Q3 15:00: Matt Prater is on to kick off, as the Ravens will receive to start the second half.
Q3 14:46: Lardarius Webb takes the kickoff back 95 yards for a touchdown. Steve Hauschka’s extra point is good, and the Ravens now have a 13-0 lead.
RAVENS 13, BRONCOS 0
Q3 14:40: Eddie Royal is tripped up and taken down at the 14-yard line on the ensuing kickoff, and the crowd is chanting “Defense!” as Kyle Orton and the offense are back on the field. Orton rolls right and finds Tony Scheffler for a nine-yard completion to the 23-yard line.
Q3 14:05: Orton is under center on 2nd-and-1, and hands off to Knowshon Moreno, who picks up eight yards and the first down. On the next play, Orton is under center again, fakes a handoff and then fakes an end around before firing a pass downfield toward Brandon Marshall. Marshall leaps and tries to bring in the ball with one hand, as the defender looked to be holding his other arm. A pass interference flag is thrown, and the Broncos have a first down at the Baltimore 30-yard line.
Q3 13:08: Moreno picks up a yard after stiff-arming Terrell Suggs, and the crowd is booing as Orton is in the shotgun on 2nd-and-9. He has lots of time to throw, but the pass is nearly intercepted by Jarret Johnson intended for Scheffler. On 3rd-and-9, Orton drops back and fires for Jabar Gaffney for a first down. It’s a pick-up of 14 yards to the Baltimore 15-yard line.
Q3 12:03: Orton is in the shotgunbefore stepping up in teh pocket and finding Peyton Hillis inside the 10-yard line. Hillis is disappointed he didn’t break a tackle, pounding his fist, but the pick-up of six yards gives the Broncos a 2nd-and-4 at the 9-yard line. Orton is under center and hands off to Moreno. The rookie gets near the first-down marker, but it’s a 3rd-and-1 at the 6-yard line.
Q3 10:50: Orton fakes a hand-off and rolls right, firing a pass toward Daniel Graham that falls incomplete. The offense is still on the field on 4th-and-1, but Denver calls its first timeout of the half.
Q3 10:44: The offense is still on the field on the other side of the timeout. Moreno is in the backfield, and Royal, Gaffney and Marshall are to the left. Orton is under center, and Marshall goes in motion to the right side. Orton’s pass is complete to Marshall near the first-down marker, and a flag is on the field. It’s offsides on Ed Reed — half the distance to the goal and a first down for the Broncos.
Q3 10:25: 1st-and-goal for the Broncos brings a handoff to Moreno, who is brought down after a gain of a yard. Haloti Ngata is hurt on the field.
Q3 10:00: Ngata walks off the field under his own power with a bit of a limp, flanked by trainers. The teams walk back to the line of scrimmage, and the Broncos have a 2nd-and-goal from the 3-yard line. Orton fakes a handoff and fires a pass to Scheffler in the end zone that falls incomplete. Ray Lewis is called for pass interference on the play, however, and since the penalty is in the end zone, the Broncos have a 1st-and-goal on the 1-yard line.
Q3 9:46: Moreno takes the carry on first down and heads right up the middle for the touchdown. Prater’s extra point is good, and the Broncos pull back within a score of the Ravens.
RAVENS 13, BRONCOS 7
Q3 9:41: Welcome back, Spencer Larsen. He lays out Webb at the 18-yard line on the kickoff this time around. Now the Ravens offense is back on the field, and first down brings a sack by Andra Davis. There’s a flag on the play, however — illegal contact by Andre’ Goodman, a five-yard penalty and automatic first down.
Q3 9:33: It’s first down at the 23-yard line for the Ravens. Ray Rice takes the carry and essentially crawls on the ground under some defenders to pick up four yards. On second down, Rice takes another carry and finds space up the middle to the Baltimore 44-yard line. It’s a gain of 17 and a first down.
Q3 8:22: Rice takes yet another carry on first down — a two-yard gain. Second down sees Joe Flacco in the shotgun, and he gets it to Mark Clayton for another first down.
Q3 7:30: Back in a no-huddle offense, Rice gets another carry on first down. It’s a gain of six yards to the Denver 31-yard line. Flacco is in the shotgun and his pass is complete for 10 more yards and another first down. Renaldo Hill was shaken up on the play.
