A Day in the Life of Richard Quinn

July 13th, 2009 - 10:24am by Zach Eisendrath

Here is a short behind-the-scenes video we thought you might like to see on Richard Quinn. Up until his first NFL game, Quinn will be giving fans an all-access pass into his life by teaming up with JOCKlife.com in a multi-part series.

In part I of the series, Quinn reminisces about his draft day phone call with Head Coach Josh McDaniels and gives fans a glimpse of the team hotel Broncos rookies stayed at during OTAs. Enjoy.

Well I have always liked hearing from Rookies and what the coaches see in the players, and when the word Toughness and Intelligence become two of the main factors in picking a player, well that just makes me feel more confident in the way the Broncos are heading this year!

    GO BRONCOS!

I liked the Richard Quinn pick, he’ll prove to a very good TE. Mark my words..

  3. 831_Broncos_Fan says:

i think this guy is great but still MAD we gave up 2 3rd round picks just to get him with THE LAST 2nd ROUND PICK

read this article its so true

I still remember back in November when many people on this site was using Bly as the scapegoat. I hope he proves all you wrong and make you guys regret letting him leave.

  9. Dynamicdave says:

Yeah, I’ve already nicknamed him “The Mighty Quinn.” Lets hope he does us proud. It will be interesting to watch how camp plays out. See how all the rookies do. I know Knowshon Moreno will make it. That’s why I bought an orange Moreno jersey. It just arrived today. Yah buddy!

Some of you may not have read my article on Champ. Tell me what you think. (I know, I’m pimping my work, ha, ha).

Good Luck Quinn. hope you do great this season. Man we got a great crop of TE. we talking graham, sheffler, jeb and last but not least Quinn.

I was reading the article on Dre Bly. I really don’t think he sucked. No one exactly did well in the system last year. Even doom we were counting on was lacking. I wish Bly luck in SF. Even Marshall said it after the Dolphins game “Why are we playing 15 yards off no name wide recievers and giving them the underneath pass?” system was all round bad.

Speaking of Marshall, He hasn’t been practicing with us but according to article he was with Dre Bly for a youth camp to help train some up an commers. He can’t train with his team but he can do that??? Don’t get me wrong, glad he cares about the youth and all but hopefully he comes to training camp.

    ORANGE CRUSH ALL DAY!!!
    GO BRONCOS!!!

for all you Bronco fans who want to play fantasy football, hurry up and join the “Mile High Love” fantasy league on NFL.com. hurry, the draft is in 20 mins.!!!

  14. TheRoyalBeast says:

Thx for the article Babychamp. Great to see that Brandon is taking his proffesion seriously and is out there practicing/working out with the best from Jerry rice to Larry Fitz so that he is in great shape for the season.

This hold out was just bussiness, to see if he could get the money he deserves but like Marshall said, “When taining camp comes round, he is still on contract with the Broncos” Which shows that he should be there. Hes a great guy and I believe he is a man of charcter…..He just ALLOWS himself to get caught up in sh*tty situations. but like Rod Smith said,

“He’s an amazing talent, and once he figures out that he’s the only one that can stop his career, he’s going to be even more amazing.”

    ORANGE CRUSH ALL DAY!!!
    GO BRONCOS!!!

  15. theise says:

This is the next Daniel Graham 3 years from now when we don’t resign D. Graham.

  16. babychamp-broncos^ says:

TheRoyalBeast—I agree wit u totally hopefully things work out and we lock him down for atleast 4 more years I believe he can be dominant and dangerous in this new system…only time will tell

  17. Dynamicdave says:

831_Broncos_Fan, I think Denver were in the mindset that Quin wouldn’t be there in the 3rd. Quinn will earn his keep.

  18. Dynamicdave says:

    Meant Quinn, not Quin. Typo.

  19. Dynamicdave says:

The blog flagged my previous comment so try not to think too hard on my last post, ha, ha. I hate to repeat myself on a post so I won’t. Nothing bad was said, it just decided to flag me again.

  20. Invesco_Love says:

im sure you all heard mason retired and that made me think the ravens are desperate for a WR and they showed interest in marshall in the past it only gives them more motivation and a nother reason to go after him which scares me cause if we want orton to work in denver we are going to need a guy like marshall around am i right

  21. BradJamesBroncoFan says:

Quinn seems to be a thoughtful guy. If he can work his way into the lineup with Scheffler and Graham already as stalwarts, then I’ll know this kid is special. Of course I think he is now! This is not the time to be negative as Quinn will prove to be an excellent compliment to the team. As always, GO BRONCOS!!!

  22. bronco-blaze says:

Hey i noticed Ashley lelie is on the free agent list…. I would not mind picking him back up at all.

  23. Dynamicdave says:

No to Lelie. No, no, no.

Invesco_Love, I don’t think the Broncos are going to trade Marshall. he will stay a Bronco. In a hypothetical sitution though, remember that we now have McKinley, who Steve Spurrier said is the best WR he has EVER coached. Denver will always have weapons.

  24. BroncosRockdaRockies says:

I don’t think Bly was a scapegoat. But I do think he was overpaid considering his performance in the last 3 years. I mean cmon he barely tackled the Chiefs QB after being dragged 4 yards?

  25. BroncosRockdaRockies says:

    Lelie? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA

Omg what are some of these fans thinking? He is done, finito, caput!

  26. eeerockski says:

DynamicDave: Great article about Champ. There’s alot of info in that piece that I didn’t know. I feel he is still the best CB in the league also. You can’t knock Asomugha though (even as a Denver fan). It’s hard to get picks when nobody throws to you, just ask Champ. Hopefully the boys will put Champ in good position to regain his title as the premier CB in the league. But back to the article, I think it flowed nicely and was very informative. Good job.
