Here we are at the top of Candlestick Park, sitting in the press box. The first preseason game of the Broncos’ 2009 campaign kicks off in two hours, and you can already sense the anticipation.
Plenty of Broncos are already out on the field warming up, many of whom have on their uniform pants. Ben Hamilton, Joshua Bell, Nate Swift and Lonie Paxton are just a few of the players tossing the ball around, jogging and stretching.
There aren’t any fans in the stadium quite yet, but there could be quite a crowd — as it’s a beautiful day for football. In fact, here’s a weather report for the game:

Zach Eisendrath is on the field taking some pregame photos, which we’ll post in this blog in a while. Stay tuned, and when the game kicks off, we’ll have a live blog so you can follow all of the action.
6:37 p.m. PDT: Back with Zach’s pictures.
6:38 p.m. PDT: Interesting tidbit — as more players entered the field, the players that were already on the field came to greet them, and the team formed a big huddle before drills began.
6:40 p.m. PDT: Now the team is running through a few actual plays with 11 offensive players against 11 defensive players.
The other defensive backs are off to the side, and Vernon Fox is dancing to the song blasting through the speakers — Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On.”
6:45 p.m. PDT: We’re about 15 minutes away from the scheduled kickoff. The players are all off the field, and there’s a giant 49ers helmet being inflated right now in one end zone.
6:57 p.m. PDT: The Broncos are on the sideline, and the 49ers are getting ready to run through the inflatable helmet.
For those of you who have checked out our live blogs in the past, we’ll be doing things slightly differently this year. As you might notice when you click over to the first half live blog, we’re using a new program that should update the posts for you automatically. If it seems like it’s been a while since the last update, just refresh the page like you normally would. The other difference is that we will only have a first half and second half live blog as opposed to dividing it up into four quarters.

Just got back from work and dont have computers in front of me. just heard Bmarsh got found not guilty like i thought he would. I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED THIS IS BEHIND US. Hope he learned not to ever put himself in such situations again. Get Married, don’t fight her, Get healthy, get a contract, whoop as on the football field.
Can’t wait for this game, actually gonna get it over here on the east coast. First look at our team, train wreck or brilliance….hopefully the Latter.

The D looked pretty good on that first series minus a few missed tackles.
Defense did pretty well. Dline defintely got some sacks but then again, SF oline was most sacked on last year. But I like how the 3-4 is working for us. Can see the intensity in the front sven. Dunno about reynaldo hill, whether he blew coverages or w/e but this is a learning expiriece. Didnt do too bad and this is without BDAWK. Now lets see our offense…..
Caramelloo I see you champ. We looking kinda good at the first series. I like Buckhalter. Let me see hill or Knowshawn though.
I think we can see who is the go to WR. In the game plan.
My hommie Greatness007 how are ya and how ya been man? Yeah I was nervous to see our D but they made me feel good after that 1st round. I like what the Offense is doing so far. Chipping away!
Running game look suspect. I been good though. Stayed off here for a min. People on here got the Lil dude UUB in trouble. He was the one messing with the Phillip Rivers web site. I have not heard from him seen. That a felony so you can imagine what happened. Since they going like that on here. I let them have there web site. I don’t be on here like that. So it’s ok.

I am still a cutler fan as well but its orton all the way now. What orton needs now isnt condeming but approval. Being told YOU ARE THE GUY. It was what cutler wanted as well. It is what all QBs/ players want.
Orton messed up but we just need to still fine tune redzone offense and hillis was clearly open on TD play i think…..anyway, lets see some more D
D is doing well. Dline definitely showing some pass rush….Phonzy doesnt look as fast as i thought he was…expectd him to be blazing on that punt return. But i am proud of D. CLearly we are not play best offense in league but I like the aggressiveness I am seeing up front and doing well should boost their morale.
We are such a question mark right now. All we need is to increase morale to the peak and the skies the limit.

And ORTON with another interception…not quite ready to pull out the “I told you so card” or the “Werent yall saying cutler was the INT thrower”?….either way, its a new system, no matter what QB was running it with the exception of a NE QB….it would be tuff to run and pick up…this is what preseason is for….to learn where you need to work on. But the media and fans are gonna have a field day with this if orton keeps messing up…Kinda hard to do worse than 2 INTs in first half…I hope. GO BRONCOS

Yeah I love Moreno’s energy! Orton is focusing too much on Stoke! I love Stoke but that’s what got Cutler in trouble last year when he always focused on Marsh.
Focusing too much on one player definitely makes prediciting the QB alot easier. Orton has alot of weapons, he needs to be patient and find them. I think he is too used to a crappy oline that gets him sacked in less than 3 secs that he doesnt know how to take advatage of our awesome O line. When Bmarsh comes he will definitely make Ortons job easier

It’s gonna be a bad day tomorrow. The media is gonna have a field day. San Fran D is not that good. We might seen the last of Orton tonight. I think He is to hyped. Trying to hard to look good.
