Cornerback Champ Bailey might never play against or with his team’s offense on Sundays, but there are few people who know what the Broncos offense is capable of doing better than the veteran defensive back.
Bailey, along with the rest of the defense, goes toe-to-toe with the Broncos attack in practice every day. He’s confident the team can succeed with new starting quarterback Tim Tebow and a promising group of young receivers.
“Regardless of who they put behind center, we’re going to be behind him,” Bailey said. “I know (Head) Coach (John) Fox is going to do what’s best for the team. It’s going to be good to see what he can do out there starting earlier in the season than he did last year.
“I know the guy is a capable player. He can go out there and sling it around if he wants to, but we know what he’s good at and that’s what I expect to see from him.”
Bailey believes that the changes surrounding the offense in the last week have as much to do with the team’s overall record as it does the personnel.
“I’m sure a lot of it has to be due to the reaction of being 1-4 — we’re not playing good football right now,” the captain said. “You see them making the change and I didn’t expect anything different.”

Funny, no blog about Trading Lloyd, good thing we made our own, LOL.
Champs a team player.
Probably giving the young pro a few words of encouragement … probably also saying things like ” from a cornerbacks perspective … this is the best way to beat a good defender” and stuff like that.
I expect nothing less from our team and from professionals … when Orton was behind center they backed him … if it were quinn or weber they would do the same but im sure they are glad to see TT get the start because he brings an element none of our other QBs can.
The only one that cares if he passes are probably his recievers and tight ends. Rest don’t care if he runs punts passes as long as there are results.
All I looks for are steady improvements in his qb play. All I can ask for.

Champ has seen a lot of offenses in his time. I hope he’s not just being modest about the new offense and that he is telling the truth about the new Tebow lead offense. Sunday can’t come soon enough!! In my opinion, it will be a ‘rest of the season’ deciding game. Miami should be tired after they the Jets defense wears them down tonight. I wish they would send Orton to Miami so that the fans could finally cheer for Orton to get sacked

I think that comes back to trusting the other 10 guys on your team to make plays and not trying to do everything himself. I believe Elway said something to that liking, not sure on the exact quote.
I remember being pissed when we treaded Portis. We really got the better end of that one.

Champ is a constant go to guy. It’s guys like him that deserve a championship. I really hope we can give him so hope for something like that.
On the new offense – we need to incorporate the old fashion Shanohan play-action roll out. There wasn’t one quarterback that didn’t do the roll out to perfection under Shanohan. Hopefully Fox can incorporate something like that. Tebow was built for it

We still need to do all the other things as well to win. I think that Tebow may be a piece of the puzzle but he’s not the solution. We still need to continue to improve in the areas that we control, turnovers, penalties, and execution.

Beast, while we shouldn’t stop Tebow from being Tebow, especially when it’s time for someone to step and carry the team, Tebow himself wants to improve as a pocket passer, and because of the way that teams want to gameplan for him, he can really take advantage in the passing game. The when they adjust – run it all over ‘em! But I’m all for whatever works we both know Tebow will do whatever works because he wants that W more than anyone.
I just wish some of your teammates would follow your lead Champ. And get behind you…

This is the best thing that can happen for Tim. He knows he’s capable, but when the day comes that he knows he has 100% confiction and support from his team mates it will be like a truck rolling down hill, you won’t be able to stop it!
Having this veteran and others coming out and saying “We’re gonna rock it with Tim!” it’s huge! The more support he feels the more comfortable he’ll be to an already fragile situation.
Is it me or can you feel the swagger getting turned up on this team just a little? huh….just a little bit…..LOL!

Champ is the man, and his endorsement is all I need to hear to give me hope for this team.
Tebow is not run first QB. When Orton was starting and Tim came on the field. Those were called run plays most of the time. Orton out wide lets me know that. That means if orton was out wide and Tebow went back to pass. He would only have half the field to work with. Tebow can stand in the pocket and pass.
If Tebow was a run first QB. He would have ran for 80 against the Chargers. He had so many lanes when he dropped back to pass.
Is it just me or do someone else thinks Champ is pointing to DT. Telling Tebow thats his man. lol If I was the Coaches I would have Bailey on DT all week in practice.

Just in case yall didn’t know. Eddie asked for a trade becuz he thought he would be the odd man out. Thinking Brandon was gonna stay. Eddie asked to be traded first! When news came of everyone coming back. He has now backed off trade demands.
Jeff Legwalg was just interviewed on850 KOA, the beat writer for the Denver Post. Legwald says that there is not one team interested at this point for WR Eddie Royal. He claims it`s because of his decline in production and injuries.

TT is just not what Carnage wants in a QB. I respect that he is willing to stick with his chosen team though he doesn’t prefer this type of QB.
On the other hand I have good news for Carnage. Tebow is going to have to throw the ball against Miami and against Detroit. Both of those teams are going to attempt to contain Tebow and he will have to throw.
We will win the Miami game because they won’t be able to contain both Tebow and McGahee – McGahee should have 3 TD’s. Tebow will throw for about 290 yards. I expect a turnover from Timmy but I expect him to pass for an additional 2 TD’s. Add a defensive TD and we will be looking good. Bay – you can put me down for DEN – 45 / MIA – 10. The coolaid tastes great! Tonight’s game won’t change my prediction.
I won’t predict the Lions game yet – will see how we do next Sunday.

So we traded B Loyd for a 4th round pick what a still for the Rams. Here have a pro bowl WR. should have gone for no less than a 3rd IMO.
So whats next E. Royal wants out to, guess they will send him out for a 7th round pick with the clause that if he catches 30 they want a 6th round pick. Royal should go for no less then a 3 IMO.

Footballmaniac it was about as good as it’s gonna get. Brandon was not coming back next yr. So they got a chance of getting a 5th or 6th. Rather than he sign with someone else and get a 7th for sure. If you think randon was gonna come back for less that 4 to 5 min a yr isn’t the case. He never ever got a pay day in his whole carwwe. So he is going for that now and the Broncos were not going to pay him that. They have been in talk about resigning him all season.