Q3 6:46: Hill is being helped off the field, walking between two trainers. Now the teams are back at the line and the Ravens have a 1st-and-10 at the Denver 21-yard line. Flacco is in the shotgun, but it’s a fumbled snap — however, the Ravens recover the fumble.
Q3 6:22: In the end, it’s a two-yard gain for the Ravens on fumble yardage. On 2nd-and-8, Flacco is again in the shotgun. His pass is complete to Mason for a pick-up of three yards. Third down has Flacco in the shotgun again. He takes the snap and is chased around in the pocket before being nailed by Vonnie Holliday. He gets the pass away and it’s complete to Rice, but it’s short of the first down marker.
Q3 4:55: Hauschka’s 31-yard field goal attempt sails through the uprights, and the Ravens tack on three more points.
RAVENS 16, BRONCOS 7
Q3 4:48: Royal takes the kickoff out to the 22-yard line, where the Denver offense takes over. Buckhalter is in the backfield on first down, and Orton is under center. Buckhalter takes the handoff, but he is brought down near the line of scrimmage for a loss of one.
Q3 4:15: Orton takes the snap in the shotgun and fires to Marshall, but the ball slips through his hands incomplete. That brings up 3rd-and-11 and the M&T Bank Stadium crowd is on its feet. Three receivers are on the field and Orton is in the shotgun. His pass is complete to Buckhalter, but it’s short of the first down — a gain of nine yards.
Q3 3:30: Mitch Berger’s punt flies to the Baltimore 27-yard line — a 43-yard punt. Willis McGahee takes the first-down carry for the Ravens, but he’s brought down for no gain by Elvis Dumervil. On 2nd-and-10, Flacco takes the snap and fakes a hand off to McGahee before turning right back around and dumping off a pass to the running back. McGahee avoids a tackler and gains five yards before being taken down by Ryan McBean.
Q3 1:47: Flacco completes a pass to Kelley Washington for a first down. On the next play, he hands off to Rice, but he’s taken down immediately in the backfield by Mario Haggan. It’s a loss of four yards.
Q3 0:31: Flacco is forced out of the pocket on second down and picks up a yard, setting up 3rd-and-13. He is hit as he throws, but finds a receiver short of the first down marker. There’s a flag on the play — offsides on the Broncos. That makes it 3rd-and-8 at the Denver 48-yard line. Flacco is in the shotgun with Rice to his right — but the clock ticks down to the end of the third quarter.
Q4 15:00: 3rd-and-8 for the Ravens. Flacco takes the snap in the shotgun — but two Broncos jump offsides, and a penalty is called for a neutral zone infraction. Now it’s 3rd-and-3 for the Ravens. This time Flacco is under center and Rice is in the backfield. Washington goes in motion, and Flacco finds Washington for the first down.
Q4 13:40: Robert Ayers took down Rice in the backfield for a loss of two on first down, then Mark Clayton takes an end-around for four yards on second down. On 3rd-and-8, Flacco fires for a touchdown to Mason, increasing the Ravens lead. The extra point is up and in, but there are flags on the play for offsides on the Broncos. The penalty will be assessed on the kickoff.
RAVENS 23, BRONCOS 7
Q4 13:07: Royal takes a knee in the end zone for a touchback. Orton fires downfield on first down, but Domonique Foxworth breaks up the pass intended for Gaffney. On second down, Orton drops back and fires for Gaffney for a first down at the 37-yard line. It’s a 17-yard gain.
Q4 11:40: A two-yard Moreno run on first down sets up 2nd-and-8, and Orton is in the shotgun. He fakes a hand off before dropping back with plenty of time to find Daniel Graham for a short dump-off that turns into a five-yard gain. On 3rd-and-3 at the Denver 44-yard line, Orton takes the snap under center. He drops back and fires for Royal, but he is hit by Ed Reed right as the ball arrives. The pass falls incomplete and Berger is in to punt. The kick flies high and is fair caught at the 25-yard line. It’s a 31-yard punt.
Q4 10:40: Andra Davis takes down Rice for a loss of four on first down. On 2nd-and-14, Davis sacks Flacco — back-to-back big plays by the inside linebacker. That sets up 3rd-and-30 at the Baltimore 15-yard line, and Renaldo Hill is back in the game in the secondary. It’s a screen pass to Rice, and Darrell Reid is right there to take down the running back after a gain of nine yards. The stop forces a punt by Sam Koch.
