Broncos at Chargers: Second Half Live Blog

October 19th, 2009 - 8:22pm by Gray Caldwell

Q3 14:56: The Broncos receive the kickoff to start the second half, and the offense takes over at the 26-yard line after Eddie Royal’s kickoff return. On first down, Knowshon Moreno is wrapped up near the line of scrimmage for no gain. Second down brings a deep pass from Kyle Orton intended for Tony Scheffler, but it is broken up. Flag on the play — pass interference on the defense. That sets up a first down on the Denver 45-yard line.

Q3 13:50: After a six-yard gain on a pass from Orton to Scheffler, Moreno finds a hole for a gain close to the first-down marker — it sets up 3rd-and-1. The handoff goes to Moreno, and there’s no indication whether it’s a first down or not — there are flags all over the field. Two fouls. Illegal shift on the offense, which is declined, and delay of game on the offense for spiking the ball after the play. It’s fourth down, and Brett Kern is in to punt. Darren Sproles is back at his own 10-yard line ready to return. The punt sails into the end zone for a touchback.

Q3 12:34: Brian Dawkins is back in the secondary and Mario Haggan is back in at linebacker as the defense trots onto the field. Andra Davis makes the tackle on first down as LaDainian Tomlinson picks up three yards. On second down, Rivers is nearly sacked by Dumervil before throwing a ball intended for Chris Chambers that falls incomplete. Two flags on the play, both on the Broncos. A holding call on Haggan makes it 1st-and-10 for the Chargers at their own 28-yard line.

Q3 11:40: Philip Rivers is hit in the backfield as he lets go of an incomplete pass. On second down, he finds his fullback Mike Tolbert on a screen pass that picks up 18 yards and a first down.

Q3 10:05: Dawkins and Elvis Dumervil snuff a LaDainian Tomlinson run after just a yard on first down, but Rivers comes back and completes a pass to Chambers for another first down at the Denver 37-yard line.

Q3 8:45: Another one-yard Tomlinson run comes on first down. That’s followed up by an incompletion by Rivers intended for Chambers with Andre’ Goodman in coverage. That makes it 3rd-and-9, and Rivers swings a pass out to Sproles, who is taken down by Wesley Woodyard after a gain of four. On 4th-and-5, Nate Kaeding is in to line up for a 50-yard field goal attempt. He drives it through the uprights, and the Chargers extend their lead by another three points.

CHARGERS 23, BRONCOS 17

Q3 7:57: Eddie Royal is back deep to receive. An update on his performance so far — he’s in fact the second Bronco to return both a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns in the same game. It also happened in the Broncos’ inaugural season, 1960. Back to today’s game — Royal takes it out to the 23-yard line, where the offense will take over on the other side of the TV timeout.

Q3 7:51: Orton finds Brandon Marshall for a 15-yard gain on first down, moving the ball to the 38-yard line. On the next play, Orton backs up into the shotgun and fires toward Tony Scheffler — good for a five-yard gain. 2nd-and-5 brings a pitch to Correll Buckhalter and a first down after the 11-yard gain.

Q3 6:04: A long pass intended for Marshall falls incomplete, but a completion to Scheffler on the following play sets up another first down for the Broncos at the San Diego 34-yard line. Buckhalter runs for five more yards on first down, followed by a one-yard gain by Moreno. On 3rd-and-4, Orton backs up into the shotgun with three receivers out wide. He fires to Marshall, who drags his defender for a first down.

Q3 3:45: On 1st-and-10, Orton pump fakes then fires to Scheffler in the end zone for a touchdown. It’s quite a catch by Scheffler — the replay shows the tight end got both feet in bounds as he dove to make the catch. Prater’s extra point is good, and the long drive puts the Broncos back on top.

BRONCOS 24, CHARGERS 23

Q3 3:43 The touchdown drive spanned nine plays for 77 yards, taking 4:14 off the game clock. Now Prater is on the field to kick off, and it’s fielded by Sproles. Darcel McBath took down the returner with a big hit at the 26-yard line.

