Broncos at Seahawks: Pregame Blog

August 22nd, 2009 - 6:32pm by Kyle Sonneman

Greetings from the Pacific Northwest and the second preseason game of 2009. Nice day in Seattle, with a bit of a breeze starting to pick up. Below is the game day weather for here in Seattle.

Broncos – Seahawks Weather report

Several Broncos have taken the field as have a large number of Seahawks. We will be back shortly with some pregame photos.

5:48 p.m. PDT: An exhibition football game is starting at the 40-yard line as the Broncos and Seahawks warmup behind them. I can’t tell for sure, but it looks to be a women’s league. Several Seahawks are now giving their full attention to the game.

5:50 p.m. PDT: It is now being confirmed that this is indeed a women’s football scrimmage. Not sure of the teams, but a team in black and red is battling a team in what looks to be white, black and gold.

6:00 p.m. PDT: I am not going to lie, I am a little disappointed with Qwest Field. Sure it is an awesome building with great accommodations and the location right near the water is amazing, but I had hoped to hear some Pearl Jam, Nirvana or other local bands being played. So far, nothing.

6:12 p.m. PDT: The teams doing battle in the women’s football scrimmage, the Portland Shockwave taking on the home-standing Seattle Majestics. Both teams are in the Independent Women’s Football League.

6:22 p.m. PDT: Team photographer Eric Bakke just sent up some photos from the field.

6:32 p.m. PDT: Just under an hour before kickoff and the specialists have taken the field. Going to put up some more photos right now.

6:47 p.m. PDT: Here are some more photos from Chris Gentilviso.

6:55 p.m. PDT: The Broncos are just wrapping up their team stretch period and are now going through individual drills. The Seahawks are doing the same. Also, no word yet who won between the Shockwave and Majestics.

7:02 p.m. PDT: The Broncos have left the field to a smattering of boos and a few cheers. The Seahawks are just wrapping up their pregame drills.

7:20 p.m. PDT: The Seahawks have announced the following players as out for tonight; CB Marcus Trufant, LB Aaron Curry, G/C Grey Ruegamer, T Walter Jones and WR Nate Burleson. Former Bronco D.D. Lewis will start for Curry.

7:27 p.m. PDT: The Broncos are gathered at the tunnel ready to be introduced. Looks like the defense will be introduced as a unit. From our vantage point, there is a large number of orange shirts that are welcoming the team.

The pyrotechnics are ready for the Seahawks who come out to a mix of “Bittersweet Symphony” by the Verve. Their defense is also being introduced with the loudest cheers coming for Patrick Kerney and Lofa Tatupu.

Alright, see you in the first half blog. Remember you can also follow the game on our twitter page, twitter.com/denver_broncos.

Is Brandon Marshall Playing tonight or even at the game. If he is not there, why? I hope this Brandon Marshall saga gets taken care of.

I’m excited about tonight’s game. I am looking forward to seeing the teams improvement from last week. GO BRONCOS!!!!

Nice little touch with the mp3 button…

CAN’T wait!… I’ve been watching the Steelers/Redskins game so I can watch my boy from Oregon, Dennis Dixon, get some reps at QB. He did, and now I’m all “jazzed up” for our game…

Sucks to hear that Marshall “still is not knowlegeable of the plays in the playbook” and didn’t even make the trip…

Well, only a little over an hour left till the game!!!

I cant wait until the game starts woooooooo!!!

So is NFL network always free in preseason? Ever since preseason started I’ve been getting it and so is my dad and we both have different cable companies.

  13. TheRoyalBroncos says:

I dont know I have nfl network yeararound.

  14. Deify_you, do you have Comcast? If so, it was just added to the regular digital tier (instead of the sports tier) on Aug. 1. That might be why you are getting it now.

  15. Deify_you says:

I have Bresnan, but my dad does have Comcast so that would explain it. Both are pretty comparable. Thanks for the info.

just an fyi…I don’t get NFL network, but I found it streaming online again. Use it at your own risk, though. I have no idea if it is safe to watch on this website or not.

Looks like online radio is the only way to really stay up to date with tonights game. All the so called “watch tv online for free” require downloading or installing an add on. If you download its P2P(peer to peer meaning while your downloading content your also uploading content which could in turn be information that you wouldnt want shared making you susceptible to being hacked since you could potential upload your entire hard drive online)