Q4 8:45: After a 50-yard punt by Koch, Royal is taken down for a loss of two on the return. That sets up the offense on its own 24-yard line. Buckhalter is taken down by Ed Reed for a loss on a first-down screen pass, setting up 2nd-and-15 for the Broncos at the 19-yard line. The crowd is on its feet as Orton is in the shotgun. He tries to find Marshall downfield, but it falls incomplete.
Q4 7:56: Orton is in the shotgun on third down, and is taken down on a blitz by Chris Carr. That makes it 4th-and-25 at the 10-yard line, and the Broncos are forced to punt. Berger is on the field to punt out of his own end zone. He is hit as he punts the ball — but it’s determined to be the five-yard variety rather than a 15-yarder, so it remains fourth down, and Berger will punt again. The punt is returned to the Baltimore 47-yard line.
Q4 6:53: Rice picks up eight yards on first down for the Ravens, who enter Denver territory on the play. Le’Ron McClain takes his first carry of the game and picks up a yard, setting up 3rd-and-1 for the Ravens. Baltimore calls a 30-second timeout, its first of the second half.
Q4 5:39: On 3rd-and-1, Flacco hands off to McClain, who fights his way to the 24-yard line — a 20-yard pickup and a first down.
Q4 3:30: Another big McClain run gives the Ravens a 1st-and-goal at the 6-yard line as the clock continues to run.
Q4 2:30: McBean is shaken up on a play, but he walks off the field under his own power. Baltimore has a 2nd-and-goal from the 4-yard line. D.J. Williams takes down Rice in the backfield, and Denver calls a 30-second timeout — its second of the half.
Q4 2:04: Baltimore has a 3rd-and-goal from the 7-yard line, and Flacco takes the snap in the shotgun before handing off to Rice, who sprints up the middle of the line for a touchdown. Hauschka’s extra point is up and good.
RAVENS 30, BRONCOS 7
Q4 1:54: Royal is taken down at the 20-yard line, and the offense takes back over. Orton’s pass is complete to Moreno for a five-yard gain on first down, followed by a 12-yard completion to Gaffney on second down, as Orton rolled to the left, setting up a first down. Gaffney got out of bounds to stop the clock. On the ensuing first down, Orton took the snap in the shotgun and fired a pass incomplete downfield.
Q4 1:13: Orton is in the shotgun on 2nd-and-10, fakes a handoff to Moreno and fires to Royal, who is hit hard after a gain of three. On 3rd-and-7, it looks like there’s miscommunication and Orton fires an incompletion in Royal’s direction. There’s a flag on the play, however — but it’s picked up as they rule the ball was uncatchable. That brings up fourth down.
Q4 0:33: Orton lines up in the shotgun with Buckhalter to his left on 4th-and-7, and his pass is complete for a first down to Marshall. Denver calls its third and final timeout.
Q4 0:18: Daniel Graham comes down with an Orton pass inside the 30-yard line, and the Broncos rush up to the line. Orton spikes the ball to stop the clock with three seconds to go. Orton shovels a pass off to Buckhalter, and he’s pushed out of bounds after a 10-yard gain to end the game.
It is the Broncos’ first loss of the season, and their record falls to 6-1. Up next — the Pittsburgh Steelers at INVESCO Field at Mile High on Monday Night Football.
The final score: Ravens 30, Broncos 7.

EGGS- AKLEE, Mahalo & GOD bless.
same on the miami game..
Too bad we lost.. but.. it’s not the end of the world.. I’m sure they will learn from this loss
um the only way he could of been throwing deep all game is if he had time the hole game he was hit. and if we had cutler Im sure the game probly been 40 50 to 7 with Cutler freaking out and throwing about 5 picks. its one loss how can you compare one loss so far to shannys last three years were all he cared about was a cry baby and didnt give a crap about the D at least the D fought.
PEACE OUT & KEEP THE FAITH.
The press conference is on broncostv. lol
Dyno, watch it online at broncos.com later
Orton can throw down the field he just cant throw down the field on the money greatness….deep throw accuracy is garbage because he has to put all his arm into it to get it that far lol
Sometimes a loss can do wonders for a team, guys, I think the Broncos will be just fine.
