Ayers you are finally showing some of what you can do in the 43 to all the ones who have basically kind of given up on you. BFE and I have been your most ardent supporters from the start, I even picked you right in the draft for our second pick that year, and I can’t wait til you show the no sayers wrong. Good game yesterday!
One blog after the other all day and very few bloggers to enjoy them, too bad.
yea robert looks like your enjoying the edges where you belong. havin some fun? what do you most enjoy about planting your hand in the dirt?
I got Robert ayers autograph when I went to Denver to watch the Broncos practice, really cool dude.
Here’s a question: What would happen if you put TT in at QB and Orton in the slot or WR. I’m sure that Tim wouldn’t look his way either. Ha ha! If the play broke down, Tim would more than likely have to jump over his ars to get the FD!
As I’ve said, the next game will tell us SO much – 1st road game, depleted roster, tough team, new QB for them who’s going great guns … we’ll have to dig deep …
Hey – Sam Bradford looks a lot like a QB we’ve all come to love (to hate?) … great mid-field, terrible in the RZ … right?? … he – it happens … it takes others making plays to make an offense work …
Legwold about our penalties:
Heading into tonight’s NFL game there are four teams with at least 17 penalties flagged and accepted in the first two weeks of the season:
The Vikings at 0-2 with 17 accepted penalties.
The Seahawks at 0-2 with 17 accepted penalties.
The Raiders at 1-1 with 23 accepted penalties.
The Broncos, at a tenuous 1-1, with 17 accepted penalties.
That is not the company the Broncos want to be keep.
Yeah but Bradford now has an excuse, McD is his OC, haha.
Was J. Thomas not able to return yesterday?
No, he will be out two weeks they say.
was it his ankle? Thank you
is royal out for six weeks?
Hey Robert! Great game yesterday keep it up!
Glad Ayers was able to make an impact. Next man up, right! I say keep it up. It can only get better with the return of a healthy Elvis, healthy Marcus, healthy DJ, healthy Champ. Did I miss anybody? (Lol, yeah)
GO BRONCOS in 2011, Tackle Tough in Tennessee!
(by that I mean we need our offensive and defensive tackles to tough up and be our impact players this week!)
just got done watching MNF and im LMA0, Because maybe its not orton that cant get it done between the tweeties. Everyone thinks its orton and just watched the plays called from mccheeseburger with onions, mk the same calls he did in denver. The annoucers said the same thing, but know bradfords being blamed for the samething Orton has been blamed for. Denver fans besides the fact that orton dont scramble hes not making the callls, why is all the blalme on him, I just watched Mcdaniels mk these calls so give fox a chance.
Ayers is getting the feel of his old position back, should have never been an OLB in the 1st place,DE is his position!!!
Keep getting better bro,and make us old Vol fans proud!!!
Great game btw!!!
I remember me and bay had you picked in the mock draft, and WE were the main 2 that kept telling everyone you would fit better at DE!
Lol millertime! I was thinking the same thing. So glad he’s gone.
While Orton is no Tom Brady, at least he’s not Jay Cutler…
Orton definitely had a good game. Sure he had the fumble. Turnovers happen in the NFL. I saw many QBs commit multiple turnovers this week.
Ayers,I loved watching you play at UT,I guess I’m supposed to ask a question,so here goes, what do you think is the hardest part of transitioning from DE to OLB?
Bay your like the ring leader, im starting to think your cup is half empty. You basicly give no bronco support , you make fun of people that you think has no knowledge, and dont support any effort the broncos give. Im sorry like i said last wk im knew to all this but all the negativity ive heared all day is making me sick to be a fan. Everyone wants to be a coach sorry your not , why question or doubt someone elses Intergrity thats bull bay. Im sorry anyone keeps asking you for Ifo, I ask you earlier for the list of Free agents and you didnt reply, and i was just doing it for someone else that asked the same question, but he called them restricted and you went in a different direction and made the guy fill stupid. Anyways Im a true bronco fan that will stand behind my team no matter what, but Amardillo you need to get lost, its people like you guys that have nothing better to do in life but to second guest people that are superior to you. Quoting a phrase CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG, man I love you guys but this team needs all of our support C MOM MAN
sndvl thanks bro were on the same page.
BFE, you’re supposed to submit the question as a video! Lol!!!!
I’m camera shy (lol, not really), so I’d submit my question to the tune of- Mr. Ayers, now that you’re back at your natural position, how have your responsibilities changed from the 3-4 OLB position when you were asked to “set the edge”?
