PREGAME:

We’re here at Arrowhead Stadium on this beautiful Sunday morning getting ready for the Broncos game against the Chiefs, which kicks off at 11:00 a.m. MST.
Some of the players have taken the field, stretching and preparing for the game. Kicker Matt Prater is warming up his leg by kicking field goals, and punter Britton Colquitt just spent some time with his brother Dustin, who plays the same position for the Chiefs.
BRONCOS AT CHIEFS GAMECENTER: For play-by-play action and up-to-the-minute stats, check out the Broncos gamecenter. We’ll keep you updated here with scoring plays, drive recaps and all the fun bits and pieces you can’t get from looking at a box score.
BRONCOS ON TWITTER: Another option is to follow the @Denver_Broncos Twitter account. There are constant updates on there throughout the game. You don’t have to be on Twitter to read the posts, but if you are, you should follow the account for news throughout the week as well.
FAMILY AFFAIR: Britton and Dustin Colquitt are the first brothers since 1941 to punt in the league at the same time. They’ll be on the same field today.
BRONCOS AND CHIEFS INACTIVES: Linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who has been battling a knee injury all week, is one of seven players inactive for today’s game for the Broncos.
PREGAME PHOTOS: Here are some photos from Eric Lars Bakke and Ben Hays of the Broncos warming up before the game.
COIN TOSS: Tight End Daniel Fells is the game captain for the Broncos as he joins the Broncos’ five season-long captains for the coin toss, with Britton Colquitt standing in for the injured Wesley Woodyard as the special teams captain. The Broncos won the toss calling tails and deferred their choice to the second half. Kansas City will receive.
MILLER CONTINUES HIS STRONG CAMPAIGN: Linebacker Von Miller sacked Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel on the first series of the game. It was his 7.5 sack of the season.
TEBOW RUNS IT IN: The Broncos strike first. Quarterback Tim Tebow took the snap on the quarterback draw and ran behind the right tackle for the touchdown to put Denver up 7-0.
INJURY UPDATE: Running back Willis McGahee has a hamstring injury and his return is questionable.
FIRST QUARTER COMES TO AN END: At the end of the first quarter, the Broncos lead 7-0 without throwing a pass.
*INJURY UPDATE: Running back Knowshon Moreno has a knee injury. His return is doubtful.
PRATER PADS LEAD: Kicker Matt Prater kicks a 38-yard field goal to extend Denver’s lead to 10-0 with 7:46 left in the second quarter. It was Prater’s 35th consecutive successful field goal from inside 40 yards.
SHARING THE BALL: Six players have carried the ball so far for the Broncos.
BRONCOS TAKE THE LEAD INTO THE HALF: Denver heads into the locker room up 10-0. The Broncos are an NFL-best 28-1 since 1994 when shutting out their opponent in the first half.
CHIEFS NARROW BRONCOS LEAD: Matt Cassel throws a 1-yard play-action pass to fullback Le’Ron McClain to shorten Denver’s lead to 10-7 with 8:15 left in the third quarter.
BRONCOS TOP 200 RUSHING YARDS: Quarterback Tim Tebow’s 10-yard run in the third quarter put Denver over the 200 rushing yards mark for the second consecutive game.
THIRD QUARTER COMES TO A CLOSE: The third quarter has come to an end here at Arrowhead Stadium, with the Broncos leading 10-7.
TEBOW TO DECKER FOR A TOUCHDOWN: Tim Tebow throws a 56-yard touchdown pass deep down the right sideline to Eric Decker on third down to put Denver up 17-7 with 6:44 remaining in the fourth quarter.
CHIEFS COME BACK ONTO THE FIELD: The Chiefs will try for a late comeback as they get the ball with 1:55 remaining in the game down 17-7.
BRONCOS DEFEAT CHIEFS 17-10: Denver improves to 4-5 on the year with a victory in Kansas City.

I agree about the TE’s, I thought they would be more involved.. On a side note, nice to see Nate Irving make a play on special teams, haven’t heard much from him this year, hopefully he’ll pan out, I like the kid..
Someone made a good point earlier, about us going out and executing a passing game plan one of these weeks… That would great if we could do that, since it would really have opposing teams scraching their heads…
I guess yuu left out the whole TE bit from me, but whatever makes you tick raidrhadr…
This week I think we’ll see a lot of pressure on Tebow. Ryan’s defense is probably salivating at making Tebow’s day miserable. That’s why I somewhat feel that this week we could see more passing on screens and quick outs to TEs. Revis pretty much shutdown Marshall in their Miami matchup and we don’t have a WR with Marshall’s talent on our roster. So we’ll need to spread the ball around.
Yeah, Decker will be shut down, that’s pretty much a given, bring out my boy Willis you won’t be sorry, he had a third of the catches yesterday, LMAO!
Anyone up to reading the 1,205 posts on this blog? LOL.
A new blog would be nice, I’d like to go in a different direction…
Tim Tebow has thrown a TD pass in every game he`s started so far. Not many QB`s can say that. Tim`s holding his own.
You think Revis will be on Decker? Cromartie is not that good anymore, and I could see DThomas having a break out game..