Q3 3:39: A 17-yard Tomlinson run gave the Chargers another first down, and he followed it up with a seven-yard run and a run for no gain. On 3rd-and-3, Rivers drops back and is sacked almost immediately by Dumervil. The sack also forces a fumble, which is recovered by Vonnie Holliday, giving the Broncos offense the ball at the San Diego 47-yard line.

Q3 1:05: A pitch to Moreno goes for no gain on first down, followed by a pass aimed at Jabar Gaffney that was broken up at the last moment. It’s now 3rd-and-10 for the Broncos at the San Diego 47-yard line. Orton buys time, but coverage forces him to scramble forward for a quick chunk of yards. There’s a flag on the play, however — holding on the defense. It’s five yards and an automatic first down.

Q3 0:10: A quick pass out to Brandon Marshall nets nine yards on the run after the catch, and a handoff to Moreno on second down goes for a loss of a yard as the quarter comes to a close. The Broncos will have a 3rd-and-2 at the 26-yard line on the other side of the break.

START OF FOURTH QUARTER: Orton drops back and finds a wide-open Marshall for the first down. Now 1st-and-10 at the 17-yard line, Orton hands off to Buckhalter, and he’s stopped after a gain of one yard.

Q4 13:50: With Orton in the shotgun, Buckhalter catches a pass out of the backfield for a five-yard gain on second down. That sets up a 3rd-and-4 at the 11-yard line. Orton is in teh shtogun with Buckhalter to his right. Three receivers are out wide. Orton takes the snap, drops back and fires for a diving Royal — but the pass falls incomplete. Prater is on the field for a 29-yard field goal attempt — and it’s good, extending the Broncos’ lead.

BRONCOS 27, CHARGERS 23

Q4 13:05: That was a 10-play scoring drive by the Broncos. That’s two consecutive long drives strung together by the offense. Now the Chargers offense is on the field, and Rivers tries to set up a screen pass to Tomlinson. The defense sniffs it out, most notably Haggan, who drills the running back for a loss of four.

Q4 12:17: An incomplete pass by Rivers intended for Vincent Jackson sets up 3rd-and-14 for the Chargers at their own 23-yard line. Rivers is in the shotgun and he’s sacked by Dumervil for the second time today. That brings in Mike Scifres for the punt, with Royal back deep to receive. He tries to find the sideline but is brought down after a short gain at the 29-yard line, where the offense will take over on the other side of a TV timeout.

Q4 11:36: Orton takes the snap from under center on first down, handing off to Buckhalter. The running back finds a big hole and picks up 15 yards for a first down.

Q4 11:26: After an injury timeout for the Chargers, Buckhalter finds room for a six-yard gain on first down. With the ball at midfield, the Broncos have a 2nd-and-4, and it’s a handoff to Buckhalter. The ball comes loose, and there’s a pile to recover the fumble — Ben Hamilton comes away with it after quickly diving on the ball. After the scramble for the ball, it’s 3rd-and-1 for the Broncos — actually a three-yard gain in the end.

BRONCOS TIMEOUT

Q4 9:51: On 3rd-and-1, Peyton Hillis is in at fullback blocking for Moreno. Moreno leaps in the air and dives forward toward the first-down marker — and the refs are calling for a measurement. It’s a first down, and the cheers from the crowd are louder than the boos. Not sure if that’s because Chargers fans were confused, or Broncos fans are taking over. Either one is possible.

Q4 9:29: Big tackle by the Chargers on first down — a pitch to Moreno that looked like could go for a big gain is just a gain of two. On second down, Moreno takes a handoff just as the play clock was nearing zero and picks up five yards. It’s 3rd-and-3, and Orton takes the snap from under center. He tries to find a diving Royal again, but the pass is a little low and hits the ground. That sets up 4th-and-3 for the Broncos at the 39-yard line — and Kern is in to punt.

CHARGERS TIMEOUT

Q4 8:00: Kern’s punt bounces at about the 3-yard line before heading into the end zone for a touchback. The Chargers take over on their own 20-yard line. On first down, D.J. Williams blitzes into the backfield late and gets to Rivers for a sack and a forced fumble — but Rivers recovers his own fumble on the way down to the ground. That makes it 2nd-and-21 at the 9-yard line — and Rivers completes it to Vincent Jackson for a 17-yard gain. Now it’s 3rd-and-4 for San Diego.

