14:54: Offsides penalty on the kickoff has the ball at the 30. The Broncos defense is on the field, the starters are Ronald Fields, Kenny Peterson and Ryan McBean up front, the linebackers are Elvis Dumervil, Andra Davis, D.J. Williams and Mario Haggan with Champ Bailey, Andre’ Goodman, Darcel McBath and Renaldo Hill in the secondary.
Matt Hasselbeck starts the game throwing, but it is behind his intended receiver.
14:10: First down Seahawks as Hasselbeck connects with his tight end John Carlson.
13:10: After a short run by T.J. Duckett and a short completion, the Seahwaks have third-and-short. Hasselbeck hits Houshmanzadeh on the crossing route for 13-yards and a first down.
11:50: A little first down trickery as Hasselbeck hands to Deon Branch on the end around who fires a pass short of Deon Butler. A four yard gain by Duckett brings third-and-six. Hasselbeck fires deep and finds Butler who just got past Andre’ Goodman for the 36-yard touchdown. Extra point is good and the Seahawks jump on top 7-0.
11:46: Alphonso Smith is deep for the Broncos. After a quick bobble, Smith gets it to the 22. The offense is on the field lead by Kyle Orton at quarterback, Correll Buckhalter is the running back, Jabar Gaffney and Eddie Royal are the receivers, Daniel Graham and Tony Scheffler are at tight end and the offensive line consists of Ryan Clady, Ben Hamilton, Casey Wiegmann, Chris Kuper and Ryan Harris.
10:46: Orton hits Gaffney for 16 yards on first down. After a loss of one by Buckhalter, Orton scrambles for four yards bringing up third-and-seven. Quick bubble screen to Royal gets the Broncos a first down and a bunch more. First down at the Seahawks 33 after a gain of 26 yards.
9:02: Broncos have a third-and-two at the Seahawks 25 after a completion to Buckhalter. With trips right, Orton hits Brandon Stokley for the first down.
6:00: Two Buckhalter runs and the Broncos have first-and-goal at the eight. Orton in the gun hits Gaffney who is brought down at the three. On second down, Orton looks for Scheffler who has the ball tipped and makes the catch, but they say incomplete. Third-and-goal, Orton to Stokley for the touchdown.
5:55: Prater’s extra point is good and the Broncos have tied it up at seven.
5:49: The Seahawks will start at the 16 after a nice special teams tackle by Darrell Reid.
5:14: A short run and an incompletion and the Seahawks have it third-and-eight. Hasselbeck in the gun, is sacked by D.J. Williams. Fourth down and the first sack given up by the Seahawks this preseason (thanks to PR intern Rob McBurnett for the nugget). A 10-yard return for Smith and the Broncos will start out at the 47.
4:28: In the shotgun on first down, LaMont Jordon – who split out wide – catches it for a first down. On the ensuing play, Peyton Hillis breaks it. But flag on the play, personal foul clipping on Ryan Clady and the play is coming back.
2:56: After a Buckhalter run and a screen to Graham, the Broncos face a third-and-nine. Another quick pass to Royal but he has no room to run. Fourth-and-five and out comes Prater to try a 53-yard attempt. And Prater nails it. 10-7 Broncos.
1:32: Big tackle on special teams by Wesley Woodyard and the Seahawks will start again inside their 20.
1:00: Le Kevin Smith is in for his first action with the Broncos who have the Seahawks facing a third-and-three at the 24. Timeout, Broncos.

0:00: At the end of the first quarter, the Broncos lead the Seahawks 10-7.
START OF THE SECOND QUARTER-
14:59: Goodman almost starts out the second quarter with a pick, but is still able to knockdown the pass. An incompletion on third down and the Seahawks are punting. Smith takes the ball at the five and is only able to make it to the eight. 55-yard punt for Jon Ryan.
13:53: Orton remains at quarterback, and gives to Hillis around the end, but his stopped for no gain.
13:20: A quick pass to Gaffney and the Broncos have a third down. Orton in the gun with Buckhalter to his right. Fires a pass to Chad Jackson, but it is short and incomplete. Brett Kern is out to punt, and hits it 43 yards. Josh Barrett corrals the returner and the Seahawks will start with good field position at their 48.
12:14: Third-and-eight for the Seahawks after a big tackle by Le Kevin Smith on Duckett. Hasselbeck has the pocket collapse and is sacked by Peterson. Fourth down and Kenny McKinley is back for the Broncos. McKinley calls for a fair catch at the 13.
10:33: Orton in the shotgun, he steps to the line to shout something to the offensive line. He backs up and launches a pass to Gaffney for a quick first down.
10:00: After the 13-yard pass, Orton finds Gaffney again for another first down, another 13-yard pickup.
9:15: Orton calls an audible at the line, backs up in the pocket — but before the play, Denver called a timeout, its second of the half.
9:00: Orton’s quick pass to Jordan on a screen picks up 12 yards and another first down. The next play is a handoff to Jordan, who bulls his way for a couple yards.
8:00: Orton’s pass is complete to Stokley for seven yards, setting up a 3rd-and-1. The offense is in a no-huddle, hurry-up offense, but the play didn’t come in on time — Orton’s headset didn’t look like it was working — and the Broncos call their third timeout of the half.