Just heard on the radio (NY media) that LT will undergo tests this afternoon, and his availablity for Thursday night could be in jeapardy…
I believe that the TE`s will be used as a outlet for Tebow, but the answer is when. And if they don`t then there making a mistake there. IMO
DT will have a break out game???? I keep hearing that every week for two years now, LOL. I would have Revis on Decker for sure, he is Tebow’s main target by far.
Really, LT could be out? What happened. I didn`t see him get hurt last night.
He is just old, haha.
I thought about that last night. Revis will be on Decker like white on rice. Our other WR`s need to show up.
Old people can’t play two NFL games in 5 days.
I believe that this game on thursday will be a high scoring game.
Raidrhadr,
I appreciate your comments, but that isn’t what I was saying. What I was saying is that with the expectations that most had when TT took over, or even at the beginning of the season with us having a new coach, no off season training, etc., things looked really bleak to say the least. With the little time that our offense has had to gel with a new qb, as well as our receivers, things are not looking that bad at this time. I also believe that we all know, or hope, that they will ALL get better as time goes by and they have that much more time together. As far as the passing game yesterday, I am strictly going on the 850 radio announcers because I was unable to watch the game. Out of 8 passes, 2 were caught, 4 drops that should have been caught and the other two were no way of being caught. The passes I saw on highlights of the game were the two that were caught and two that the receivers had and dropped. Those should have been caught.
But, yes you are correct raidrhadr, our passing game needs work.
Broncos win 31-27. Even without McGahee.
Yeah, rbf1′s TnT dynamite connection (Tebow to Thomas) is not quite what we had hoped for, more like a TnT dud.
With D Thomas no KABOOM!!
LOL!!! I agree that every game is DT’s break out game…
LT appeared to have tweaked something (maybe hammy) towards the end of the game last night, and limped off the field..
no, more like KLUNK!
Shoot, bring on the four WR sets for once, Decker, Willis, Royal, and Thomas. Let her fly!! LOL
Maybe we can send him to the Bucs. They seem to be taking all scraps these days.
Funny stuff Bay.
If they bring in the 4 WR set it will be only to give the D that passing look and they will run the ball, LOL.
You are probably right. HaHa!! Wishful thinking on my part.
With Moreno and Thomas it more like *crash* the sound of glass breaking.
Just noticed that the futures odds on Denver winning the AFC Championship just went down a little after the win… DAMN!!! I missed my chance… lol
The Glass Brothers!
bay I did read that and again I’m not bagging on my fellow fans. Let’s just get better is my point agreed? I’d love to see the TEs get involved alot. Fells has been good blocking and receiving so I love this guy. Not being in cardiac arrest makes me tick.
seweatherman1: understood. Thanks
Sounds like a country band. Yuck.
Well yeah, that goes without saying, I think the fact that we have to get better in the passing game has not been lost on a single Bronco fan, at least I would hope so…
Yeah, and their top single is “Fragile as a rose”.
Agreed. But if we want to continue to win, the Broncos need to figure out how to get the passing game going. I think they will. They better!!
LOL
We can`t stay one demensional from here on out. That`ll only go so far. And the coaches know that. They aren`t dummys, at least I think they aren`t.
I think for starters in order to get the passing game going they need to adjust the playcalling to incorporate more than just 8 passing attempts. I think our success running the ball opened up downfield on a few passes to Decker and Royal that were just a bit off target (but catchable). Along with getting the passing game going Tebow needs to work on his mechanics and reads, something I think he’s gotten better at but still needs significant work. This week we won’t be as lucky to not seeing any blitzes, you can be that Rex is dialing them up right now!
*bet*
So if they blitz, throw in a screen. That`ll keep them honost.
Bay, in reference to your 10:08 post, LT should be ashamed. Old people can too play that often. Just watch Dawk and Champ. They’re old, and they’ll be rocking on Thursday. lol
PS: As in rocking the house, not on rocking chairs!!! LOL!
Semper Broncos!!!!
I do wonder if McGahee is going to play against the Jets.
I hope he does.
Listening to the radio here in NY, and they are giving us ZERO respect… Saying things like the “only way the Jets loose is if Sanchez completely implodes”… “The Jets should have no problem selling out, and playing only for the run”…. and finally “The Jets need to bring the wood and make their QB regret ever running the option in the big leagues…”
I so want this game fellas!!!!
Strand, I’m optimistic about Mcgahee playing. After hearing Fox say that he could have returned yesterday on an emergency basis, I think it bodes well. At least, I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Hey, the Jets fell hard last night. Let them talk.
Talk is cheap.
Preten post game interview:
Reporter: “Mike, your were seen laughing and smiling on the sidelines during the game. Care to explain what was so entertaining?”
Mike McCoy: “Of course! This week I went to the local High School and made some photocpoies of their playbook. Who knew that what works for them could work for us. I found it humorous that even though every coach in the NFL has probably seen or used this game plan at some point in their coaching careers it could still work against NFL playeers that knew it was coming.”
Reporter: “There you have it folks, a HS scheme beat an NFL team that knew it was coming. Tune in next week when we talk with some pigs that fly.”
Fox said that? Thats encouraging.
Maybe I’ll call in and ask them about the Jet’s O-Line vs. the Bronco pass rush… LOL!!!
Last year, we were one play away from beating the Jets. Just one play. They should talk, their scared. And with our bad D last year at that. The Jets are afraid right now.