Q4 6:27: A pass interference call on Andre’ Goodman on a deep pass intended for Jackson gives the Chargers a first down at the Denver 40-yard line. Haggan and Dawkins take down Sproles after a two-yard gain on the following play. On second down, Rivers drops back and is hit by Andra Davis as he lets go of the ball — so the pass falls harmlessly to the ground, incomplete. That sets up 3rd-and-8, and Rivers is in the shotgun. He tries to get it to Malcom Floyd, but Champ Bailey was in tight coverage and the pass sails high.

Q4 5:45: At the Denver 38-yard line, the Chargers elect to go for it on 4th-and-8. Rivers is in the shotgun and fires toward Floyd — but it’s broken up by Bailey and D.J. Williams. Turnover on downs.

Q4 4:54: The cornerback tried to jump an Orton pass to Scheffler, and paid the price. Scheffler turned back in field after the catch and sprinted all the way up field to the 8-yard line. It’s a 52-yard gain, and the Broncos have a first-and-goal.

Q4 3:00: Two consecutive Moreno runs sets up a third-and-goal at the 5-yard line. Orton drops back into the shotgun with three receivers to the left. He fires the ball to Brandon Stokley, who snags the catch and rolls into the end zone for the touchdown. San Diego head coach Norv Turner throws in the red challenge flag because the defense believes they touched Stokley down at the 1-yard line.

Q4 2:55 The ruling is upheld, and Stokley’s touchdown stands. Prater’s extra point is up and through the uprights — and the Broncos now hold an 11-point lead.

BRONCOS 34, CHARGERS 23

Q4 2:48 Darrell Reid makes the stop on Sproles at the 23-yard line, where the Chargers offense takes over. Rivers passes to Antonio Gates in the middle of the field — a quick six-yard gain. It looks like the Chargers are electing for a hurry-up offense, and Rivers steps up in the pocket to find Chris Chambers for a 17-yard gain and a first down. They hurry up to the line againand Rivers finds Jackson for another first down at the Denver 36-yard line as the clock winds down to the two-minute warning.

Q4 1:59 Gates catches a pass for another first down at the 25-yard line, and the Chargers hurry back up to the line as the clock continues to tick. Rivers avoids pressure and moves out of the pocket, eyeing a receiver running toward the end zone — actually it was Tomlinson — but Wesley Woodyard’s coverage is right there, and the linebacker almost comes away with the interception in addition to the pass breakup.

Q4 1:15: The Broncos defense continues to swarm — Reid sacks Rivers and forces a fumble — but the Chargers recover it. It’s an 11-yard loss, and San Diego is forced to use its final timeout.

CHARGERS TIMEOUT

Q4 1:08: Rivers is hit as he throws on 3rd-and-21, and the pass falls incomplete. Now the team is faced with a 4th-and-21 at the 37-yard line. Kaeding is out to attempt a field goal — the 55-yard attempt is wide left, and the Broncos offense is back on the field. Broncos fans are all cheering and the Broncos sideline acknowledges the fans in the crowd. It’s a big celebration in Qualcomm Stadium as Orton takes two knees to close out the team’s sixth victory in as many games.

The Broncos now head into their bye week undefeated at 6-0.

FINAL SCORE: BRONCOS 34, CHARGERS 23

Im happy that all bronco fans like Orton and McD now its nice to not hear anyone calling for there heads like in week one and week two.
Great choice Mr.Bowlen in bringing in McD he is a smart coach who is wise well beyond his years.

I love this blog! I live in Newfoundland, Canada…..and trust me, there are only a handful of NFL fans here in the whole province, let alone Denver Bronco fans! So I watch the games at home and cheer alone! Nice to have a place to go and rant and rave about our boys!

I am so impressed with how these guys play as a TEAM! They feed off one another and when the D makes a big play, the O goes out and makes a big play of their own.