7:27: Hillis stiff-arms his way for the first down and a five-yard gain.
6:54: Looks like Orton is having some issues getting the play and the Broncos are signaled for a delay of game. First-and-15, and Orton hits Royal for six and then hits Hillis for 18 yards and a first down.
5:27: A short Jordan run, Orton hits Royal inside the five-yard line. First and goal at the four.
4:00: Jordan get the carry on first down, looks stopped, but spins for three yards and second-and-goal at the one. Orton in the gun and Jordan to his right fires a pass, but Gaffney cannot hang on. Third-and-goal from the one.
3:00: Orton tried to squeeze a pass in for Gaffney but it falls incomplete. The offense stays on the field for fourth down. Orton, has trips right and Buckhalter to his left, throws one up for grabs that is picked off by Ken Lucas. Orton was pressured, moved out of the pocket and couldn’t find a receiver and threw it up for Stokley. Seahawks take over at the 20.
2:57: Seahawks now in the hurry up, are stuffed by Ronald Fields on first down then Hassekbeck and Houshmandzadeh connect on the last play before the two-minute warning. Third-and-three after the break.
2:00: The Seahawks are three of six on third downs. Hasselbeck is in the gun, and the blitz is on. Screen pass to Justin Forsett is a big gain, but flags have hit the field. They are on the Broncos, play stands. 30 yards on the play as the Seahawks catch the Broncos in a blitz.
1:52: After a short reception, Hasselbeck is sacked this time by Elvis Dumervil who got through on the bull rush. They are giving Peterson the sack, his second of the game. It looked like Dumervil pushed his man into the quarterback and Peterson may have tripped him up.
1:20: Fourth down and the Seahawks are going for it, and get it on a quick out.
0:54: First down at the Broncos 27, another screen but it is sniffed out by Hill for a short gain. Seahawks call a timeout, their second.
0:44: Third-and-six after Hasselbeck misses with Branch. In the gun, Hasselbeck moves up in the pocket and hits his tight end Carlson. Gain of 13 yards, and Hasselbeck spikes the ball to stop the clock.
0:26: Third-and-goal and another screen pass. Bailey saves the touchdown by grabbing Forsett at the two. Seattle calls its final timeout with 14 seconds left.
0:14: Hasselbeck throws a fade to his Housmandzadeh for the touchdown. Goodman had good coverage, but Hasselbeck made the perfect pass. Extra point is good, Seahawks 14-10.
0:09: Nate Swift takes the short kick and takes it to the Broncos 41. With just three seconds left, Orton kneels on the ball and we are at halftime. Seahawks 14 – Broncos 10. Broncos will receive the kick to start the second half. See you there.

Naw …Lets look forward to next week. We looked ALOT better this week. Until the left hander. Lets face it, next week we will look EVEN beter than this week. Etc. Look to get some wins this season. If we lose, atleast i can only guess it wont be blow outs, but close ones.
Sad thing is we coulda won if we drove down the field. We just forced another 3 and out…Sigh
Do you guys think any other QB’s are out there to be had? I know the Vikings have to let Jackson or David Booty go
Manny say we needed a change when it was made. But the change was made at wrong tiem. we still had promise under shanny. if we were disasterous under shanny I dont think anyone would mind a bad record in a rebuilding season cuz we weer alreayd used to that with shanny but that wasnt the case, we were .500 with promise. anyway GO BRONCOS
Its too late to bring in a new qb now genius…al we can do is put all hope in ortons learning skills and draft next year
draft next year? didn’t we give up our first round pick to seattle?
RoyalBeast Im a Shanny and Cutler fan, I just think that we need to give McD room to make the decisions that he sees fit because he has to make it work
Damn somebody needs to block for young Tommy
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d81214208/Pre-WK-2-Jay-Cutler-highlights
Sigh…
HE did do pretty good. but thats shannys teaching. Like the down throws etc..sigh.
Cutler has a pretty arm. I think Cutler wants his revenge next week against McDaniels. He are screwed I think because we don’t have 2 champ baileys.
I love the way Larsen plays, always around the ball
Well its over..I guess dissapointing night.
we*
Genius, Even tho I was sad about shanny leaving, I was somewhat excited about McD until all this multiple fiascos started after his arival. I know u gotta shake thigns up but wow. Anyway it is what it is
Yes we traded it mudrat but we still have bears pick in first round. lets hope they go 0-16 lol
Looks like orton wont have to worry about simms taking the starting spot lol
Orton could have thrown 4 INT’s tonight and he would keep Orton as his starter because of what he traded to get him.
I love that thought and I am definitely hoping for 0-16, Well Good Night guys and man I hope McD is just saving something for Chicago
thats cool that they are signing autographs
0-16 would be funny if we went that way because maybe McDaniels would be fired and we would bring Shanny back or pick of Cowher next year haha
LEts not even joke about that. We WILL DO FINE THIS YEAR! DO GREAT NEXT YEAR! just patience..
well i’m going to bed. see you all next week when we take on cutler and the bears. later