/wrist…….Man pits are coming off a bye against us too….Gosh..
lol who ever made r schedule really had it in for us three teams comming of bye not to mention the caliber of those teams im amazed at how we are playing with only the one year turn around
Look forget him. (Cutler) He’s gone! We nned to play with what we have. Them since Mcd is a great qb coach as they say. He need to coach him up on that aspect. Not just say. “Since you can’t throw accurate over 15yards. Will just call these plays” lol Not good enough for me or the Team. It’s gonna have to change.
true bronco-blaze..but atleast we have it at home..we can beat Pits.
Thanks, Team! Until next week…
Didn’t get to see much of the game, but what I did see didn’t look so good.
Greatness, who said anyhing about Cutler? There are just somethings hard to coach, he might just no be capable of it and what McD has done is try to play to Ortons strength and not make him something he is not cuz that equals mistakes. I hear ya. Dont like it and its not good enough for my team either lol. Why I wanted Brandstater to start but McD built offense around orton and he has done well so far…..All we can do is regroup and and put it behind us. Like they way, we dont hang our hats on one win and we wont on one loss…..we just played horrible in all phases of the game. Orton without time is hellish….he will end up looking like he did in chicago
Wins cover up a lot, and losses expose more. Our O line played horrible. Orton never had a chance untill the Ravens laid back at the end of the game. The D never had a chance to rest and that will kill any D. I blame the O line for this loss.
The Ravens were more prepared and ready to play than we were. Take a shot down field..my gosh, take a chance with Marshall or Royal deep. The Ravens did what they had to do. Hey we’ll regroup and get read to take on the Steelers at home.
Did we play yet??? someone told me we did but i wasn’t sure we even showed up!!! WTF was that performance…EMBARRASSING PERFORMANCE!!! I have no problem losing a game BUT getting our A$$ kicked is ridiculous.
Come on Kyle Orten/ McD challenge some secondaries. No one is proud of no interceptions. One 300+ passing game all yr. We did not even push Baltimore deep with the 23rd ranked pass defense?? We have B Marsh, Royal, Stokes, Shef, etc and we cant throw the ball?? HORRIBLE play calling or choices by Ortin..one of the two. What a JOKE!!!
We better figure out how to put up some point on offense some time this yr
This does not surprise me as it was a hard game away from home field advantage and after a bye week.
I do not like bye weeks because teams tend to lose their rhythm and timing, performance levels dip and you can almost lose your next game before you begin to play.
Next week I expect them back home firing on all cylinders and giving the Steelers all the problems. Don’t worry about the O line and Orton. So they had one bad game but McDan will not let them get away with that lightly. He will use this opportunity to help them improve.
our week spot has been offensive scoring… WE NEED TO PUT UP MORE POINTS AND BE MORE AGGRESSIVE!!! We won some LUCK games, we’re lucky to be 6-1 and we MUST step up on offense or we will not even come close to getting to a super bowl. Defense is consistent and playing great…offense has yet to WOW me!!! I think w have the potential but we need to opein it up allready..come on. New England didn’t break records 2 yrs ago playing conservative!! THROW THE BALL DOWN FIELD!!!
Dude, chill out.
At least now we can get that “Will they go undefeated monkey” off our backs.
we only lost 1 game to a very good team….we are 6 and 1 and still in the lead in the division…nothing to freak out about bad days happen to everyone
anyone know when the press confrence is??
Oh and this team doesn’t win by luck… its called teamwork, being in the right place at the right time. Today they didn’t do that at all. This team is too good to depend on luck to win games for them. I hate bye weeks too and today’s game was a perfect example of what teams can be like after the bye. We could’ve & should’ve came out like the Ravens did and dominate or we come back like we did today and be a doormat. Today was not what I expected nor what I wanted this team to be like after the bye but the season is far from over. Stop jumping the gun. We got 9 games left, all of them winable for us, believe it or not. We get back to the dominate team we were before the bye and we’ll be unstoppable. They’ve got to start playing like a team or nothing will work. That simple.
After today, they have their work cut out for them to be better, much better but if I know McD’s style, and by now I think I do, he won’t stand for this week after week. There’s too much strong leadership on this team to let this kind of playing continue. Too much talent to let us get any worse. In McD’s eyes, this is unacceptable and it is… every player should be able to recognize that. They know they are better and by all means they WILL get better.
