Bailey Backs Offense

October 17th, 2011 - 2:22pm by Kenny Legan

Cornerback Champ Bailey might never play against or with his team’s offense on Sundays, but there are few people who know what the Broncos offense is capable of doing better than the veteran defensive back.

Bailey, along with the rest of the defense, goes toe-to-toe with the Broncos attack in practice every day. He’s confident the team can succeed with new starting quarterback Tim Tebow and a promising group of young receivers.

“Regardless of who they put behind center, we’re going to be behind him,” Bailey said. “I know (Head) Coach (John) Fox is going to do what’s best for the team. It’s going to be good to see what he can do out there starting earlier in the season than he did last year.

“I know the guy is a capable player. He can go out there and sling it around if he wants to, but we know what he’s good at and that’s what I expect to see from him.”

Bailey believes that the changes surrounding the offense in the last week have as much to do with the team’s overall record as it does the personnel.

“I’m sure a lot of it has to be due to the reaction of being 1-4 — we’re not playing good football right now,” the captain said. “You see them making the change and I didn’t expect anything different.”

    LMAO@TRB!

TRB, well seeing as Zelda is the best game franchise of all time, I – as well as everyone else – am obligated to be a fan. I’ve even designed one of my tattoos…The Zeldrum…a mixture of the Zelda logo and a drum where the Triforce would normally be (I’m a drummer).

    But not a gay drummer.

It probably is not something to laugh about – I’ll bet McD is sitting in the Rams GM office, right now, just drooling over Orton.

  5. strandoftds says:

Sean, do you play a double or single bass?

  6. MarshMelo15 says:

Oh man I can’t wait til Sunday!!! It’s time to see what Tebow can do. I’m sensing GREAT things to come. Go out there and give ‘em hell Broncos!

  7. strandoftds says:

Do it! trade Orton to the Rams. LOL

  8. Greatness007 says:

Royal and lloyd didn’t want out cuz of Timmy. Well not Royal anyway. Just l;ike Tim the staff wanna see Demaryius play more. To see what they have. It’s a contract yr for the both of them. If they not gonna get the time to show there worth. Then they wanted out. I think Royal is more in that last statement than Brandon. Seeing as Brandon was in a Pro bowl. That means Royal would be on the bench. Now hat Brandon’s gone. Royal has backed off his trade demands.
Like I said before with Brandon it would have been. Demaryius and Brandon at x/z and Decker in the slot. Without Lloyd it’s Demaryius and Decker at x/z and Royal in the slot.

BTW, when Bailey said the following above I wish he would of given a little more details:

“I know the guy is a capable player (Tebow). He can go out there and sling it around if he wants to, but we know what he’s good at and that’s what I expect to see from him.”

So, he won’t sling it around but Bailey expects him he to do what he is good at, meaning running the ball, scrambling, dumping it off, all of the above? Just not clear enough, maybe to confuse the Dolphins, haha.

strand, I use a double pedal. My band strays into metal territory often so yeah. But we end up playing a different genre every time we jam. It’s fun.

So here’s a picture of my wife (she’s wearing strange makeup here because she used to be part of my old band’s performances):

    Definitely not gay.

  11. strandoftds says:

Cool, I sang in a metal band in L.A. during the hair band days. We were along the likes of Iron Maiden and Judas Preist. Awesome days.

  12. Randy2191 says:

Espn is trip pin I was just watching and they said Denver could possibly get 1st round pick if Lloyd plays good and we are already in talk with Oakland for orton

  13. daddybronc says:

I liked Adam the rookie and could be happy with him as back-up but please don’t leave us stuck with Quinn.

Therefore I wanna keep Orton. QQ is over and Orton has ceased to be a threat. As long as Orton behaves himself in the locker room, I say keep and resign him next year. Tebow is going to need a solid back-up for a lot of years.

  14. Greatness007 says:

I hope Ryan was stalking a QB!!!! LMAO

  15. baylinorcrush says:

All of that planning makes sense only if Demaryius somehow completely becomes a different man overnight and remains healthy, long odds to say the least, don’t like them one bit, good thing we have Willis in the wings.

  16. savinghyrule says:

Our guitarist likes older metal like that. I say older…I apologize if you’re old. lol

  17. sndvl says:

Campbell is saying he hopes to return in 6 weeks. David Garrad is having surgery for a herniated disk…

  18. baylinorcrush says:

I mean I bet there isn’t a single fool in Fantasy who would want to have Demaryius on his team as is, not that I know anything about it, LOL.

  19. strandoftds says:

When a woman says no. No means no. some of these players think they are all of that and a bag of chips. NOT!!

  20. strandoftds says:

No worrys guy. I`m younger than Bay. LOL

  21. daddybronc says:

Anyone seeing any movement on a Royal trade?

  22. Randy2191 says:

In high school a dude broke his collarbone and was out 9 weeks so Campbell either must not of broke it to and or he heals quick.. I think it’s a diversion cuz he is scared a Palmer or or ton will come in do good and him lose his job

  23. daddybronc says:

Strand – I’m younger than Bay – and I’m the Daddy – LOL

  24. strandoftds says:

Not going to happen. No team is interested.