I love the way Moreno runs, but I’ve noticed in the past several weeks he has a hard time getting that 1-2 yards needed to convert a first down…..anyone have any thoughts on this? I’m sure it’s just a maturation process and he will learn what it takes to make those….as he did with his leaping run last night for the 1st…….but there’s nothing more disheartening than to not make those 3rd and shorts.

Kyle Orton, I take back everything I’ve said about you not being able to lead this team in the past…….when it’s crunch time, you come up big and you haven’t put this team in a bad position yet this season. Kudos to you!

And what can’t be said about our D. They just keep coming at teams and get them off the field. How many years has our 3rd down defense had me screaming at the tv…….but now they seem to always get the job done, especially in the 2nd half. It’s almost as if the first half is somewhat of a feeling out half and then the adjustments are implemented at halftime and they come out playing lights out football!

This TEAM is off the hook! We should be number 1 in the power rankings this week, if not 2 behind the saints…….but we should be ahead of the Vikings for sure!

    GO BRONCOS GO!

  3. brian_schneider says:

I heard this during the game last night, the booth pointed it out. For the next three games we play teams that are coming off their BYE week. These next 3 games will really be good, tough, hard fought ones. Hopefully we can get everyone back to 100% and be ready for some great football. We’re going to need to play great against BAL.

  4. brian_schneider says:

One other thing I was really impressed with was when Dawk, Haggan, and Williams went out we had guys to step right in and make plays. Shows that our guys are “All Ready” (RIP Darrent). It shows that they all have the hunger….

  5. oldsouthstander says:

A murmer runs through the crowd. Can it be true? He’s coming back to revive his hit? YES!!! There he is now , Jon Keyworth and he’s got ready to belt out “Make those miracles happen.” (Don’t have any idea what I’m talking about? Ask any Bronco fan who was here for the ’77 Broncos run to the Super Bowl.).
This team has the same chemistry and love and respect for their coach as the ’77 Broncos did for Red Miller. YYEEESS!!!
    What an incredible game!!!
    Report card time:

    Special teams:

Kicking coverage: B+ Sproles got past the 30 only once. What’s with Prater? Got to the endzone only once.
    Punting coverage: F GGGAAAHHHH!!!!
Kicking return: B+ Great blocking on one play, rest were nothing to hang your hat on.
    Punting return: B+ See above.

    OFFENSE:

QB A+ As close to a perfect game as you could hope for.

RB: C+ Not spectacular, but good enough to keep the Chargers honest.

WR: A As usual, everybody involved in the game. Great to see Sheff have a breakout game.

OL: A- Exceptional pass protection. Still suck on third an one. Too predictable.

    DEFENSE:

DL: B+ Not very effective agianst Rivers passing efforts in the first half.
Kept Rivers totally out of sync in the second half. Excellent run rotection.

LB: A Excellent gap control. Doom, number one!!

SECONDARY: B Not effective in first half, but tightened up thier coverage in the second half.

  6. broncofanlvnm says:

Great game! I’m so excited about this team. They are awesome. The D has been steady throughout the season doing especially well in the 2nd half. Only 10 2nd half pts allowed in six games (Cincy – 7 and SD – 3). Plus the O has been improving game to game. I noticed there have not been any Orton bashers talking trash this week, and rightfully so, he had another outstanding game. He’s not playing like a “game manager” like everyone makes him out to be. When we need to win late, we can trust in Orton and the rest of the offense.

Props to Royal on the kick and punt return TD’s. It’s been a long time since we have a TD from our ST and to see two in one game was outstanding! Props to DOOM on two more sacks (10 in all) and causing another fumble! It was great to see the D put so much pressure on Phillip cry me a Rivers getting 5 sacks in all. This guy is headed to the pro bowl and is on pace to break the NFL season record for sacks. Props to the secondary for making the adjustments to help shut them down in the second half. Props to the coaches, props to the fans, props to the bloggers. I’m out of props. Props to everyone!!!!

It’s bye week, get some rest guys and heal the injuries. Get ready for Baltimore with their #17 ranked D.

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!

  7. olderthandirt says:

hey has anyone noticed that sound of silence from the Orton bashers, pretty quiet. broncos hell of a TEAM

  8. broncofanlvnm says:

I know. I said it in my post above. Where’s Vabroncoguy?

