PREGAME: Starting this week, we’re going to handle blogs during gameday a little differently. First and foremost, we wanted to keep this live blog going to essentially serve as a chat room for you guys, since we know how much you like interacting in the streaming comments section.
But this live blog in particular will serve as a bed for your comments along with a list of links to all the corresponding blogs we’ll write throughout the game. Rather than one long live blog per half, which we thought could be tedious to read through, we’ll have many more smaller blogs throughout the game. We’ll recap scoring drives, give injury updates and note key plays and other events throughout the contest.
Let us know what you think of the new system. We hope you like it.
INACTIVES: Without further ado, here is the link to the first blog of the afternoon: Inactives vs. Miami.
GATOR REUNION: Tim Tebow and his former Florida head coach Urban Meyer chatted for a while on the field before the game.
HOME JERSEYS: The Dolphins wear white at home to battle the South Florida heat, so the Broncos are wearing their home blue jerseys.
TEBOW ON CBS:
DOLPHINS WIN TOSS: The Broncos captains at midfield called heads, and the coin landed on tails. Miami elected to receive to start the game.
CHANGES AT STARTER: Jonathan Wilhite and Quinton Carter were among the new starters on defense — the unit opened in a nickel package. Eddie Royal was back to starting on offense, alongside another notable new starter — Tebow.
PREGAME PHOTOS: Courtesy of Eric Lars Bakke. Meanwhile the Broncos are back on offense.
BRONCOS AT DOLPHINS GAMECENTER: For those of you wondering about missing play-by-play, we’ll keep you updated with a new blog any time there’s a big play or a scoring drive, and for everything in between, you can check out the DenverBroncos.com Gamecenter here. It’s got stats, the score and a play-by-play of the current drive.
BRONCOS ON TWITTER: Another option is to follow the @Denver_Broncos Twitter account. There are constant updates on there throughout the game. You don’t have to be on Twitter to read the posts, but if you are, you should follow the account for news throughout the week as well.
Speaking of big plays — Dawkins just sacked Matt Moore to give the Dolphins a fourth down at their own 6-yard line. After a short punt, the Broncos have the ball at the Miami 41-yard line.

0-0 AFTER FIRST: The Broncos and Dolphins are still at a 0-0 stalemate after the first quarter. Here’s closer look at some of the stats.
FINS GRAB FIRST LEAD: A 38-yard Dan Carpenter field goal caps off a 10-play drive to give Miami a 3-0 lead.
BRONCOS STILL SCORELESS: The Broncos are 0-2 on field goal attempts — a 49-yarder and a 43-yarder — and the Dolphins still lead 3-0 midway through the second quarter.
MIAMI UP 6-0: A turnover helped Miami drive for another field goal.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY: Here’s a look at some of the numbers from the first half, as the Dolphins lead 6-0 at halftime.
MILLER TIME: Von Miller notched his sixth sack of the season, marking the fifth consecutive game he has had at least one quarterback takedown. It helped set up a Miami punt — but it was a good one, pinning the Broncos near their goal line.
INJURY UPDATE: Willis McGahee has a hand injury and his return is probable.
FOURTH QUARTER SET TO START: The score remains 6-0, as defenses controlled the third quarter.
DOLPHINS UP 12-0: A Miami drive that spanned the third and fourth quarters culminated in a touchdown pass. The two-point conversion was unsuccessful. More details on the drive here.
MIAMI LEADS 15-0: Another Carpenter field goal gives Miami a 15-0 lead. For more details, check this blog.
Broncos on the Board: Tebow throws a 5-yard pass to Demaryius Thomas to cut Miami’s lead to 15-7 with 2:44 left in the fourth quarter. It is now a one possession game. For more details on the drive, click here.
Broncos Recover Onside Kick: The Broncos went for and recovered an onside kick after Tebow’s touchdown throw. The Broncos have the ball on their own 44-yard line with 2:41 to play.
Broncos Tie the Game: After recovering the onside kick, the Broncos drove down the field and scored with 17 seconds left, converting the two-point conversion to tie the game 15-15.
Broncos-Dolphins Goes to Overtime With the game tied and 17 seconds left, the Dolphins take knee, sending the game into overtime.
Broncos Recover Fumble D.J. Williams strip-sacked Matt Moore and also recovered the fumble, giving the Broncos possession at the Dolphins’ 36-yard line.
Broncos Win in Overtime A 52-yard field goal from Matt Prater sealed a 18-15 Denver victory in overtime against the Dolphins.

I think Tim can be a great QB, he just needs to learn how to turn it up earlier in the game!
4 sacks today
skip is gonna lost it
haha tim for real needs more time and confidence!
The whole game wasn’t pretty, but we did what we had to when it needed to be done.
i still blame the offensive play calling for how horrible we played first 3 quarters. i also blame coach fox and mc coy for making prater kick a 52 yard fg, we needed more yards to make it more comfortable.
this will give tebow loads of confidence….and the team around him too.
Orton could never do that
we need packers qb coacher recivrs coach to be our next o coordinator
Haha…Wow.. Now i would like to see better play calling ALL game.
Tebow never gave up…class act. Still giving cudos to the who team.
The guy needs some work, but I love the effort he gives. Never quits until the final whistle is blown