  25. strandoftds says:

Your a busy daddy. And YOU`Ve been BUSY! LOL

  26. Greatness007 says:

Oakland should let Pryor tryout for the starting job. He is off of suspension now!!!

  27. strandoftds says:

Not even. Prior hasn`t even taken a snap at practice hardly. He`d get crushed. Even though Kyle Boller sucks, he`s the QB.

  28. Greatness007 says:

If Oakland wants Orton I say we trade him there. If he thinks fans screaming Tebow is the worst. Wait till he get to the blackhole and play like he did for us. He might get stabbed. I seen live in the Blackhole a fan get stabbed up. Just for wearing the opposing teams jersey.

  29. daddybronc says:

If we can trade Quinn first – then Orton and leave Adam as back-up…I like!

  30. Greatness007 says:

I did say tryout not give it to him. lol Talking about Pryor.

  31. strandoftds says:

Daddy, I have only one brother and he`s 2 years younger and a pain in the Butt. Hats off to ya. As for my father, he has 10 siblings and was born on a farm in South Dakota. My hats off to my Grand Pa And Grams. How in the world do they do it, my God? Anyway, life is good.

  32. daddybronc says:

It sounds like Raiders are serious about Orton. Media hype?

  33. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Hyrule .. Cool man … I also think Zelda is the greatest. Especially Ocarina of Time … IMO. Still mad I never finished it … was close to the end too. But my 64 is long gone which means i would have to start over from the beginning again lol … and just messign with u on the gay thing … it was just a funny statement about royal lol.

Raiders might watn Orton?!?!?! WOOOOOOOOOO nothing like trading him to our enimies and getting to sack him twice a year lol. If Al Davis was still here this trade would never go down … still might not but if all we can get for Orton is a 5th … take it … he will walk for nothing. Thats wh I aint mad at the broncos for getting a 5th for lloyd … hoped for better but oh well. 5th round picks can add some good depth to our team.

    TRB

  34. strandoftds says:

Thats a big chunk of change for a QB who`s struggling. He`s still owed, what about 5.5 million?

  35. Greatness007 says:

Is it me or does Andy Lendall just hate Tebow and loves Andrew Luck??

  36. sndvl says:

Two fifths!!! I like the sound of that!!!!!!!’

  37. strandoftds says:

Andy Lendall comes across angry all of the time. I don`t care to much to listen to him. He snaps to easy.

  38. milehighmagic88 says:

I go away for a couple hours and come back to find two brand new blogs! Things never get dull around here, LOL.

But Champ is my absolute favorite Bronco. I love to hear what he says about anything and everything. I think we can take this as somewhat of a PR blog by the website staff to quell any anger fans might be feeling about the Lloyd trade.

That said, I’m not complaining one bit. Like many of you have said Champ is a team player and a class act and I’m glad he’s on our side. Loving the picture of him talking to Timmy too. I hope Tebow soaks up every word “the captain” says… the guy knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a pro.

  39. milehighmagic88 says:

    Oh and…

    ZELDA!!

I now know which bloggers are in my age group, ha ha.

  40. Greatness007 says:

If I had a dollar for everytime I heard a person say “I like Tebow. That’s someone I would want me Daughter to marry. Just not QB my franchise.” I’d Own the Broncos.

  41. daddybronc says:

I was one of six and my wife only one of two – she’ll tell you I was nuts at home until our kids started making noise. I love having a big family.

Not Mormon or Catholic – our family is a lot like the Duggers on TV – except I am not a nice guy like JimBob Dugger.

One thing I didn’t expect is how easy parenting gets when you do a good job with the first kids. They get old enough and it’s smooth sailin’.

I got PITButt brothers too but there is no one I’d rather watch football with or go hinting with than my brothers. We argue like Carnage on Carnage – but we are still brothers! LOL

  42. Greatness007 says:

They are also talking DJ to Philly which I dont think thats gonna happen. I do think Woodyard had out played him to this point. I thought Woodyard was our best tackler when he was starting.

  43. Greatness007 says:

I do think we should trade Bdawk to Philly though.

  44. daddybronc says:

    Leave Dawk alone!

  45. strandoftds says:

    Daddy, cool to know.

  46. buck484 says:

Please no more talk of trading Dawkins he is too valuable on and off the field. I feel better after Champs approval. I value his opinion.

  47. milehighmagic88 says:

I just realized that picture is out of context. It’s definitely from training camp because they have their last names on their helmets, there are fans in the grass in the background, and it’s really sunny and warm looking as opposed to the dark rainy day they had at dove valley today.

  48. milehighmagic88 says:

Oh wait they always have their names on their helmets this year. But it’s still from training camp because of the other two reasons I mentioned.

  49. badluck727 says:

Thank god none of you have trading power. There would not be a team left

  50. Crush Arizona says:

Trading Orton to Oakland would be stupid to do because you don’t want a Division rival getting the playbook on O, not that they probably know it already…….Just saying is all. Don’t worry Tebow will do great things as a Bronco, he’s our guy. nuff said…GO BRONCOS SQUISH THE FISH!!!