  9. mad_orange_devil_27 says:

Great game! I love to watch this team play football, it’s so exciting. If Royal didn’t make those two big plays I don’t know if we would have came out on top like we did, Eddie is a real game changer. We have weapons all over the field, it’s something the league hasn’t been able to prepare for.

One good thing about a bye week, I can finally get some stuff done.

    GO ORANGE!

  10. broncofanlvnm says:

Without the 14 points from Royal’s return. We would have been down 3 pts, assuming the offense didn’t score on those possessions in the 1st half. I think we still would have come out with the win, maybe in OT but still have gotten the win.

  11. baylinorcrush says:

    Broncos 34 – Chargers 23

How did you measure up with your predictions?

This week, even so we had 29 guys making picks, no one got real close to the final score but four of you ought to feel pretty darn proud of how you evaluated the game with your picks.

    Best pick of the week:
    royalbroncofan1 34-17
6 points off final score, perfect Bronco score! Congrats.

3 way tie for second best picks of the week:
    D~J~C#24 30-20
    coachemup 31-27
    hometeam0074 27-23
All three 7 points off final score, not too shabby.

As far as the spread was concern, an honorable mention goes to the three following guys who got the 11 points perfect:
    rayjr26 24-13
    tjnartw 24-13
    southstands 27-16

Only one point off the spread with 10 points each:
    D~J~C#24 30-20
    dbroncos6 24-14
    PJBar357 27-17
    brian schneider 27-17
    TheRoyalBeast 27-17
    Marshall15law 27-17
    BroncoWildKansan 27-17

On the other end of the spectrum, we had three guys who obviously have a man crush on Orton, but their downfall was they had absolutely no respect for Rivers:
    Orange Crusher 38-0
    Broncomania56 35-6
    Ellismate#1fan 41-10

This week, the shame on you award goes to a guy who must live on a different planet, or at least on the other side of this one, LOL, because he picked the Chargers to WIN!!!!!!!:
    Ikiratuki 14-16 !!!!!!!

Next week, I’ll be keeping track of all picks made between Monday and Saturday. So if you pick BEFORE Monday, your pick will NOT be included here. I need my week off too, LOL.

  12. Broncfalls says:

    Hilarious!

So I’m sitting in my living room watching pregame. (Yeah, the wife forced me out of the bar for this one :)

Anyways, when they showed the powder blue turds jumping around causing some turmoil with our boys…I thought, “Uh…yeah that was smart!”

And guess who was in the middle of it all? Yep Mr. “Where’s #92″ Rivers!

…Well Phillip, how did your night go last night?…..it was cute though how you told your local media after the game that you’ll all bounce back and do what you need to do.

….Oh you will! I agree! you managed to bounce yourselves right out of the division! Nice try but here’s a thought you might want to start warming up to. There’s an NFL team in Colorado that has just taken it’s rightful seat atop the AFC West for years to come…wanna guess who it is?

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  13. L. M. Alzado #77 says:

I don’t always get a chance to post myself but I do read them all the time. I have to say that I am glad the Bowlen picked Josh also and I had wanted Spags – I was wrong on that one. It looks like I am going to be wrong about their record also and I picked them to be 10-6 and win the division.

  14. Broncfalls says:

    OH MY LORD!

BRONCO COUNTRY! I WANT TO LET YOU ALL KNOW. ANOTHER BRONCO FAN IS IN THE MAKING!

MY WIFE AND I FOUND OUT WE ARE EXPECTING OUR 3RD CHILD!

    * On a funny side not, as you can imagine My two kids (Jadyn 6 and Olivia 3) know that if they don’t cheer for the Broncos their dad will sell them on Ebay to the highest bidder!

With that said, my daughter asked me last night during the game the following:

As she is pointing to her moms belly “Daddy is the baby going to be a Bronco Person?”

    :) :) :) “Uh…without a doubt sweetheart!”

    Just wanted to share!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  15. camharland says:

    This says it all:
    6-0!!! BOOYAAA!!!

