Week 1 is here. EverBank Field in Jacksonville is virtually empty, however, as fans haven’t yet started streaming into the seats. Then again, who can blame them — they’re probably hiding at the concession stands from the 90-plus degree weather and 70 percent humidity.
No players are warming up at the moment, but we just received the list of inactive Broncos:
Brady Quinn (third quarterback), Syd’Quan Thompson, Andre Brown, Darcel McBath, Eric Olsen, Ryan Harris, Chris Clark and Demaryius Thomas will not suit up for the season opener.
Since Quinn has been designated the third quarterback, that means Tim Tebow will be the backup in his first NFL game, a return to his hometown of Jacksonville.
For Jacksonville, DB Don Carey, DB Michael Coe, RS Scotty McGee, RB/KR Deji Karim, FB Brock Bolen, OT Jordan Black, DE Austen Lane and DT Landon Cohen are inactive.
11:54 a.m. EDT: Lonie Paxton, Britton Colquitt and Matt Prater are working on snapping, holding and kicking field goals, respectively. Their counterparts on the Jaguars are on the field as well. The rest of the teams remain indoors.
12:10 p.m. EDT: More Broncos and Jaguars have made their way onto the field, including Matthew Willis, Perrish Cox, Spencer Larsen, Eddie Royal, Cassius Vaughn and the three quarterbacks — Kyle Orton, Quinn and Tebow.
12:18 p.m. EDT: The entire Jaguars team is on the field stretching. A few more Broncos have made their way out of the tunnel, including Andre’ Goodman, Nate Jones, David Bruton and Champ Bailey.
12:23 p.m. EDT: Now the entire Broncos team — sporting all-white uniforms — have met in front of the tunnel for a giant huddle. The squad is now running through warmups in the end zone.
12:32 p.m. EDT: Here are a few pregame photos courtesy of Eric Detweiler, who braved the blazing sun in a suit.

12:45 p.m. EDT: Check out the DenverBroncos.com game center for the contest — http://www.denverbroncos.com/schedule-and-events/game/2010/regular1/
The Jaguars cheerleaders are on the field — looks like the teams will be introduced soon. The National Anthem will follow, then we’ll be ready to kick off the first game of the Broncos’ 2010 season. See you in the first half blog.

KEEP THE DRIVE ALIVE BRONCOS!!!!!
Lets get a win today!!!!!
ILMSDB!!!!!
LET’S REMAIN UNDEFEATED!!!
Quinn is inactive, told you all the guy would be doing is nothing more than utilizing a valuable roster spot.
Brown with his turf toe, Thomas because he hasn’t earned a spot yet with his injury lingering, called those, too bad Syd’Quan won’t be there, was looking forward to see him some on the returning game, Cox will more than do though.
HEAT, here we come…
why Syd’Quan inactive? ):
This is a repost just so I make sure I say thanks to all.
First Off Thanks to all of my fellow Bronco family for the best wishes of the new Bronco Fan! Just do not get used to calling me Grandpa FTR! LOL.
I think if we can muster some sort of rushing game then Orton can beat the Jags. Thomas should sit this one out until he is sure he is 100% and we should activate someone like Willis or Decker. Willis did a good job as a deep threat in preseason. The weather like I posted a few days ago will be a factor. Maybe the NFL will let us hang two IV bottles on each side of the helmet like the beer things you see for the second half-lol. So called Experts don’t give us a chance, but what’s new in that. Let’s play hard Bronco Football and we leave 1-0. Cuz
I LMSDB.
FTR
I agree about Quinn. We should just trade him now and gain an extra roster spot.
And I guess they probably didn’t activate Syd’Quan because they wanted to utilize Cassius Vaugn’s skills on special teams. Let’s hop he’s as good a gunner in the regular season as he was in preseason. We’ll need good ST to win the game.
So i guess Nate Jones is backup safety in place of Mcbath and good to see Thomas sit out today
Well boys and girls, enough yacking for me, time to blank out everything else and get ready to watch the game, I’ll see you on the flip side.
GO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O……… BRONCO-O-O-S…..
Good luck to all on that side of the pond. My fingers are crossed. I’ll take an immaculate anything as long as we win the first one……
Just had to say I’m rooting for you boys all the way from KC… show them cats no mercy. lol Soooooo glad to see Clady back, his return will make a big difference in our Oline and my confidence in Orton. Also heard they made up “a package of plays” just for Tebow and he’ll be seeing some play time today. Can hardly wait!! I knew he’d get promoted to #2. Show ‘em how its done Broncos!!!
Whatever you say Grandpa FTR. ;p
Keep the faith Broncos Country…
GO BRONCOS in 2010!!!!
The man who told you mid season last yr. That Tim would be the Broncos future has returned. Now that he is #2. Orton is on his game but still fragile. I hope they put Daniels outside and Beadles inside but probably won’t happen.
