HEAD COACH JOHN FOX
On if he’s proud of how the team persevered
“Yeah, we knew this was going to be a tough game and a team that is (coming in) on three losses in a row and had a bye week. You’re kind of coming into a hornets nest, and they’re a talented football team. You saw examples of that out there today. (They are) well-coached, I think Marvin (Lewis) had them ready to play. I was proud of our guys just to hang in there and find a way to get that score at the end.”
On Manning keeping his composure despite two interceptions
“He’s special. As far as having a guy under center in that fourth quarter when a lot of games are won and lost in this league, he finishes the race pretty well.”
On using Miller creatively leading to success
“He does a lot of it on his own too. He is a very gifted player. We’re proud to have him here with the Denver Broncos. He came up big. We had our moments defensively as well, and he was part of those positive moments, along with Champ getting that big interception late.”
QUARTERBACK PEYTON MANNING
On keeping his composure
“I’ve certainly been there before. My dad always talked about, ‘You have to get back to level 0. You have to erase the play from your mind – a good play or a bad play – and move on to the next one. Not the scenario that we wanted. Any time that you’re on the road and you have a chance to put a team away, you’d like to. You hate to give them a little life, which we did, and give credit to them for responding. But, when we had to, our team responded as well and that was important.”
On common traits that good fourth-quarter QBs have
“I don’t know. I think all football players, when the fourth quarter comes around, the pressure is on – that’s when you want to rely on your fundamentals and techniques. I had an old coach tell me, ‘That’s why you treat practice like a game. Put yourself in those pressure situations during the week, so when those fourth quarters come around, you feel like you’re prepared.’ I think we can draw on this type of game today. We knew it was going to be tough and we have another tough road game next week, so it was good to come out with a win today.”
On how close the Broncos are to being an elite team
“All we are is 5-3. There’s nothing beyond that. We have to go back on the road next week. We have a lot of things we can improve on. I think we have been practicing better and that’s something we need to continue to do – not having one good week and then an off week. I think you do get better in practice. I think this team needs to go through different scenarios, needs to have one of these tight second half games. The more you can go through it as this unit, the more you can draw on it later in the season. Any time you can win going through those scenarios, that’s obviously a plus.”
WIDE RECEIVER BRANDON STOKLEY
On falling behind
“Just keep on pushing, keep on executing. Just execute a little bit better. There was no panic. We made some plays when we had to. Any time you come on the road in this league and play a good defense and good team like that, it’s going to come down to the end. So it was good for us to have to make some plays there.”
On 5-3 entering the second half of the season
“We feel good about where we are right now. We feel like we’re improving. We’ll keep that mindset going forward and keep improving and keep working on what we need to work on to get better. Every week’s different. Every week’s tough. We’ll have a tough one next week.”
On the team coming from behind on the road
“It’s tough in the NFL to win games on the road. They’re a real good team, physical, good defense. We’ve got a lot of character. We’ve got to get better and correct the mistakes and get ready for next week.”
CORNERBACK CHAMP BAILEY
On going up against Cincinnati receiver A.J. Green
“This is why I play. Guys like him. A new guy coming into the league, making a name for himself, I want those challenges. He’s one of the best. I don’t care that he scored on me. I don’t like it, but at the same time I’ve got to move on. I’ll just look at the tape, try to correct my mistakes and just go from there.”
On his interception providing redemption
“Absolutely. Anytime somebody scores a touchdown on you, you want to get a little redemption. It’s good to get it in this game.”
On WR Trindon Holliday’s return
“One thing that made me smile today was Trindon Holliday. If we can get plays like that on special teams, that’s the difference in having a great season and a good season.”
WR TRINDON HOLLIDAY
On whether he got winded during his 105-yard touchdown return
“I wasn’t winded at all. I was ready to do it again.”
On his teammates after the touchdown
“They were very excited. They told me they’ve been waiting on that. I just tried to make something happen for my team.”
On whether anyone has ever caught him from behind
“No, never.”

WOW!! Another spectacular win for the Broncos!!! You go Champ! the best in the game.. Very classy.. admit he was scored and proved why he is the best in his position..
VOOOOOONNN was a monster with those 3 sacks! so was WOodyard again with all those tackles…sweet jesus! did I mention the O-Line didnt give up a sack either??? Fantastic! Best OL this season hands down!
Pretty certain I get points on Turtles contest. I am one point off on the total. BeenGals always play the Broncos tough. We said that but most of you still had huge spreads on your “official guesses”. So how did you do???
Oh, my pick was 28 / 27 Broncs.
So, how do we like Holiday???
* scored on
DB, I love HOLLIDAY!!!! It’s Holliday season, don’t ya know?
John Fox’s comments about Manning always leave me LMBO!!!!
On whether anyone has ever caught him from behind
“No, never.”
I was a little peeved with that show once he got out in front, but excited that we had a run-back. 5’5″??? He plays bigger than that!
I gotta run – I’ll check back in later.
Good win today. Didn’t get to watch it however.
On a sidenote, how about doug martin. For those who remember. I was trying to get him to be a bronco harder than anyone, took notice of him long before the analysts did and were still ranking the likes of lamar miller and etc above him. Man is a beast and could have been our future RB. Wolfe not too shabby either tho i suppose.
TRB
TRB good on ya for recognizing talent. However, playing the “I wish I/we had done this other thing” will torture you to death. We got a good team.
Martin went beast mode on the Raiders fo sho.
Denver still has some slop to work out. Good thing the remaining schedule allows room for error while still getting wins.
Get well soon Kupe!
Oh yeah. Joe Mays was severely missed on ST.
GOOD JOB BRONCOS..I AINT WORRIED BOUT THAT TD CHAMP GAVE UP..WR’S GOING MAKE PLAYS AND SOME ARE LUCKY BUT CHAMP DONT LET IT FAZE HIM HE COMES RIGHT BACK AND PICKS OFF DALTON..
As a LSU fan…. At least something good happened this weekend in reference to LSU! I was soooooooooo excited when we signed Doc Holliday and today he made me even more excited. I can’t say I had the feeling that he would break one this game, but man did I ever hope. Then he came through!!
I’ve felt all week that this was the first of 2 trap games, the next one being next week against the Panthers. Trap game 1 is behind us and now it’s time to build towards the next one.
Can we get a quote from Knowshow Moreno? Oh wait He didn’t play again…..Can we get a quote any way?
Tough road win. This team just won’t give up. That is what most impresses me. They play 60 minutes and it so refreshing to see that again in the Broncos. Peyton is right. They can use this game as a learning tool now and down the road too. When you can win on the road without your A game the way they did yesterday is a good thing and I am sure they will use it as fuel.as they practice this week. Go, Broncos and demolish.the Panthers!!!
