The New York Times NFL Blog — The Fifth Down — recently listed the top 10 players at each position along the offensive line.
At left tackle, right guard and right tackle, the Broncos got a lot of love.
The blog ranked Ryan Clady the No. 2 left tackle in the game. The reasoning: “Arguably the game’s most athletic lineman. Uncanny ability to recover instantly from mistakes (which, by the way, are few).”
Chris Kuper was listed as the No. 5 right guard in the league, due to his “excellent athleticism for his size. Quick, and lands well-placed blocks on the move.”
Ryan Harris cracked the top five at right tackle as well. The blog noted that he “moves with the dexterity of a left tackle.”
Later today, another Bronco or two will step to the podium, and we’ll have audio, video and a top story from the session. In addition, stay tuned, as the 2010 schedule could be released within the next week.

Not trying to make anyone mad but just expressing my views as a HUGE Marshall fan,and it’s like we just got slapped in the face, there is still hope, but don’t hold your breath by any means.
Goodbye. nan nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye.
Just kidding. I think we will surprise people and keep Marshall 1 more
year.
Thank all of you for the answers. Sorry that the question has become mute at this point.

every team had a chance to sign marshall for only a first round pick and $2.5 mil a year. now, we think that a team will offer more? or is a 2nd and 4th more? McD would not let him go for the 14 over all pick, so is he going to let him go for less? just MHO
Maybe they will keep Marshall he is a really good player and averages 100 catches a year. Sure he may have a bad rep but you dont find this talent growing on trees
YES BRONCOS BRANDON MARSHALL SIGNED OUR ONE YR TENDER HES BACK DA BEAST COMIN FOR ANOTHA 100CATCH SEASON JUST SEEN IT ON ESPN LETS GET A PLAYMAKER N DA DRAFT LETS GET IT BRONCO NATION
Seahawks losing Kerney to retirement could mean parting with top picks very unlikely….but still having Marsh to a tender, I FEAR any deal could be in place…..McD needs to re-evaluate his perspective….
I read a Redskins fan said “yeah Marshall signed his tender, now we need to find some way to trade Fat Albert for him,Well HeyHeyHey You can keep Fat Albert cause we don’t want him or his 100 MIL contract,he’s a 4-3 guy anyway dumbass Redskins fans anyway.LOL
Yeah broncos20 McD really needs to take a Hard look at what he is doing,I’m not telling him to trade Marshall or not, because it ain’t up to me,but if he does he needs to realize if he dosen’t get value outta him,he will be letting the fans down big time just to boost his own ego, just one man’s opinion that don’t mean a helluva lot.
Bottom line is the personality clash. Marshall has not been in trouble with the law for a long time. Haven’t heard a peep of negativity all offseason. He proved hip is healed 100 % no thanks to bronco doctors. I’d kick a ball in practice too when CHRIS SIMMS got paid more for the year. they were 8-8 with the 2nd best productive reciever in the entire league 2 yrs in a row. Imagine the record when it’s up to jabar gaffney.
Wouldn’t that be neat if Marshall showed up for conditioning with the Broncos tomorrow……??? He must be in town if he signed his tender…?
Most educated guesses is that he signed to facilitate a faster trade…
But maybe, just maybe he came to his senses and decided he was just going to play for the Broncos and prove he could change….??? What if Brandon just says “what the heck, I like this coach and I’m going to stay a Bronco and show him that I am worthy of a bigger contract.”
He could possibly coerce Mr. B to pay him more just by being there and working hard… Signing his tender does not mean they can’t give him an extension…
Or, now maybe we will trade him for another veteran player instead of a draft pick?? Remember the Champ for Portis swap.. Could there be some kind of high profile player trade in the works? Who is out there that we really want in leu of the Beast?
Even if McD is retarded, Xman and Bowlen arent…If we trade him, it will be for fair value or we are keepign him…Bowlen said only time he will block a marshall trade is if it wasnt beneficial. In other words, we wont give him away.
They were butt huggin each other in week 6 press conference. Sprinting down the sidelines to give mcd the td ball, which mcd was open arms. Seems to me it roses when they r winning weeds when they are losing. Marshall proved himself last season. Remember it wasn’t just him having problems with mcds personality it was several coaches and players. Some already axed or quit.