And no need to thank me millertime! Just keep on Bronc-en on bro!!!!
Bloggers, coaches, the Front office. The way to cool the nay sayers, the bashing, etc is to win. The FO knows this. And even after winning, the 7-9, 8-8, 4-12, seasons have taken a toll on some of us in the fan base. To complain about the complaining is as hypocritical as it gets folks. Let’s make our arguments and move on.
interesting sndvl … that was very similar to a question of mine, if i were to ask one … but unlike u … i really am camera shy. Not much for the spotlight lol. TRB
Exactly steve, MILLERTIME2 let me break it down for you, (I had to learn the long way so here’s a shortcut because I don’t want you to be disheartened) when it comes to bay… I guess he’s best looked at (let’s use a cliché here) in the eye of the beholder. See, to some on here he’s looked at as being condescending and a complicated pessimist… Which is mostly true lol – I digress, but that’s what make’s him enjoyable ⎯ at least through my eyes, through the eyes of others though, well it’s a different story and he may come off as mean-spirited.
But you have got to really give this blog and bay (along with others) some time to understand the history he has with some on here because there are just some people that will NEVER mesh and that’s the way it is, which also makes this a great blog the reason being; If we all were to play the same role it would be completely boring and imo down right annoying.
If you’re looking for a place where you will never read the Broncos being criticized there is a place in Broncos Country for that its under the ‘Orange Sunglasses’ section, it might be best suited for you.
See THIS blog has several different opinions but we’re all equally passionate in different ways but for the same reason, the Denver Broncos. We all believe in this team some just show theirs’ in different ways. Some on here use tough love some on here use sympathy et cetera.
One thing I will let you know though, is that bay is head and shoulders above anyone else, the hardest working blogger here and that is something I think we can all agree with, as well as our eternal love for the Orange and Blue.
-Royalty
Point well made Royalty. Bay has fantastic knowledge no doubt and I often find he is one of the more realistic guys on this forum even if his view of the team comes across as negativity. I have been reading most of his post over the past three years, and there has been MANY…. In the beginning he came accros as negative to me as well, but I have certainly learned to respect his opinion even if I dont always entirely agree….
Bay I have been through most of the posts since the bengals game but I seem to have missed the result of this weeks score prediction. I know I was not that close with my prediction but I do enjoy reading who did well every week as well as wall of shame. Can you point me to the summary please.
I know this is a blog for the ask a Bronco, but I have a question for IT, or whoever can answer.
Where did the Gamebooks go? We use to have access to the game books and I loved going back each week and reading the play’s and results of the play’s and I can’t find them. They use to be in the media room.
Can someone please tell me where to find them, or is this information now kept a secret?
Please help Mr. Caldwell
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
I understand your point millertime2. It is a blog though, so first, don’t get too worked up over something that is said in response to a post of yours. Yes there are times when people disagree, and instead of just respectfully disagreeing, they attempt to make your point sound stupid. It’s whatever, there are plenty of bloggers on here who have different views and that’s what makes it enjoyable to read. At least for me that’s the case.
And there’s no need to rely on bay for information. Google, the DenverPost, etc. are just a click away lol.
Pessimism and realism has become a fine line to walk in reference to the Broncos. Don’t get discouraged

I think this is what you are looking for mondono
Hey lads, Bay keeps this blog flowing. Everything he posts is for a reason or relevant. He you could say puts a bit of order into what can be alot of random posts.
I think some of you guys take him the wrong way because his opinions are always backed by good rational. It dosent mean he is dissing you, he just reads and watches everything to do with our team. From this information he makes a judgement on were we are as a team. Nothing wrong with that. I don’t always agree with him but he certainly brings up alot of smart and interesting comments.
Broncosroyalty I see you mentioned condescending I see it more as humourus sarcasm lol.
Lets not get overly negative lads. Rome wasnt built in a day. And with the damage mcd did to this team, Fox and Elway have their hands full through no fault of their own.
I saw lets of fight in this team Sunday. I team that brings that every week will win games they shouldnt. They are the teams that eventually win the lot.
Go Broncos
So in the future,
Go to the homepage>media>history>2011
Miller Boy, I answered you, not once but twice, not my problem if you jump to the next blog and never go back to the blog you posted your question to check for an answer, that makes you my friend a waste of my time as far as answering anymore question of yours, I respect your opinion of me but you just gonna have to make the best of it without asking me any more question from now on is all.
