15:00: The Chiefs have a first-and-10 at the Denver 39 to start the fourth quarter. Bowe fires deep down the left sideline for Bowe, but he makes the grab well out of bounds near the goal line.
14:50: Huard complete to Jeff Webb for 15 yards and a first down at the Denver 23.
14:10: Huard hits Bowe for 10 yards and a first down, moving into the redzone to the Denver 13.
13:00: Huard hits Tony Gonzalez in the back of the endzone for a 13-yard touchdown. 23-13, Chiefs.
Gonzalez was injured on the play, but he got up after a few minutes and made his way to the sideline on his own.
12:40: Russell is back to return the ensuing kickoff. He takes it out to the 22 from three yards deep in the endzone.
12:33: Cutler finds Royal in a gap in the coverage, picking up five yards on first down.
12:00: The Broncos are going no-huddle. Cutler hit Marshall for eight yards and a first down, then hit Royal again for another four.
11:32: An injured Chief is down on the field — it was Dimitri Patterson. He got up and jogged off the field.
11:20: Cutler hits Marshall on the right sideline as he goes out of bounds for seven yards and a first down.
11:12: Cutler hits Royal for a nine-yard gain on the right sideline.

10:30: Cutler to Royal again for nine yards. Then in comes in Pittman, who takes it up the middle for a short gain, getting the first down.
9:41: After an incomplete pass intended for Stokley, Cutler is in the shotgun with three wide receivers. He pitches to Young on his left who takes it five yards.
9:10: Cutler finds Royal on third down, and Royal surges for an extra yard or two to get the first down. First-and-goal at the 10.
8:05: Young carried the ball six yards to the four. Then after an incomplete pass, it’s third-and-goal from the four. Cutler’s pass for Royal falls incomplete.
8:01: Prater comes out for a 22-yard field goal, and he kicks it through. The Broncos have narrowed the lead, getting within a touchdown, 23-16.
7:58: Savage returns the ensuing kickoff out across midfield, giving the Chiefs the ball just inside Denver territory at the 49.
Clifford Russell is down on the field, with the training staff attending to him. They are bringing out the stretcher now for him.
He is being taken off the field on a stretcher, but he has waved his hands. And there is great sportsmanship in Arrowhead as many Chiefs players went and patted him as he was carted off.
Russell sprained his neck, and he is being transported to a local facility to be evaluated.
7:00: On third-and-six, Huard finds Gonzalez for a 23-yard gain. The Chiefs have first-and-10 at the Broncos 23.
4:35: It’s third-and-four from the Denver 16. Johnson is stopped after a gain of one.

3:15: Cutler is working the sidelines so as to stop the clock. He fires to Marshall, who moves out of bounds after getting the first down.
2:14: It’s third-and-10 from the 15. Cutler’s pass gets tipped and falls incomplete. Prater is set for a 33-yard field goal, and it’s good. 26-19, Chiefs on top.
2:06: The Broncos attempt an onsides kick, and Larsen nearly gets it, but the Chiefs recover it.
2:04: Johnson runs around the right end, gaining 34 yards. The Chiefs have the ball at the Denver nine at the two-minute warning.
2:00: A holding penalty negates a Johnson run and moves the Chiefs back to the 19.
1:45: Johnson pounds into the line, then bounces outside and goes 16 yards for the touchdown. 33-19, Chiefs on top.
1:31: A flag for a block in the back on the Broncos gives the Broncos the ball at their own seven.
1:11: Cutler finds Stokley down the middle for a first down before Cutler scrambled several yards. He followed that up with a 21-yard pass to Graham.
0:30: The clock runs out on a Pittman run up the middle.
The Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium, 33-19.

Unfortunately, I had the disavantage of going to this game (Ha, that’s the exact opposite of what I was saying before the game!) Our Broncos looked alright but has any1 ever been to Arrowhead? The atmosphere was great. Living in Nebraska and being a Husker fan, (went to the VT game this week also, THIS WEEK SUCKED!) I was surprised to know that pro team’s fans could be that good. Come on Broncos Nation, we need to be louder, so next time your at a game and the other teams Offense lines up, STAND UP AND SHHHHHOOOUUUUUTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (you husker fans will get that)