Kliss reports that we are taking Pouncey at the #11 pick, also said that a Center hasn’t been drafted that high since 1968,c’mon I like Pouncey too,but to take him at 11 when he is projected in some mocks at #18 to Pittsburgh,we could trade down at least 4 or 5 spots, pick up another 3rd or 4th pick and still get Pouncey,McD and Xanders need to draft well this year our team depends on it,all the $$$$ they spent signing those old players means we need to win NOW,before the hourglass runs out, another dumb reason to get rid of Marshall,we got a lot better chance of winning NOW with him than we do without him, sorry just don’t see Gaffney being our GO TO guy.
sadly OC, any other talented vet we want for Marshall, their teams know their value unlike ours…besides Marshalls value at the age of 25 is amazing. He has many more beastly years to come…Marshall has sucked it up alot, dunno how much longer he can. The trade is more likely than hims taying around on that cheap tender….besides, their had been rumor that Marshall will only sign his tender if a trade was in place…
that last rumor seems highly impossible since broncos couldnt even talk trade until marshall was under tender…so the talks probably began this afternoon.
DB good point, talk is thats why Nolan left.
I wish Pat Bowlen would step in and tell all this is how it is going to be; just pay the Brandon Marshall the money he deserves. Without him we are 5-11 last year. (Cowboys, Giants, and Patriots would have won with BM on the field). If there is any way possible fans could vote I am sure they would overwhelming say give a contract that makes him a Bronco for life.
No lie edetzi,a poll was taken and I think 69% of the fans wanted Marshall to stay.
4:19pm San Diego time. The latest word out has Denver talking trade with The Washington Redskins. Denver would receive Washington’s #4 overall pick and possibly a later round pick while Denver would give the Redskins Marshall and our #11 overall pick. This feels real. I don’t think that the Jets have the horses to pull off a trade that would include Mawae (Center) while Redskins owner Snyder has the proverbial unlimited checkbook. If Denver takes this trade I think it is a real possibility that we trade out of the #4 overall pick to load up on later picks. Dez Bryant is not Marshall and I doubt that even McD would make that mistake.
Mike in San Diego
We’ll I percieved it as a manhug indacating that they were building great respect and camaraderie….. Butthugging is something that real men don’t do…
Now I don’t recall Marshall having any problems with McD’s personality. It was more like McD and the rest of the guys on the team “except Scheffler” were having problems with Marshalls personality…
archangel if the story is true I definitely want Eric Berry at #4 he is hands down the best player in the draft.IMO…still rather have the Beast.
Klis can say some stupid things sometimes. They need to trade down if they go for pouncey.
As far as the players and coaches, Hamilton scheff hillis Ron turner dennison Nolan weigs even royal had some issues of not being wanted. We can disagree on this but i’d take several personality sides than one personality.
Mcnabb with Marshall. Lmao they would destroy defenses
arch77,
If washington is ready to surrender their #4 pick?? Then why didn’t this deal happen long ago? Why didn’t they just sign him to an offer sheet?
DB youre right on the money with that bro,I hope we keep the Beast, but if we can’t I would rather see him tearin up the Cowboys and Giants than to go to another AFC team that we have to play every year.
OC they want our #11 pick and Marshall, which isn’t that good of a trade for us,plus #4 will require a lot of $$$$$.
OC is right. 1st round picks are out of the question or offers wouldve been made. GMs know mcd just doesn’t like Marshall and can get him for less if Denver really wants him out. Either a player and mid round pick for him. Which blows
But if we can’t keep the Beast,I’ll take Berry, let Dawk groom him into the best Safety in the game.
I am not arguing that McD is hard to work with but i think Turner left because of familiarity and so did Dennison to work with people you have before and have a good relationship with makes the job more enjoyable
archangel77 where did you get this info from???is it credible???
If he’s gone I want him as far away from the afc west as possible cause he will be a multi probowler for years And years from now we will be watching ESPN classic ” worst trades in NFL history ” LOL
DB no doubt about that
I heard dennison had problems not wanting to change the zone block. Truth is we never really know unless we are hiding in the dove valley snooping
I just wished the drama would hurry and end before the draft,I don’t need something like this messing up one of the days I look most forward to out of the year.
DB Dennison is arguably the best Oline coach in the game, can’t blame him for not wanting to change his scheme,If it ain’t broke don’t fix it,is what I always say.