Keep the faith Bronco Country…
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
We’re 6-1 and just like when we were 6-0 it doesn’t mean anything. It means we’ve lost a game and we have to get back on our feet and go to battle against the Steelers. It wasn’t one aspect of the game that lost it today for us. Some saying the o-line lost us the game. Yeah they gave up some sacks and we couldn’t get the run game going. But that mis-cue on the TD pass when the safety was out of position that isn’t the o-lines fault. This team wins and loses as a team. It is over with and we need to get ready for the Steelers. And we dont’ need to start sayin’ how this team is headed down hill and all that garbage. This loss will show who the true fans are and who were just on the bandwagon for a ride.
Like I said all week , to explain, or excuse this game on the bye week is utter non sense, sorry 07, the Ravens were also coming of a bye week. The O line was the main culprit, and also the wrong #15 DOMINATED. I just got home, those are my first impressions, there will be much more to follow.
Hey,
This loss stings but nothing to freak out about. This day was going to come I honestly never thought we would go undefeated so now its nice to have that first loss because there is a ton of pressure when you’re undefeated and no one ever thought the Broncos would start 6-0 . So we are in a good position with this 1 loss heading into a Monday Night game at home against the Steelers. I expect the Broncos to bounce back next week now that they swallowed this first loss.
NY man, there is no difference between losing by 1 or by 30 points, it still goes down as a loss in your record, it’s all the same. Most of you guys are a bunch of “freak out for all” kind of dudes, I mean we are 6-1 and you sound as if we were sinking down with the Titanic. What a joke! The O line was absolutely horrific today, I don’t care who would of been the QB, there was absolutely no time to throw any long balls today. Heck, Orton got beat up real badly today, and all most of you guys are going after is how he couldn’t throw long. Why don’t you give the guy a little respect for hanging in there. Why don’t YOU try to stay in there long enough to try to find a reciever for the long pass when all you got is enough time for those recievers to go down the field 10 yards. That’s elementary Mr. Watson, but I guess most of you guys haven’t gotten to that school level yet…
I don’t want to tut my own horn , BUT.. I said you give the Ravens a extra week to fix the D and plan for us and they have their backs against the wall and they are at home, that this had the making for a bad game for us. Berger had a 31 yd punt. Ravens punter had a 50 yd punt. I don’t think Kern ever had a 31 yd punt. I also said when the schedule came out 3 staight games w/ a playoff team coming off a bye was going to be bad for us.Even if we lose next week we will be fine.We have some winable games down the road. We will be 12-4 and a divison winner. Did I mention I don’t like Mitch Berger.
Mitch Berger takes so long to get the punt off.
@NY_BroncoMan: Where were you when all this stuff was going down in the offseason? Where were you when everyone was saying we’ll go 3-13 and all that @#$!$#. You weren’t here, you weren’t commenting. Now all of a sudden we go 6-0 and you show up and yeah yeah.. then we lose and you go off the deep end. I’m mad don’t get me wrong, I’m really mad. The Ravens were going to come out of that game with a W. They were ready to play, we weren’t. Now we’ll have to go back and get ready for the Steelers.
Other note, the Brady rule only affects Tom Brady, Orton got taken down low when he got up limping a bit. No flag, oh that’s right he’s not Tom Brady. Either enforce the rule or get ride of that BS rule.
And why do you come out here when things are going bad? Where were you when things were going good? Let me guess, just a good old Cutler/Shanny fan who hasn’t yet stomached the changes and is holding onto anything negative to prove his futile “live in the past” ideology. You’re history, man get used to it. This is now, no more bombs, turn onto the Bears channel to get your fill of that. There is more ways than just to gunsling it to be 6-1, oh, sorryt the gunslinging Cutler is 4-3.
byalin
on record there’s no difference BUT in the locker room there is. Getting dominated is a moral/confidence crusher. It means u didn’t even play competative…that’s embarrising. I think they will rebound and play much better BUT i also think the Ravens exposed a way to play us if we’re not going to stretch the field. I don’t give a crap if you have 2 seconds in the pocket get the ball down field and give the WR’s a chance to make a play.