  16. L. M. Alzado #77 says:

I was watching the game with my mother-in-law (she is from Philly and is an Eagle fan), and about in the middle of the first quarter she asked me about the announcers and them being biased toward the Chargers. I told her that is the way it is going this year and that the experts don’t want to believe the Broncos are for real because they all said that the Broncos would only win 3 to 4 games. They don’t like to be wrong. All she could say was “I don’t get it”. Then during the game I told that this is a hard fought and good game. She told me yea but I wish they would get a couple fumbles and it was maybe two plays later that Rivers coughed it up the first time. I turned to her and said that she should have said that a long time ago.

  17. camharland says:

    BTW: Congrats Broncfalls!

  18. #24-PickSixAllDay says:

hey how come my name isnt on the picks list i said 27-24 broncos win and everyone thought i was crazy for sayin rivers would score 24 pts on us lol

  19. florio's_mom says:

These Denver Broncos deserve this bye work. YOU EARNED IT BOYS!!! I’m sure there will be a plethora of things we can work on over these two weeks.

Here is my breakdown of all the things we do well, then the things we need to work on.

    The Good Stuff-

    1. Second half adjustments. What ever McD says to the guys at halftime WORKS. We are a completely different team in the second half.

    2. Ball control. We continue to keep a grip on the ball. We only fumbled once and it was recovered by Ben Hamilton. And sitll only 1 pick by Orton. (More like half a pick)

    3. 100% total defensive domination. 5 Sack, 4 Forced fumbles. Held one of the Best QB’s to under 300 yards and only 1 TD. Kept LT to only 70 yards.

    4. Special Teams. With the eve of the trading deadline approaching. I was thinking about trading for a “legit” return man. (Cribbs, Parrish) But man oh, man was I proved wrong last night! TWO TD’S OFF OF SPECIAL TEAMS! It felt awesome. All I could think of is when Hester did it to us a couple years back. The coverage looked pretty good all night except for that one return by Sproles

    5. Spreading the ball. Remember when we had a QB that locked on to WR’s? Not any more. Great job by Kyle Outstanding by spreading it around. Sheff, Gaff, Bmarsh, Stok and the RB’s all got some of the ball. It kept their D honest.

Things We Need to Work On-

    1. Stop the screen. It seems like every week the other team can execute the screen perfectly.

    2. Short yardage situations. The running game seemed stuffed on third and short. Also, the passing game seemed awkward on third and short.

    3. Field Goals. Matt needs to check himself. It seems like he is our weakest link. He has the power, but he needs to work on his accuracy and confidence.

(those are all i could think of)

    BTW

Did anyone notice how much Jon Gruden was kissing the chargers butts?

    Gosh that was annoying.

  20. lostfan says:

    hey florios mom,

the 3 reasons gruden was kissing chrager butt:
    1. he wants to coach again.
    2. he likes warm weather.
    3. he wants to coach the chargers.

  21. baylinorcrush says:

#24picksixallday, you were 8 points off, close but not enough to make it on the list. I had it down to the guys who were 7 points off or better, can’t list everyone.

  22. raidrhadr says:

oldsouthstander: That is hilarious!!! My sister and I were just talking about that Jon Keyworth song the other day. What a coincidence.

    Broncfalls: Congrats!!! Funny stuff too.

florio’s_mom: I agree with your analysis. Don’t forget though that Ben Hamilton has had two awesome DTs to deal with 2 weeks in a row. That I believe has had an impact on our short yardage running game.

What a great win for our boys….6-0 baby!!!! Let the guys rest then bring on the Ravens.

GO BRONCOS!!!! South Stands Forever!!! The Orange Crush Lives!!

  23. brian_schneider says:

@baylinorcrush: Hey, my pick for this week is the Broncos win by a score of 0-0. LOL!!!

  24. baylinorcrush says:

brian, you lose, that would go down as a tie! LOL. I can assure you we will not lose this week though.

  25. broncofanlvnm says:

Congrats Broncfalls! I guess that’s why she kept you out of the bar huh daddy?

  26. superbowlboundbroncos says:

Wow, I just read on nfl.com that the guy who fell from the press box has passed away due to the injuries he sustained from the fall. How sad, heres the story.

