Aloha from Aloha Stadium

February 8th, 2009 - 3:00pm by dave_gaylinn

So close… Manning’s pass tips off Marshall’s fingertips late for what would have been a touchdown in the second quarter…

I will hold off on the play-by-play. I’ll highlight Broncos moments through the game…

7-0 as New England’s Gostkowski hits the extra point…

6-0 AFC as Manning connects with Kansas City tight end Tony Gonzalez…

From this opening drive, it is evident that Marshall figures heavily into the game plan today as four of Mannings first few passes are directed to Denver’s standout pass catcher…

And Manning did indeed find Marshall for a 20-yard gain. I promise I posted that before the play started and Marshall did not clue me into the script…

Here comes Brandon Marshall as the AFC takes possession deep in its own territory. Let’s see if Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning can find Marshall to change field position…

We’re underway with a handoff to Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson. Wasn’t David Archuleta’s rendition of the National Anthem great?…

As the teams go through their pregame, warm up paces, I’ll just check in to say the three Bronco entries are thrilled to be here. I talked to all of them and the smile from each was visible from 30 feet away, despite their wearing helmets.

I am not planning to do a running play-by-play as you may be accustomed to during Broncos games, but I will check in from time to time with updates.

It’s all over folks! The new season is here starting tomorrow. The Pro Bowl was fun to watch but I’m ready to enjoy what appears to be an exciting off-season. Go Broncos! Lets make some good choices!
