replaces Orton it will be Quinn at least until the 9th game of the season, see escalator clauses.

Well Orton sux but our D is looking like a top defense even with big names out. Woodyard leads the team in tackles and is doing much better than he did last year on the pass. Not even sure if we need Moreno. I really think we are going to do some big things next year unless of course Orton is still here. If they don’t want Tebow to start then what ever put Quinn out there because Orton is not the guy. So sick of Fox and Elway thinking Orton is the guy. I want to see someone who wants to be out there not a tool bag with no brains or hart.

Go Broncos!!!!!!!! (not you Orton just have a seat)

You may be right, brian_schneider, but I'm holding out hope that as Fox, Elway, and Bowlen have their gut check meeting today, that they finally commit to Tebow for the rest of the season. I mean, it really can't get any worse, can it? I believe if they do that, for once, a nice guy will finish first......and take the rest of his team along with him. Will it be this season? Probably not, but I bet it would happen sooner than everyone who doesn't want him to succeed would ever imagine. I guess we'll see.

I think that it isn't that Tebow "can't" adapt to the speed of the NFL & succeed, but rather no one "wants" him to. Everyone says how he "can't..can't..can't." When they should say "we don't want him to succeed because that will make us look like idiots." You know that old adage of "nice guys finish last" well in this case it runs true. Tebow is genuinly a nice guy with talent...and he will finish last before all this is said and done.

Ownership, Management and Personnel Take Notice! Regardless of how Orton looks on paper, or even in the controlled environment of Dove Valley, you are obviously blind to one thing.......he is a loser. For whatever qualities he possesses as an intelligent, technically correct quarterback, he is unable to win critical football games. Call it clutch, call it whatever you want, the Broncos will never win anything more than a weak AFC west division with Kyle Orton.

On the other hand, you have this guy known as a proven winner on your payroll. His name is Tim Tebow.

Naysayers will tell you that he is an inaccurate passer, too reliant on his scrambling ability, unable to adapt to the "speed" of the NFL, etc. They are idiots. Everywhere Tebow has played, he has won. Is he as technically accurate as Orton on paper, or in the confines of Dove Valley? Probably not. But that doesn't matter, because he possesses a skill rarely seen among athletes.......he's an inspiring, motivating leader and he finds ways to win. You can't analyze all of his attributes on paper. I think you are all too close to the situation to even recognize what the problem is at Dove Valley. You're so afraid of appearing to cave in to the fans that you fail to recognize that the fans have a better perspective on this situation than you do.

In spite of Orton's apparent redeeming leadership qualities, you've got to step back and look at the morale of your team, your fans, your record with him at the helm, and ultimately the impact on your long-term image. He's sucking the winning legacy out of the organization.

I've been a Broncos fan since I was 4 years old. I was at the welcome home parade after the Dallas Super Bowl loss and even met Lyle Alzado and Craig Morton. I have lived and breathed Denver Broncos football my entire life. However, I am sickened by the direction things have gone. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Broncos, but I've never felt this down on the team.....even during the dark years of Dan Reeves when he and Elway were obviously not on the same page.

I wonder if you are throwing Tebow's acquisition into the same lump as every other boneheaded decision that McDaniels made. You know what, we all wonder what that guy was thinking by getting rid of Hyllis and the others, but maybe he was capable of making one good decision. Just don't throw the precious baby (Tebow) out with the bathwater (McDaniels).

Shannon Sharpe said something last week that made me wonder if you all are in cahoots. He said that Tebow may get to play this year, but that he doubts he can ever succeed as an NFL quarterback. Furthermore, he said the Broncos would have to redesign the offense around Tebow if they were to commit to him as the starter and that that would leave them vulnerable if anything were ever to happen to Tebow. That is stupid!

That means the Broncos would have an offense unlike anything in the NFL. That means the Broncos would have an advantage over opposing defenses. That means the Broncos would start to win again! All teams are vulnerable if their starting quarterback gets injured.....duh! You don't plan your offense around your backup quarterback. You plan it around you starters. Shannon Sharpe is a fool.

Unless all of you at Dove Valley are also fools, start Tebow on Sunday, and every Sunday for the rest of the season. All of us out here in fandom know that you're going to lose some games while he learns. We know he probably suffered more from the lockout than anyone. That's fine. We also remember how long it took you, Mr. Elway, to learn how to lead our team. Give Tim Tebow the same chance you had and we'll be behind you 100%. Otherwise, I think I'll stay home and cheer for a team that actually is trying to win.

Well i’m glad I didn’t make the wall of shame... But I still am ashamed of not continuing good prediction entries, oh well it happens, what can you do?

Congrats to oldsouthstander wow, top of the heap two weeks in a row. You are off to a really hot start! It’s going to be really hard to catch up, as bay pointed out the record is 21 points. Good for you my friend!

What I can predict is that the blog is going to be chock full of worked up bloggers, and they are well in their rights to question the play-calling at the end, as I have. You gotta take the points, especially when all you got dialed up is a continued failed run game at least try to open up the play book a bit ya think?

Well, I got a full day including doc’s appointment but i’ll be back later. I don’t even want to grade our performance. One thing i’ll tell you is that our next stretch looks bleak to say the least. Thanks again bay for all your hard work, much appreciated as always my friend.

My wife finally caved after this game and said it is "Tebow Time!" haha
It is really funny to me because me wife is a really down to earth women and she has this uncanny ability to seperate her head and heart. Meaning she looks at things logical like myself but she can do it unbiased, a trait I wish I really had more control over. We're no longer a split household..yayy! LOL
