is there a chance that Hackney will take over for Ramsey? Of course, i hope we never have to use our back ups, but atleast Hackney has more potential to getting us a win over Ramsey.

Yeah, I suppose Shanahan would say that teams are built from the 4th round on... What else COULD he say given most of the picks in the first three rounds under his watch. That said, the last 4 drafts have seemed pretty solid to me, so hopefully we can keep up the improvement and get back into contention with a quickness.

suzukilc: I would not say either Jackson or Scheffler is out performing the other. They both are having great camps, and both of them are getting their reps at TE. Nate does have good hands however, but with injuries in previous season, he has not seen as much action. As for DG, if you saw the preseason game, Cutler tried to hit Graham in the endzone.

cutlerfan: Thank you very much for the compliments. Always ready to help out a fellow Commodore

I also wanted to say "Thank You" for keeping us fan's updated. I am at Vanderbilt and can't see practice.

Thanks a lot!

I love what you wrote

"- Jay Cutler threaded the needle on several pass plays down the middle, including one bullet to Clifford Russell and another to Darrell Jackson. Both receivers caught the ball more with their chests than their hands, making a loud thump. Had they been in pads, it would have just been another pass play. Without pads, those fastballs to the chest could not have felt very good."

OMG...Peyton Hillis is back practicing. Im fired up now! Try Cecil Sapp as a RB too. The FB job is filled! I just hope he doesnt have another hamstring soap opera. Kid's a monster.

I'm leary abouting say this, but seems we have gotten more value out of our late rounders/UFA's than I could have ever imagined. I know Shanahan likes to say that teams are built from the 4th rd and beyond. However, man we got some great looking talent a Walmart prices.

Polumbus/Woodyard/Aldrige/Erickson? Add to that Barrett,Larsen, Hillis, Powell. Now that's some great drafting.

Is the reason Nate Jackson is starting over Tony about blocking or is he also performing that well as a reciever. I don't recall Nate having many catches in any year and Tony has demonstrated he can get hopen. Still hope to see Daniel Graham involved more in the passing game.