And thanks to the bloggers who took the time to word what they appreciate what I do, it is very refreshing that some of you would stand up for me because as everybody knows I have NEVER EVER been here to win any sort of popularity contest, juts telling it like it is, the way this nearly 40 year Bronco fan sees our team and organization, no more no less, and since we have only won 1 playoff game in 12 years, have had mediocre records in 4 of the last 5 years and are coming off a 4-12 record hitting the bottom of the barrel on multiple categories, how in the wolrd does anyone look at things how they are and can help but sounding off with what some call negativity, that’s a pipe dream, that’s having your head burried in the sand, or drowning in orange kool aid.
And anyway yesterday I said a lot of positive things in my comments among some not so positive but of course some people see only what they want to see and that’s their loss. Open mind is a wisdom, not all that prevalent in some of the blogging world, the perfect place for some to act all macho when in fact they might be little men anywhere else in real life getting stepped on by everybody as they go, so it’s their revenge time, it is what it is and I’m used to it, thank god all the bigger guys can still stick out and there are plenty on this blog and you guys all know who you are.
On with the Broncos….
Collie, I agree, Baylinocrush, once again thanks for all of your hard work and effort you put into this blog with your info and keeping it all together with the contest you do. For some of us we have to remember, he doesn`t have to do this. I know I enjoy the above I stateted. We all get to share in the love for our Broncos, good or bad.
And according to Fox through Lindsay, we could have some good news this week:
Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, defensive end Elvis Dumervil, running back Knowshon Moreno and linebacker D.J. Williams could return to practice later this week. Lloyd’s return from a groin injury is crucial for the Broncos after wide receiver Eddie Royal and receiving tight end Julius Thomas suffered injuries against the Bengals.
Something else Bay is and that is Orange and Blue through and through! Sometimes I think he eats, sleeps, walks and talks orange and blue. Could not ask for a better team supporter. He, like the rest of us, do have opinions and state them on here. Not particularly to hurt feelings, but more to make a point. And also, there have been quite a bit of things that have been discussed here on these blogs, usually initiated by Bay, that Dove Valley has soon after changed policy or one of the writers have picked up on and written full stories on the subject. So, he, along with a bunch of others have been very instrumental in their blogging to get things done. We have ‘no fear’ of what we write on here (just as long as we keep it within the rules) and people do listen in high places.
Your welcome, you make this blog fun as well as other too.
I think some people get me, some don’t and that’s the nature of things, it takes all kinds, thank strand, collie, london, Royalty etc…
Brutally honost weatherman1.
It’s going to be hard to see Woodyard sent back to the bench when DJ is back. Woodyard has really been flying around the field. Nice to see a little glimmer of depth being developed on this roster.
And thanks to the weatherman too, and BFE even so he stayed away from this dirt but I know where is loyalty lies, and OC and many, many others, thanks for appreciating my work, because that’s what I do here, I don’t merely come on here once in a blue moon and throw out some hurtful things, I am serious about all this and committed to my Broncos all the way.
Broncos fans as a whole are as faithful as they (we) come. Broncos fans know their football. We pack the stadium in good times and the bad. I`m proud of my team.
And proud of our loyal fans also!!
BTW, Thomas suffered a high ankle sprain. Painful.
That is the only way to be strand. If we can’t be honest with or about each other then we need to get off this blog. Last I saw it is mostly all in fun anyway. That is what I like so much about it. We have the seasonal/weekly competition between us that we all get a kick out of along with all the other stuff. Heck, I feel that I have made quite a few bronco friends on here since I have been on. Things get really boring when confined to look at these same walls every day.
How long will he be out? 4-6 weeks?
I was listening to KOA once again and Dave Kreiger said that he saw Julius Thomas still walking on crutches and in a walking boot, so he`s out for 2-3 weeks at the least.
Weatherman1, Amen to that.
I was hoping to have Marcus Thomas back by week 2, seems that his recovery time is dragging out longer than anticipated. We could really use him spelling Bunkley and Vickerson this week. Bunkley plays at a high level, and Vickerson has down admirable as well. The depth behind them when they need a breather is the big worry.
They say 2 weeks, but that would be the hopeful thing to wish for, and Royal is most likely out until Oct 23rd at Miami, now that’s some significant time there.
Fox said Monday the team would not go into another game with only three active wide receivers, meaning we’ll either go with Riley or Goodwin and it might just give the edge to Goodwin who can help in the return game as Royal is out.
