On Thursday, the NFL announced a change in scheduling for late afternoon doubleheader games on CBS and FOX.
Games that previously kicked off at 2:15 p.m. MT will now move 10 minutes later to a 2:25 p.m. MT kickoff.
The change is designed to reduce overlaps with the end of 11 a.m. MT games. Any kickoffs at 2:05 p.m. MT — the Broncos have three — will remain unchanged.
The move currently affects four Broncos games this season — Week 3 vs. Houston, Week 5 at New England, Week 11 vs. San Diego and Week 17 at Kansas City.
As part of the league’s flex scheduling policy, the Broncos’ Week 15 matchup in Baltimore could also be moved into the late-game spot, meaning a move to a 2:25 p.m. MT kick.
The reasoning behind the shift in kickoff time is to allow more fans to see more football. It is designed to reduce instances in which fans miss the end of an 11 a.m. MT game on television because of the opening kickoff of their home team’s late game.
Before making the change, the NFL analyzed games during the 2009 through 2011 seasons and found that 44 games required part of the audience to be switched to the kickoff of a late game prior to the end of the early game. With a 2:25 p.m. MT kickoff time, that number would have been reduced to just 15 games — a 66 percent decrease.
The fan-friendly change will affect approximately 40 games over the course of the 2012 season.

Thanks to BudlightBronco, RoyalBroncofan1, and Ticat06. Thanks Kod! And thanks to everyone else who I hadn`t mentioned. I read only a day or so back. Yall are AWESOME!!
The house is in 1 piece, no damage at all. It smells like we had a big barbaque inside the house for a week straight. LOL
Strand glad to hear your ok as is your house and family. Glad to have you back!!!
Thanks Alaska! Bro, it was a scary time. Didn`t know what to expect. Its nice to be home and sleeping in my own bed. WOW!
Just to clear up any confusion when kod said it was 30 degrees, he is refering to celcius which is actually 86 degree fahrenheit,. I cant speak for him in Newfoundland but here in Ontario it was 86 before the humidity really felt like 102! Hard for our igloos to survive up here…
GO BRONCOS!!
My last BBBP before the first preseason game is Moreno will make the team and have 1200 all purpose yards and 10 tds.
No prob strand bro!!! Anytime…Hopefully though there will never be a next time where you have to leave your house though!
Glad you’re okay brotha!
Guess ive been pretty absent didnt know how close a call the fire was to strand. glad everything worked out. stay up bro.
later days trb
Hey all – good to see Strand and BLB. FREE THE BEAST!!!
Caught up, but I have no Bronco input…
Scalp: Got your BBBP.
Moreno is involved in about 1/4 of the predictions. Interesting the attention he’/s getting from we Bronco bloggers.
Hey y’all. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and happy early 4th of July to all in Broncos Country! Had to post this link for anyone who may have missed it, as IMO, this is a HUGE story. Might not sound like a big deal to some, but this guy might just be the sole reason that Peyton Manning will not only recover fully from injury, but be able to play out his entire contract. Seems brilliant in my mind that this guy was hired. Looks like the Stanford grad had a master plan all along….. Love it!

Congratulations to Missy Franklin who qualified to represent the United States with the swim team!!
At the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, the qualifying meet for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Franklin made the Olympic team for the first time by finishing first in her first event, the 100-meter backstroke. She will also compete in the 200 meter backstroke in London.
Missy Franklin attended Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado.
I really would love to see just one season where he is worth the high draft selection we picked him at. I also dont want another useless jersey lol (cutler, marshall moreno)
Not Denver news but news from the division that would benefit Denver if it happened.
Dwayne Bowe wants to go to Miami. He is currently an unsigned franchise tagged player.
Goodmorning bronco country, WOW AB wouldnt that be a nice addition in our backfield, but, him going to miami would be good for us.
One of my BBBP is that Moreno will be hurt, in a pre-season game, and, eventually wont be with the broncos this yr. He will be put on the PUP list before the season starts.
Second BBBP is that Derek Wolfe has 9.5 sacks this yr, and, is in the mix for Rookie Defensive Player of the Yr.

Didnt know that we still had that much cap space, Enough for another signing I suppose.
Dont we have like 3 guys that need to be signed yet?
MT2 we have 87 men on roster and Brock Prater and Hillman to be signed. That would mean 90 man roster is full.
Thats what I thought AB, whats taken so long on Brock?
Money. From what little has been reported I gather he wants the top money he can get for where he was drafter and Denver wants to give something in the lower half.
He should just be happy we took him, thought he had a good head on his shoulders.