It’s kind of fun having 2 sides of fans to this. If he gets traded one side can say “i told you so” all summer, while the other side can say ” I told you so ” after every fall Sunday 100 yard multi catch games.
BFE I teared up when dennison left.
The interesting thing about Marshall is that, It doesnt matter who his QB is. Technically he has played for 3 different QBs. Plummer was short lived and that was his rookie season. But he has caught balls from Cutler, and Orton. As a Coach…I will want him for the simple fact that it doesnt matter who his QB is. If you dont have a top 5 QB in the league passing the ball to you. Then you are clearly talented. And marshall has had everything but top QBs, only second round pick i would take is the Rams, The first pick in the second round…Rams would have to give up the second and 3rd or maybe forth but Bradford and Marshall…They will be fine. If i own a franchise with a QB i am trying to develop I would want marshall cuz he has shown he can do it with any QB and even if they cant get it far….he will do all the work for the QB with YAC. Suprised he isnt gettign more bites
Drunken Bronc
its starting to feel like all ive been doing in the past year is teared up, Shanny – teared up, while cutler acted like a douche, i was a bit misty when he left, Nolan teared up, Dennison teared up, Turner teared up, Brandon Marshall??? rivers of tears lol….but im starting to get used to it…just like i am starting to get used to our midseason melt downs…
Lee Hamilton on sports radio 1090 in San Diego. He is probably the most credible guy that we have out here and he has a nasty habit of getting things regarding the AFC first; lots of friends. Great response on the reason for waiting for Marshall to sign his sheet hear in Denver. I have always said this and I actually do mean it. The Broncos may have the most intelligent fan base in the United States. BeastfrmtheEast92; I agree that Berry may be the most gifted player in the entire draft. This guy reminds me of a mix of Reed and Dennison. Hawks like Reed Hits like Dennison. Unfortunately; I can’t see McD making the selection when we went so heavy on Safety last year. However; having said that let me say this, Safety may be the most important postion on the field in todays longball NFL. If the braintrust for the Broncos agree’s then Berry is a possibility. I do know one thing for sure though; a lot of teams would be willing to trade up to get him.
Mike in San Diego.
LMAO TRB I hear ya
If we do get the #4 pick of Washington for BMarsh, I want Berry just as BeastfromtheEast said. I like It.
Great point TRB. It’s amazing how much pain we can get used to. I feel some of my Irish heritage when I think of the Broncos. No matter how much pain I won’t be the one to give up. Ouch!
Mike in San Diego
Being in San Diego surrounded by charger fans Im sure you go through enough pain lol
crap! They trade the beast I’m trading the Broncos for the Redskins. I’ve got UC and I can’t take much more of this crap. Our offense sucked without B. Marsh last season, my butt can’t take another year of this kind of stuff. I’ve got a 35 year love affair with the Broncos, please mold the talent we have and build around it. I’m gonna cancel my dish so I can’t see the games! LOL !!!!! This is making me crazy! Thank god the draft is coming next week! Go Broncos!
I`m gonna laugh my head off if nothing happens with this supposed Marshall trade. It`s like everybody wants the Bronco`s to lose him. The media know it all`s. They don`t know sqawt.
Hey if we make that trade to the redskins for the #4 pick and detroit goes with okung instead of drafting Suh or Mccoy we could might be able to grab Suh with the fourth pick and have himm develop under williams.
hi, this is mike’s son Gabriel over a year or two I’ve watched my dad right blogs such as the tribute to rod smith and i myself at 12 years of age have been a bronco fan all my life. i was born on January,23,1998
the day after i was born sitting in my fathers arms on Jan. 24 the broncos won the 1998 super bowl Ive watched great people such as rod smith and john elway the drive an amazing series of plays and just wanted to say hi while my dad talked to my smallest brother Leo (7 months) so here’s to you bronco nation.
mikes son in San Diego
I think trading Marshall is another huge mistake, unless they get a “GREAT” deal. Simply moving up from the 11th to the 4th is not worth it. Keep him here, he is getting paid almost nothing compared to what a 1st round draft pick, who has proved nothing, will require. He already knows the playbook and had developed some chemistry with his teammates. Save the money and lock up Doom and some of the other talented players we have for the next 5 years. Then focus on the draft.
Welcome Gabriel. What a cool story. Once a Bronco`s fan always a Bronco`s fan.