Ortin had some time on some many plays and the whole play cslling was too conservative. Mc D was not play calling like this with Brady and Moss…so i don’t know what is going on but with our O talent we should be able to put up 30 points and we haven’t yet.
Time will tell…we’re good but good enough to will tell wether we’re good enough to be be considered SB worthy.
well all i know is lets go raiders!…lol and i will never say that again
in the wise words of 07elway, chill out..lol.
I agree w/ baylin,
frustration is understandable, but acting like one’s running out of oxygen is a bit too much.. no offense on anyone..
yea, our schedule is kind of silly. taking on all top tier teams..IMO…its any given sunday.
anyone know when the press confrence is?
If theres any panic…I dont know why there should be. We were beat in all phases of the game from coaching to special teams. Their backs were agaisnt the wall, they needed it, they were hungry, at home, and even tho they have lost 3, they barely lost them. They are a good football team. You are right when you say it doesnt matter who our QB is if the O line cant protect. Worst Ive ever seeen our oline play in a while. Same goes for it doesnt matter who your RB is if oline struggles. The game is very easily won and lost in the trenches.
Orton excells when he has time in the pocket (like any QB). Sure there are some shifty elite QBs who can make a mountain out of a mole hill in such pressure situation but not on every down and we had too much pressure on damn near every down. I will say that I have always felt this even when Orton was doing well. He locks into receivers and leaves alot of possible plays unmade. This is one of the reasons he is mistake free is because he knows his limits and plays it safe but at the same time stop locking into recievers and scan field better. Altho I am just saying this as it is the general job of a QB, Dunno how tough it is cuz I have never played QB….Im more of a Wide Receiver. We lost, we move on, and this team will regroup well. We need to open up that playbook a little more. Even McD said he was out coached but he is a smart guy and we have smart talented players. We will be fine. I was always more of a Brnadstater guy but Orton had experience over him and by default was the better selection and he has done well for us so far. No need to doubt. We are not the Titans lol. Vince Young did well by the way lol
PS: This might sound bad but I was considering going to the ravens game since I can drive to the stadium in like 10 minutes. Woulda been my first live Bronco game, and this isnt the memory I woulda wanted. Fortunately certain scheduling conflicts above my control hindered me from making the game. Maybe I can make the redskins one. Stadiums a lil farther but just about 30 minutes and sounds like a very winnable game lol.
We may be broncos but we will rise like the phoenix
THE SEASON IS OURS FOR THE TAKING
GO BRONCOS!!!
Hey we still have 2 games w/ KC 1 w/ Dorkland , we should be able to win all 3 of those. wash, nyg. philly,sd we should win 2.We lose to indy, at worse 10-6 but I think 12-4. Just need to fix some things on O and ST.
I was just makin a point towards ur rude comment. How old u r, where u live or big of a fan u r ..i could care less. So please stop turning this into to me vs u. I am expressing my opinion about the team this blog is about. The last i checked, difference of opinion is what makes for interesting conversation and debate…so do me a favor and allow me to express my thoughts and stop making comments directed towards me just because u tend to disagree. In short please just post your interest towards the team and not me.
I’m sure there are plenty of people on this blog that agree that the broncos need to open it up more on offense and throw the ball down field more to alow the running game a short passes more effectiveness.
Im sure there are many on here that think Orton has potential but has still to prove him self as a QB that is capable of winning a championship. I would like to see Mc d call plays to allow him to open it up more. …I’m sorry but throwing 0 int’s in 7 games is NOT good. ..that means your not taking enough chances!!
Denver has a lot of talent and I think if we can find out what Orton really has we’ll know if we have a championship calliber team.
Wow,
Our offense was outta sync, our D was “cushy” and the whole team attitude was dull and boring. Wake up broncos and kick some steeler butt.
If you take back the 3 points from the fumble and we stopped the kick off return. It would have been 6-7 Broncos coming in to the 4th. Stupid mistakes put this game out of reach. Football isn’t a game of big plays, it’s a game of mistakes, who ever makes the fewest wins. (game 1 batting it up instead of down, stokley catch) I’m positive McD will make sure we cut those mistakes out by Monday.
BTW, Mitch is a TERRIBLE punter. I swear, I thought Reed was gunna block one. Fix that and fix it fast.
