The Broncos have signed defensive lineman Justin Bannan, the team announced on Wednesday.
Bannan, who played for Denver during the 2010 season, has totaled 303 tackles, 6.5 sacks, one interception, 10 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 144 career appearances.
He has spent time with Buffalo (2002-05), Baltimore (2006-09), Denver (2010) and St. Louis (2011) after being selected in the fifth round of the 2002 draft by the Bills.
Bannan made 32 tackles last season for the Rams in 15 games played (14 starts). He has played at least 15 games in each of the past five seasons.
As a 16-game starter with the Broncos in 2010, Bannan made 35 tackles to go with one sack, four pass breakups and one forced fumble.
A four-year starter at the University of Colorado, Bannan finished his college career with 158 tackles and eight sacks, earning first-team All-Big 12 Conference honors as a senior.

Bannan will be a good rotational player for sure… but hes not the starter that broncos country has been looking for…. as of now Vickerson, Bannan, Unrein are all rotational players… Warren COULD be a starter if he returns to old form which has yet to be proven…. we need to find that starter EARLY in this draft

We have our Spring PeeWee meeting today… I know for a fact that half my little dudes will need some 1 on 1 counsel about the whole Tebow being gone thing… It’s harder for them because they have no idea who Elway even is, or what he has done for the city of Denver… I try to explain to them, about how he is maybe different than most we hold to the same standards, and The lesson I really try to get through to them is this…

Brian your statement about the Bannan signing confused me. Not addressing DT yet signing one? But i get it now lol. I really think they will have a bunch of DTs on roster and instead of having to starters just play DT by committee. Subbing them in and out constantly in the game.
EFX has thrown a lot of screwballs out there for us. So who knows maybe theyll trade Champ and #25 to move up for Claiborne (Not going to happen I know just an example) I mean we just never know especially with EFX screwballs.