Peace be upon him and my prayers are with his family

  27. superbowlboundbroncos says:

Did you happen to see the fall Gray? If you did, I know tragic stuff like that can have an impact on someone and I hope everyone else who was there and witnessed it is OK.

  28. baylinorcrush says:

superbowlboundbroncos, so what’s your old handle?

  29. Broncfalls says:

Thanks broncofanlvnm & radrhadr! appreciate your thanks very much!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  30. superbowlboundbroncos says:

    Baylinor

What do you mean whats my old handle?

  31. Ikiratuki says:

Yeah! I got the shame award! lol I just thought we had a real challenge that might have ended in a loss. It could have happened if not for my favorite player on the offense or special teams now as well: Royal!!!!!!!!!!!!

  32. baylinorcrush says:

superbowlboundbroncos, I mean a name like yours is most likely based on our record now, we’re 6-0 so you think we might be going to the super bowl. It sure wouldn’t be a name you would come up with before the season started, so you are either a new blogger or an old one with a new name. I thought you were the latter.

Ikiratuki, nice to see you here and taking it like a man, LOL.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has bought any jerseys from jerseysrus.com? I am about to buy some from them and would just like some input out of anyone who has gotten jerseys from this site. Also, are they officially authentic just like the real thing?? Any help or info would be very appreciated!

baylinorcrush: Thanks for posting the predictions. Beginners luck for me. I didn’t pay attention really until the final snap was taken, and then later remembered.
It was funny listening to Mike Tirico who should have a roster handy, call Ronnie Fields, Reynaldo Fields.. (Safety Reynaldo Hill, who got the first sack on Safety blitz) or vise versa. The new no name Defense…. Wow – what a great effort and really wore them down, with the rotation of the front three!! (Keep em fresh) :-)
Kudos to Kyle Orton for executing the offense and stepping up in the 2nd half. Orton his doing great!! Good to see Buckhalter back…ran hard!
Glad to see Tony Scheffler have a great game. I’ve always liked this guy and he has had great games in the past vs. the Chargers. (Great matchup). Thought Stoke would see more action but glad to see him get a score at the end. Hillis came into block for Moreno and helped him get a first down on Morenos dive… whew. So glad to see Eddie have a breakout game on ST. We were doing the chant at home, just like the live games at Invesco when Royal drops back on ST… EDDIE, EDDIE, EDDIE (a spinoff from the “Rudy” chant). ST did awesome scoring the two but did give up one to Inch High Private Eye (Sproles). You were right baylinor about ST! :-)
Coach McDaniels and Coach Nolan – turning out to be a great partnership!

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Correction to my earlier post. It as Andre Goodman on a corner blitz who had the first sack, not Reynaldo Hill.

rbf1, yeah, it was in the middle of the 2nd quarter and it resulted in a 3 and out. Goodman had a real good game, I bet the guys who questionned his abilities after last week will be quiet this week.

Actually I made this name about 2-3 seasons ago and no I do not have 2 accounts. I just haven’t commented this year as much as I did last year because of schoolwork. Matter of fact, I along a small handle of others were about the only ones here to not jump to conclusions when the first major off season headline for the Broncos came about. I won’t get too deep into the past because there’s no point in doing so. Only those fans who stuck with the team through off season know who they are. I find it interesting you point out my name now, and not a year ago or before we were even 1-0.

  39. baylinorcrush says:

superbowlboundbroncos, the reason is simple, I wasn’t here last year, I was blogging on a different website, I joined here in the summer and this is the first time I saw your handle. Thanks for clarifying, so you picked the handle while we thought we had a pretty good team with Shanny and Cutler, can’t blame you, I still have a Cutler jersey in my closet…

Come to think of it, it would be pretty ironic if your handle comes true with McD and Orton, it would really show us all, what do we know? LOL.

The old John Keyworth song (wow) I might have to pull that out and play that because everyone(before the season couldn’t see us doing this well and it would be a mirical!)Well McD ,Staff & players are making it happen.I thought maybe a couple of years at least of rebuilding to get back to a playoff team. That couple of years went by fast! lol what a change the team has made especially the Def. I’m lovin It!!!