Guys.. Have we ever thought that it’s great that Cutler is doing great; however, we do need a runningback too.. The play calling is too obvious if you look at it; we had a total of 22 running plays today. We ever thought that we need an hall or young to emerge as a starter and take some pressure off of cutler? It’s too obvious that all a D has to do is drop back and we’re going to throw it; and we wonder why INT happens to our offense.
Hey broncos 14441. I was raised in Nebraska and have been to Arrowhead stadium a bunch to watch the Broncos play. They are crazy down there. That loss was bad cuz we are a better team, but that has always been a tough place to play. I wish the Faiders would have held on at the end to beat San Diego. My day wouldn’t be as bad. Let’s get these next 2 games at home!! 3-1 isn’t too bad. GO BRONCOS!!!
Broncos14441: We need Osborne back!!!
OK, I’m taking the blinders off…the defense isn’t just BAD, it’s PATHETIC. Who didn’t see them give up over 200 yards on the ground and let HUARD COMPLETE 75% OF HIS PASSES?! The 3 man rush doesn’t work, the blitz doesn’t work, we simply cannot get pressure. Elvis has been a shadow this season so far and Champ can only cover for so long before the WR will eventually get open. The interior line is just plain bad, there’s no excuse for giving up a 65 yards run on the 2nd play of the game.
You can run but you cant hide. If anyone cant really see that this defense will be the ruin for this team, your living in Disney Land and your mother’s name is/was Pollyanna!!!! Yes, we were as bad as we think. Add to that, an embarrasing effort on behalf of our vaunted rookies, then you have the recipe for disaster. Next week vs Tampa could be a repeat as they’re masters of “The Tampa 2″ which is what forced Cutler into making throws that were just impossible, even for the rocket armed QB. Patience is a virtue, and he better show it next week or the same fate awaits us. Take what the defense gives Jay.
Oh, could mike please add safties/DT/DE’s to our roster this week. I hate to say this finally, but Moss/Crowder are bums. They need tot hit the road. They’re not hitting anything in the NFL except the bench. I hate change in midseason, but if we dont make some moves, the will be no post season.
Yes, I agree with you HOGblog. It is crazy that Jay goes for it all most of the time. He has so many weapons on the field, he should be patient and take what the D gives him. Yesterday was insane. The offense forgot to show up. Had we scored our average of 34 points it would of been another victory and were 4-0.
I was afraid of a day like this. Our offense isn’t hitting on all cylinders and our defense can’t hold. It was the typical Denver Broncos, playing to the level of their opponent. A Young team starting to believe in their press. In a nut shell they looked horrible. Now were gonna find out what this team is truly made of. How they bounce back and handle Tampa Bay will tell us a lot.
The Defense is so bad up front! the Best pass rusher is Elvis Dummerville and he is so fast the lineman he’s against just uses his momentum against him and pushes him out of the play. The offense will rebound, but the Defense, needs immediate help.
This is by far the worst D we have had in years!!! Outright nasty !!!! Can’t stop nobody !!!!! 3rd and 75 we will give it up !!!send slowik packing !!!
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are D is worse than i thought…… no pressure on da QB and no pass dfence WTF were not goin NE were with this team!!!
I have to agree with many, our D needs to step up. Lately there has been talk of how good the D is at stopping the run. In my opinion, and it is just my opinion, we haven’t really been challenged by a good running team. Oakland’s McFadden, young but needs a better line, San Diego’s LT awesome, but had toe issues so not 10%, New Orleans’ Bush did well against us, and now Larry Johnson racks up a massive 198 yards. I think that our D all around needs to get better, especially the D-Line. And really what was up with coverage on Bowe, Bly?? Champ should have been covering him all day. One more thing, then I’ll get off my soap box, I think Cutler is an awesome QB, the best we’ve had since Elway, but he sometimes acts like “Big Mistake Jake” and tries to force some throws, like the San Diego game when he had nothing and he still tried to force it in. Throw it way and live to play another down. I think that he just needs to calm down, and I know him and B Marshall are a great combo, but as a QB if you really want to help your team win, you’ll throw it to the open guy, not just your favorites. Maybe it is just the way it looks on tv but sometimes there seems to be a guy wide open in the flats but he bombs to B Marshall, and it’s incomplete. Give it to the guy in the flats!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I’m done, just venting.
Sorry, in an earlier post it was supposed to 100% not 10%.
Tony was WIDE open, for whatever reason Jay didn’t read the field correctly. Time to hit the film a little harder, time to start doing your reads again buddy, you’re better than that. I don’t know what it’s going to take for Shanny to call up the rookie Barrett and slap him in the line up. Granted he SUCKS on special teams, but he’s an 8th man in the box that actaully can STACK the box.
I wish Denver would stop being the “Dr. Feelgood” of the NFL. Every year a team on the skids plays Denver and the broncos make them look like Super Bowl contenders. EVERY YEAR! The players change, the other teams change, the assistant coachs change, but still the same problem. The one constant? Take a guess……