What up my Broncos Fam?!! I’ve been laying low and observing since the season started but now I feel the need to say something. I think this game is a wake up call for the team and us fans. We’ve responded after a few last second wins, we’ve responded after a overtime win, and now we will respond after a ugly loss.
Some of yall are acting like these fans here in New Orleans!! It’s all good and wonderful when things are going right, but it’s the end of the season once there’s a little adversity! This is not last years team, hell even Phillip Rivers said that. B. Dawk, Coach Mc, and all of the other veterans will not let this team fall apart.
No one had us @ 6-0! We had/have a tough 5 game stretch starting with the Dallas game and ending with Pitt. I felt and feel that if we go 4-1 or 3-2 in those games then we would be looking pretty damn good. Well we will take down Pitt. @ home next Monday, go 4-1 in that five game stretch and sit @ 7-1 heading to Washington.
OK, point taken, so I will talk about the fact that some people here think throwing 0 INT’s in 7 games is not a good thing!?!?!? We are obviously talking about a different game here. Also some think Orton has potential but he still hasn’t proven he can win a Championship, well of course it would be nice to be able to find and afford a guy who has won a Championship, which would make him capable, but how are we going to find such a man (if he was available) and make him fit under the cap? They are others on this blog who think Orton is a qualified QB to run an offense alike the ones ran by QB’s such as Dilfer with the Ravens and Johnson with the Buccs who have succeeded in bringing their respective teams a super bowl win. Not all are won by the likes of Elway, Favre, Manning or Brady, there is a lot more to it. Thankfully, all is not yet lost, we still have a chance at succeding, either with Orton now or Brandstater later on, McD has always been known for his knack of picking good QB’s and I don’t see why all of a sudden it would be diferent now that he is our coach. We do voice different opinions here, everyone is welcome to theirs, but don’t be surprised when your opinions are being debated, or even if we dislike them. Everything goes both ways.
First off, NY-BroncoMan, as you nicely stated this is an open forum and we are allowed to express our opinions and my humble opinion of your previous comments is to simply chill out. And I’m not smokin anything, I just drink the Orange & Blue Kool-Aid that keeps me calm so I don’t have insane over-reactions like you. Lastly, we don’t win by luck including the game against the Bengals. Stokley was in the right place at the right time and made a game-saving play. There’s a HUGE difference between luck and a miracle. That catch was a miracle my friend. I saw this coming. The first game we lose and everyone around here starts flipping a gasket over ONE game. What a shocker.
Baylinor… I NEVER tried to make excuses for any bad performance by this team. You totally misread what I said. I just don’t see why everyone has to over-react. If this game was at the end of the season and it made the difference in whether or not we take the West or go to the playoffs, then I’d over-react too. We have 9 games left… 9!! This season is far from over and as long as we get better and improve greatly from this game THEN and only then will be a threatening team. Don’t ever accuse me of making up excuses for this team or being too soft. I could really over-react like everyone else but then there would be no voice of reason around here to tell people to chill out. The game made me mad enough, I don’t need everyone here comin at me too. Now I’m all riled up.
Offense was atrocious, defense got really sloppy, I don’t like Berger at all, we got run over on ST… we stunk all-around and it is completely unexcusable. But once again, its one game. We will get better.
Keep the faith Bronco Country…
GO BRONCOS!!!!
Another thing Tony Dungy pointed out. Dawkins was out of place on that Mason TD.
see? stupid mistakes.
There are some problems on offense. NY but if you bring that up on this site, they say you are not a good fan. I said weeks ago that teams are going to start killing the offense because Orton can’t throw deep. They said I was just a Cutler fan. If you have ever watched the Ravens Reed has never played that close to the line that often but he wa today because they weren’t worried about Orton beating them deep. Everyone knows that when it is a long yardage play. We are going to throw the screen. As a realist, although they call McDaniels a genius, Nolan is the key. The offense has gotten worse, the defense has gottten much better.
Goodness,
One loss, and the bandwagon fans pop outta no where.
07, probably shouldn’t of said you used the bye week as an excuse, you actually didn’t, but when you said you hate bye weeks and today’s game was a perfect example of what teams can be like after the bye week, it was hard to overlook. As McD said before the game, the bye week is a non issue, specially that the Ravens had one too. That’s all, I’m on your side, haven’t you noticed?
